那是星期五的晚上，我意外地接到了一个电话，那是我的表弟夏文轩打来的，他说他的毛笔书法在淹城博物馆展览了，邀请我去观看。我一听十分震惊，他比我还小一岁，写的毛笔字居然能去参展了，我心里不免有些暗自惭愧。

周六我早早地起床了，吃过早饭便催着妈妈赶紧带我去淹城博物馆，生怕晚去了博物馆会关门看不到书画展了。在我的催促下妈妈开车带上我急忙向目的地赶去。汽车飞驰在宽阔的高架上，窗外阳光明媚万里无云，但是我的心情却有点失落和沉重，心想：夏文轩写的字能够参展了，我的字什么时候能够来参展呢?

来到淹城博物馆，便看到了夏文轩已经先到了。他兴奋地带我们进了博物馆直奔他的作品面前，向我们介绍他的毛笔作品。看到他漂亮的毛笔字和他那兴奋的样子，我心里暗暗发誓：我一定也要好好写字争取有朝一日超过他。在他的带领下，我还参观了其他作品，我边看边发出啧啧的赞叹声。那些作品有的写得刚劲有力，有的写得龙飞凤舞。我穿梭在这些字画中，仿佛置身于艺术的天堂。

通过这次到淹城博物馆看书法展，我懂得了天外有天人外有人的道理，但是只要努力就一定能取得好的成绩!

Dragon Boat race Traditions

Mid-autumn day is a special festival in China, which is one of the

traditional Chinese festivals. Itfalls on the 15th day of august lunar month

every year. Our Chinese will celebrate it on that day. I think there are not too

many people can reject he temptation of it. I like this festival very much. I

have two reasons.

First of all, mid-autumn has the deep meaning of reunite. In china, people

regard mid-autumn day as very important, so no matter where they are, they will

come back to their family if there is a chance. They don’t like celebrate this

festival outside, which will make them feel lonely. Thus, they will go home by

all means. Luckily, the government also pays great attention to this traditional

festival. There are laws to make sure people have holidays in that special day.

In the other word, mid-autumn festival gives a chance for family get

together.

Secondly, every family will prepare a big meal in that day. All the food is

delicious. It is good to have a big meal. I think nobody will not interest in

delicious food. The mooncake is a necessary decoration for mid-autumn day. It

tastes good, too. It is the traditional for a long time. How pleased to enjoy

the glorious full moon with mooncake!

This is why I love mid-autumn festival so much. It is funny and happy

time.

As we know, many people favor the idea that the college life is free and

comfortable, but I’d like to say it’s not true. As a matter of fact, my life in

university is so busy that I wonder if my energy is enough. As to my college

life, I divide it into four parts, including study, student activities, library

and the others.

Firstly, I want to talk about the study. In my opinion, study is the

priority in college. When I received the letter of admission in summer, I knew

clearly that what I should do. So I make up my mind to study hard and pursue

learning as much as possible. I’m greatly convinced that knowledge can change my

life. Therefore, I often go to the quiet study room where many people study

there. By working so hard, I get good grades in the exams.

Secondly, student activities play an important role in our college life. To

be honest, the student Union is a good place where one can develop social

skills, get his abilities trained. I take part in many student activities. For

example, I’ m a volunteer, teaching the kids to learn to dance and write. I

think it’s meaningful for everyone to give a hand to others. I can also do some

jobs in the Student Union, including receiving and sending fast mail, selling

papers and magazines. I think they’re unforgettable and worthwhile experiences

Thirdly, I also visit the library constantly. It’s said that “shelves of

books, oceans of knowledge”, so I read books that I’m interested in. In this

way, I can share stories with my new friends and it also changes my horizons

.When I’m sad, lost or in trouble, staying the library makes me quiet and

comfortable. After all, every life has bad moments as well as good ones, and the

library for me is a support in bad moments. So it’s wise choice for me to stay

in the library.

Finally, I often do other things in my spare time. In order to alleviate

parents’ burden, I often do some part-time jobs and write some articles to earn

money. It helps me to be independent and improve my social skills.

In short, my life in university is busy but valuable. You can see that

study brings me knowledge, student activities improve myself, library changes my

horizons, the others things make me independent. They get all my abilities

trained. And I see that the chance will come only if you have a prepared mind,

so I’m sure that I can achieve my dreams in college life.

Eating patterns change over time. Ingredients cannot be seen before in a

Nowadays, more and more people prefer to travel quite often. Bytraveling,

aspect, I think we can make many friends and travel with them.

Firstly, we can enjoy the beautiful scenery and relax ourselves. For modern

life, we are busy with our work with high pressure. However, when we travel, we

will be attracted by great landscape and forget pressure from both work and

life.

Secondly, we can make friends by traveling. For most travelers, they tend

to find many companions to travel with. If you check the internet, you will find

that some people will call others to join them for travel. Through this kind of

travel, we can meet many different people and make friends with them to broaden

our social circle.

Thirdly, we can learn much knowledge form travel. Before you go to

somewhere to travel, generally, you need to make plans for your travel. You can

a certain area, the customs of different areas, local food and so on.

