Since I go to middle school, I stay away from home and live in school from

Monday to Friday. The first time for me to leave home made me felt so lonely. I

did not have friends here and no one to count on. But I told myself that I

needed to try to be independent. So I solved all the problems by myself, I

washed my own clothes and cleaned the bed, which were done by my mother before.

I found that I could take care of myself without my parents’ help. What’s more,

I made good friends here, we had the same interest and we helped each other in

study. A year passed, I learned a lot and became independent.

Last weekend, On Saturday morning I got up at 6;30. After breakfast I did

my homework at home.

In the afternoon , I played football with my friends on our playgroud. In

the evening I watched TV with my parents at home.

On Sunday morning I went to visit my grandparents with my mother. In the

afternoon I went to go fishing with my grandpa. We had a good time . I went back

home with my mother in the evening. What a wonderfu weekend !

一进博物馆就是一个大厅，大厅里有指示牌，上面清楚地介绍展区的分布。博物馆总共分为5层，分为东区西区。

首先我来到的是“古代绘画艺术精品展厅”,这里陈列的是明清绘画作品。对于绘画作品我可以说是一个完全的门外汉，但我也能感受到文人画家通过笔墨丹青，挥洒出的那种意境深邃、飘逸、青幽、惟美的精神世界。顺着二层的螺旋结构我来到了三层的“明清书法艺术精品展”，以收藏或流传于北京的明、清时期的名家墨书精品为主线，展示北京书法艺术的特色。四层有“燕地青铜艺术精品展”，以反映燕国青铜器文化面貌为主线，从铸造技术、造型、纹饰诸方面展示北京最早的青铜艺术。四层还有“京剧文物展”，有那些漂亮的脸谱，戏服，听戏的茶楼，坐在小桌旁看着前面的大屏幕正在上演的戏剧，能真实亲切感受到当时来茶楼休闲的人，那种自在享受的心情。

四层还有我最关注的也是看的最仔细的“古代瓷器艺术精品展”，它分宋辽金、元、明、清四个展厅，以宋辽金至明清时期北京地区重要遗址、墓葬、窑藏出土文物为主。该展览充分展示了北京各个历史时期出土及传世瓷器精品，反映了我国古代陶瓷发展史各阶段发展轨迹，集中体现了中华瑰宝----中国古代瓷器艺术的历史风貌。

刘墉书法作品

这里有太多让我吃惊，甚至是让我震撼的作品。很多我以前只在书上见过，没想到这次可以见到实物，这让我非常的兴奋。有一件工艺绝对堪称精细，那就是景德镇窑青白釉戏剧舞台人物纹枕，此瓷枕雕镂成戏台形式，戏台上珠帘漫卷，众多演员正在演出一场戏剧，反映了元代戏剧流行的社会风尚。瓷枕镂雕精细，集建筑、舞台与瓷塑艺术于一体，表现出元代戏剧艺术的面貌及景德镇窑工高超的制瓷工艺。瓷枕里边的人物、舞台竟也雕刻的如此精致。而且它的舞台梁柱、栏杆都非常的细，真怕轻轻一碰就会断掉。不知道怎么会保存到现在还这么完整。真是让我激动感慨万分!陶瓷展厅里的很多展品都太让我大开眼界了，可惜记忆有限，不能在这里一一列举了。真希望还有机会，让我看的更仔细一些。

依依不舍的离开了四层，来到了五层。五层是“古代玉器艺术精品展”，分为新石器至南北朝时期、隋唐至辽金时期、元明清时期三大部分。本展览从展现北京玉器文化的角度出发，反映了北京地区的玉器发展史和艺术特色。我非常喜欢青白玉，看上去非常的纯净，有些可以说是晶莹剔透，看了就让人喜欢。五层还有“老北京民俗展”，在这个展厅随处可见用小泥人模仿当时婚庆热闹喜庆的场面，透露出当时纯朴的民风民情。除了这些还记得有剪纸展，风筝展，北京小吃展，服饰展。

时间就这么匆匆过去了，没有办法，我依依不舍的离开了首博。真想让我的家人也来看看，绝对不枉此行。留给我的是太多惊奇，太多的震撼，我到现在都处在兴奋之中。

今天，我和爸爸妈妈一起去了山东博物馆，那里非常好玩，就让我来介绍介绍它吧!

