When it comes to honesty, quite a lot of people believe it is essential to

a person’s character and success.

They base their idea on the following reasons: on one hand, successful

business owes much to mutual trust; on another hand, great people in history

such as Abraham Lincoln andGeorge Washington set us good examples of being

honest, they are great because they are honest.

Their reasons run as following: to begin with, cheating on exams is

becoming more and more popular; in addition, some singers and movie stars cheat

Since then, I fell in love with Britney Spears, every girl wanted to be her. She was not only beautiful, but also could sing and dance so well. 公园里废弃的垃圾，地上时不时出现的一口痰，那些森林中光秃秃的树桩，我的眼中，似乎看不到生态，更看不到文明，或许是我缺少一双发现“美”的眼睛，或许这的确是现代社会的一大缺陷。报纸上无数的爆料，不也反应了这一点吗：不良商家为了利益，无限制地开采地下水，使得地下水水量急剧减少;某些热门景区免费开放过后，满草坪都是垃圾。也许，人们知道保护环境的重要，也知道保护环境人人有责，但是，为了提高生活质量，为了谋取更大的利益，却不得不以破坏生态环境为代价。

仔细想想吧，生态文明不也在逐渐影响着我们的生活吗?曾看到这样一条有趣的新闻：一名外国人跟随中国朋友绕着上海跑步结果却是，外国人得了重病，而那名中国人却安然无恙。在我们将此作为笑料的同时，各位想过吗，这不正是我们生态文明的问题所在?现在有沙尘暴，臭氧层空洞，以后将会有什么，如果地球真的变成某些电影中的那样，垃圾如山，如果空气中时不时飘来一股恶臭，你还会忍受吗?

再来说说低碳!现在低碳可是生态的代名词，低碳行动，其实我们随时都可以做到，来看看这些资料吧：少用一个塑料袋，减排二氧化碳0。1克;5层以下，以爬楼梯代替坐电梯，每次平均可减排二氧化碳600克;选择应季蔬菜水果，每千克减排二氧化碳400克;夏季空调调高1℃，平均每台每天可以减少排放175克二氧化碳;一棵树，一年可吸收18。3千克二氧化碳……低碳生活就在我们身边，我们不求零碳，但是，在资源匮乏的当下，我们要做的，是把有限的资源用于满足人们的基本需要，限制奢侈浪费。同时，养成“低碳生活”理念，在可选择、可替换的条件下，首选自然、环保、健康的生活方式。

Different people have different views on success. Some hold that making a great deal of money means success. Others argue that holding an important post in the government means success.