In conclusion, we can not only relax ourselves and make new friends but at

lives. Online shopping is also a new rising thing brought by the Internet. Since

its increasing developing speed, some people think that online shopping will

replace traditional shopping. However, as far as I am concerned, it wont happen

in a short time.

Although online shopping is really very convenient, there are still some

strong points of traditional shopping which cannot be replaced by online

shopping. Firstly, online shopping lacks the intuitional impression of goods.

2月6日，大姨夫带着我和小钰姐姐去洛阳博物馆参观洛阳的历史珍宝。

我们来到大厅，看到走廊两旁的墙壁上写有河洛文化展、古代石刻展、馆藏书画展、洛阳珍宝展、汉唐陶俑展、唐三彩展、宫廷文物展等介绍。上楼左转，有书画展，以宋明清为主的展品，主藏作品有苏轼、康有为、吴昌硕、齐白石、于右任等，我看到了栩栩如生的画，也看到了娓娓道来的说明。

出书画展向右走是汉唐陶俑馆。陶俑是中国古代丧葬文化发展到一定历史阶段的产物。有400余件洛阳汉唐陶俑，集中向人们展示了北魏李骨清像，唐俑高贵华丽。其中，我最喜欢的是三彩文官俑，他表情严肃，而三彩天王俑表情霸气，三彩女俑表情和蔼。

出唐俑展直走，到珍宝展。我进去看了蓝釉双龙瓶，多处涂过蓝釉，色泽明亮，我最喜欢的是白玉杯，白玉杯是该时代的玉器珍品，错金银铜鼎，圆球形，小巧玲珑，是珍贵的青铜制品。

我们还去看了很多馆。

这次去博物馆丰富了我的知识，也让我了解了一些洛阳的历史珍宝。

In our daily life, we can learn something from some cases. However, from my

point of view, I think that it is essential for us to know ourselves in a right

way. People who have a full awareness of the importance to improve themselves

will discover themselves continuously. Therefore, we can say that if we want to

change ourselves, we must bravely reveal ourselves.

Every coin has two sides, and we are no exception. When we experience some

situations, we will find that there are many advantages of us. Thus, we can have

a huge sense of satisfaction. We may have a little pride, because we are happy

11月12日下午，我们参加全国学术会的代表们来到了广东省博物馆，当我一眼看到博物馆的整体外观时，就觉得它的样子大气磅薄、别具一格。繁华都市里，在高楼大厦“小蛮腰”前，博物馆显得十分普通。但平凡中却给人以耳目一新的感觉，外观墙壁上凹凸有致的浮雕艺术，就更加展现出了它的与众不同。再进入大厅，就像走进一座华丽的金色皇宫，别出心裁的设计真让人眼前一亮啊！大家似乎都有一种被震撼到的感觉，我们按耐不住激动的心情，迫不及待地想要到每一个展厅进行参观，好好的去瞧一瞧、看一看，究竟有什么宝贝在博物馆里面？

首先来到广东历史文化陈列展厅。虽然没有讲解员跟我们一步步进行讲说，但我们还是对一些自己特别感兴趣的文物仔细的观看。

广东人的风俗习惯在每个地方是不一样的，如生子、嫁娶、祭祀，在什么时候不同的日子会有不同的礼仪。或许有的还看不太明白，不过这足以让我了解广东的特色。

一到海洋展览馆，就像进入到海底世界一般美丽。千千万万的海洋生物模型悬挂在高空中，再加上蓝色灯光，展现在我眼帘的是一幅壮观的场景。让我感受到海底世界是这么的有趣哟。

我以前就有去过很多的海洋馆，看到活灵活现的海洋生物，但都不太齐全。这里展现的5000年以前的化石都让人叹为观止。最先开始有生命的物种就在海洋里，然后一步一步演变，直到我们现在的人类。这一切的一切，历史都在见证海洋的改变，不过有新物种的产生就有濒临物种的灭绝。现在，由于温室效应的危机越来越严重，海平面逐年上升，南极冰川都开始融化 …所以，我们要爱护我们的地球，不要让我们的明天失去温暖的阳光。

不看不知道，一看吓一跳！先要设计起稿，再到选材、粘贴稿样，还要打坯、修光、打磨、贴金等复杂程序才完成。我心不禁被这小小木雕竟要经如此多程序才完成而震惊！我望一望雕木前的石块，又看一下雕琢后的木雕，呀！简直是天壤之别啊!……渐渐领悟出了古人所云“玉不琢，不成器”之意，是无数次雕琢成就了这近乎奇迹的成功。没有一件“器物”不由雕琢便能成品的，没有不劳而获的成功。自以为是“玉”，不愿去“雕琢”，持有傲慢态度的人，终究不能成“器”。即使是块宝玉、宝石，不通过挖掘、雕刻，也只能是一块烂石头；即使你是个人才，不愿付出汗水，也绝不能成功。相反，你付出努力，即使是烂泥，也能成为价值连城的陶瓷；即使是木头，也可成为精美绝伦的木雕；即使是白纸，也能成为闻名世界的名画。玉不琢，不成器。木愿雕，便成品。人更如此！

by making laws and by keeping the general public informed.