山东是中华文明的重要发祥地之一，八千年的悠久历史，使山东成为文化积淀丰厚、文物资源居全国前列的文化大省。山东博物馆是新中国成立后第一座大型综合性地志博物馆，馆藏文物20多万件，尤其是陶瓷器、青铜器、甲骨文、简牍、汉画像石等最具特色。

其中国宝级文物3件，一级藏品1388件，藏书12万册。馆藏文物居全国第七位，一级藏品居全国第四位。

是全国收藏甲骨文最多的省份之一。

商代的亚醜铜钺、祖辛方鼎，西周的子鼎等青铜器，以器形、铭文、为世人所瞩目。临沂银雀山出土的《孙子兵法》、《孙膑兵法》等西汉竹简，列本世纪中国十大考古发现。明鲁荒王朱檀墓出土的近千件文物，以唐琴宋画、珠宝玉翠而最为著名。此外，古生物化石中的山旺山东鸟、巨型山东龙等化石标本，也是自然标本中的稀世珍品。

博物馆里共分三层，一层是佛教造像艺术展、汉代画像艺术展和三个特别展厅;二层是孔子文化大展、山东历史文化展、明代鲁王展、馆藏书法及绘画展;三层是话说考古和考古成果展。

There are many different beliefs about the origin of the Lantern Festival.

But one thing for sure is that it had something to do with celebrating and

cultivating positive relationship between people, families, nature and the

higher beings they believed were responsible for bringing/returning the light

each year.

One legend tells us that it was a time to worship Taiyi, the God of Heaven

in ancient times. The belief was that the God of Heaven controlled the destiny

of the human world. He had sixteen dragons at his beck and call and he decided

when to inflict drought, storms, famine or pestilence upon human beings.

Beginning with Qinshihuang, the first emperor to unite the country, all the

emperors ordered splendid ceremonies each year. The emperor would ask Taiyi to

bring favorable weather and good health to him and his people. Emperor Wudi of

the Han Dynasty directed special attention to this event. In 104 BC, he

proclaimed it as one of the most important celebrations and the ceremony would

last throughout the night. They clean it all up in the morning.

Another legend associates the Lantern Festival with Taoism. Tianguan is the

Taoist god responsible for good fortune. His birthday falls on the 15th day of

the first lunar month. It is said that Tianguan likes all types of

entertainment, so followers prepare various kinds of activities during which

they pray for good fortune.

Yet another common legend dealing with the origins of the Lantern Festival

speaks of a beautiful bird that flew down to earth from heaven, which was hunted

and killed by some villagers. This angered the Jade Emperor in Heaven because

the bird was his favorite one. Therefore, he planned a storm of fire to destroy

the village on the 15th lunar day. The Jade Emperors daughter heard of this

plan, and warned the villagers of her father’s plan to destroy their village.

The village was in turmoil because nobody knew how should they escape their

imminent destruction.

However, a wise man from another village suggested that every family should

hang red lanterns around their houses, set up bonfires on the streets, and

explode firecrackers on the 14th, 15th, and 16th lunar days. This would give the

village the appearance of being on fire to the Jade Emperor. On the 15th lunar

day, troops sent down from heaven whose mission was to destroy the village saw

that the village was already ablaze, and returned to heaven to report to the

Jade Emperor. Satisfied, the Jade Emperor decided not to burn down the village.

From that day on, people celebrate the anniversary on the 15th lunar day every

year by carrying red lanterns on the streets and exploding firecrackers and

fireworks.

There are many stories on how this festival was created. One other story is

about a maid. In the Han Dynasty, Mr. Eastern was a favorite advisor of the

emperor. One winter day, he went to the garden and heard a little girl crying

and getting ready to jump into a well to commit suicide. Mr. Eastern stopped her

and asked why. She said she was a maid in the emperors palace and her name was

Yuan-Xiao.

She never had the chance to meet her family after she started worked at the

palace. She missed them so much every 12th lunar month. If she couldnt have the

chance to show her filial piety in this life, she would rather die. Mr. Eastern

promised her to find a way so she could reunion with her family. Mr. Eastern

left the palace and set up a fortune-telling stall on the street and disguised

himself as a fortuneteller. Because of his reputation, many people asked for

their fortunes.