Firstly, governments can support research. For example, they should

encourage companies to develop vehicles that cause less pollution. They should

also support alternative sources of electricity from wind and water rather than

from oil and coal. As well, they should sponsor conferences to discuss the

effects of greenhouse gas emissions and possible solutions to the problem.

Secondly, they should make laws that limit the amount of greenhouse gases

that companies can emit. Private companies should be rewarded for following

these laws. They should also be punished for creating pollution.

Finally, everybody is affected by global warming. Therefore, it is

important that governments involve individuals in the problem solving process.

For example they should encourage households to save as much energy as possible

by using more efficient light bulbs or less hot water. They should also

encourage the public to recycle, and this should be compulsory for everyone.

Another way of saving energy is by public transport systems. Governments should

spend money on public transport to make it as easy as possible for the public to

save energy.

In summary, it is clear that there are a lot of things that governments can

do to prevent global warming. They should involve companies, support scientists

and encourage individuals to protect the planet.

Blair is my classmate as well as my best friend. We have already known each

other for ten years. We live in the same block so that we always go to school

together. She has long hair, big eyes and sweet smile, which makes her popular

in my class. Blair works hard and she is a good student in the eyes of teachers.

Besides, she is clever and kindhearted. When others turn to her for help, she

always tries her best to help. I feel proud to have such a good friend.

今天，我们怀着激动的心情和校长妈妈去雨花区非遗馆参观。

非遗馆就是非物质文化遗产博物馆，里面有湘绣、皮影戏、酒坊……

和蔼可亲的导游姐姐首先带我们参观了湘绣馆。她给我们介绍了双面绣、单面绣、色绣……一进馆，我们就看到了巨幅的单面绣-“开国大典”，毛主席在天安门城楼庄严地讲话，形象栩栩如生，逼真极了。导游姐姐告诉我们，这幅作品三个人一起绣了三年，真是一项巨大的工程，我从远处根本看不出一根线的痕迹，感觉就是一幅画。

接着，我们看了双面绣，正面是一只斑斓大虎腾空而起，仿佛在追一只猎物，背面就是一只纯白可爱的小猫咪，很悠闲地舔着自己的爪子，眼望着前方。我摸了摸这幅绣品，像一片很薄的玻璃，从反面竟然可以看到我的手掌，真是非常神奇！

最后我们看了色绣。色绣和双面绣一样，也有两面图案，正面是两片翠绿的荷叶托着一朵洁白的荷花，背面就是一朵一模一样的桔色荷花。

出了湘绣馆我们就去了手工场，里面有很多可爱的布娃娃，木头做的竹蜻蜓可以立在手指上，吹一下就能转起来，感觉它能飞起来似的。还有一个超级大的布南瓜，我甚至想吃了它。

我们还看了有趣的皮影戏、活字印刷体……也在馆内合了影，留了纪念。出了馆，大家恋恋不舍地回到了学校。

Each people all have own dream, some people want to be a writer, someone

wants to be a pilot, someone wants to be an astronaut, I want to be a human

engineer teachers. Someone may ask me: "when the teacher have a good, low wages,

work hard again, still not taken seriously by people", "the home has five grain,

improper king" but has it ever occurred to you, if there is no teacher to teach

knowledge, then we wouldnt it be a fool, because with the teacher teach us

knowledge, we human beings can become more and more intelligent, more and more

developed, it is because the teacher has given us a seam, we can swim in the sea

of knowledge. During the day, the teacher standing on three feet platform for us

to the lecture; Night, the moon has climbed up the tree, but the teacher in the

flickering light of hard exercise books for us on the road the bright red

tick... Maybe when one is surrounded by the joy of success, he would forget

their loved ones, but he will never forget my teacher, because he has a

teachers success is a credit.

I also is same, no matter how I look, how far, I will not forget my

respected teacher, because I am in the teachers care, love grow up under the

influence of bath, wherever I go to the end of the world will not forget their

own teacher, so I aspire to the teacher the profession. Now I was a pupil, I

must be hard, study hard, study hard, grow up to go in the dream three feet

platform.

Christmas Day is on December 25th, though it originated in the western

country, now it is popular around the world. In China, people will spend that

day happily, they will eat apples on Christmas Eve, the children will put the

socks so that they could get the presents from Santa Claus. When I went to

college, I had an unforgettable memory about my first Christmas Day.

As my major is English, I have many foreign teachers, so that I could have

access to the local culture from them. Christmas Day is a big day for them, when

the day came, they asked us to spend the day with them, because most of them

left home and did not have families around. My classmates and I went to the

foreign teacher’s home at that day, we brought some presents, when we arrived at

his house, we found a beautiful tree with shinning lights. My teachers taught us

how to cook all the cookies, we were having such great fun. I made the cookies

with many favors. We talked happily and sung Christmas songs.

I learned how the foreign people spend their big day, it was such

unforgettable for me.