But every one got the same prediction - a severe fire accident on the 15th

lunar day. The rumor spread quickly. Everyone was worried about the future and

asked Mr. Eastern for help. Mr. Eastern said, "On the 13th lunar day, the God of

Fire will send a fairy lady in red to burn down the city. If you see a lady in

red wearing green pants riding a black horse on that day, you should ask for her

mercy." On that day, Yuan-Xiao pretended to be the red fairy lady. When people

asked for her help, she said, "Im the messenger of the God of Fire and came to

check on the city and Im going to set up fire on 15th. This is an order from

Jade Emperor. He will watch from the heavens.

I will give you a copy of the imperial decree from the God of Fire. You

should go to ask your emperor to find a way out." After she left, people went to

the palace to show the emperor the decree which reads "The capital city is in

trouble. Fire burns on the palace, and fire from Heaven burns all night long on

the 15th." The emperor of Han Dynasty was very shocked. He called and asked Mr.

Eastern for advice. After pondering for a while, Mr. Eastern said, "I heard that

the God of Fire likes to eat Tang-Yuan (Sweet dumpling). Does Yuan-Xiao often

cook Tang-Yuan for you? On the 15th lunar day, let Yuan-Xiao make Tang-Yuan.

Your Majesty will take charge of the worshipping ceremony and you will give

an order to every house to prepare Tang-Yuan to worship the God of Fire at the

same time. Also, deliver another order to ask every house in the city to hang

red lantern and explode fire crackers. Lastly, everyone in the palace and people

outside the city should carry their lanterns on the street to watch the lantern

decoration and fireworks. If everything goes this way, the Jade Emperor would be

deceived.

Then everyone can avoid the fire accident." The emperor happily followed

the plan. Lanterns were everywhere in the capital city on the night of the 15th

lunar day. People were walking on the street. Fire crackers kept making lots of

noise. It looked like the entire city was on fire. Yuan-Xiaos parents went into

the palace to watch the lantern decorations, and Yuan-Xiao made a big lantern

and wrote her name on the lantern. They happily reunited together after her

parents called her name. Everybody was safe during the night. The emperor of Han

Dynasty had a new order that people should do the same thing every year. Since

Yuan-Xiao cooked the best Tan-Yuan, people called the day Yuan-Xiao

Festival.

Young people were chaperoned in the streets in hopes of finding love.

Matchmakers acted busily in hopes of pairing couples. The brightest lanterns

were symbolic of good luck and hope. As time has passed, the festival no longer

has such implications.

Those who do not carry lanterns often enjoy watching informal lantern

parades. In addition to eating tangyuan (simplified Chinese: 汤圆; traditional

Chinese: 湯圓; pinyin: tāngyuán), another popular activity at this festival is

guessing lantern riddles (which became part of the festival during the Tang

Dynasty), which often contain messages of good fortune, family reunion, abundant

harvest, prosperity and love.

April 12 is memorable because our clahad a meaningful experience on that day. In the morning, we bicycled to the suburbs to plant trees, talking and laughing all the way. Upon arrival, we began to work immediately. Some were digging holes. Some were carrying and planting young trees. Others were watering . After getting the work done, we put up a board reminding people to protect the trees. Before leaving we took some photos to record our green action. Mid-autumn day is a special festival in China, which is one of the

traditional Chinese festivals. Itfalls on the 15th day of august lunar month

every year. Our Chinese will celebrate it on that day. I think there are not too

many people can reject he temptation of it. I like this festival very much. I

have two reasons.

First of all, mid-autumn has the deep meaning of reunite. In china, people

regard mid-autumn day as very important, so no matter where they are, they will

come back to their family if there is a chance. They don’t like celebrate this

festival outside, which will make them feel lonely. Thus, they will go home by

all means. Luckily, the government also pays great attention to this traditional

festival. There are laws to make sure people have holidays in that special day.

In the other word, mid-autumn festival gives a chance for family get

together.

Secondly, every family will prepare a big meal in that day. All the food is

delicious. It is good to have a big meal. I think nobody will not interest in

delicious food. The mooncake is a necessary decoration for mid-autumn day. It

tastes good, too. It is the traditional for a long time. How pleased to enjoy

the glorious full moon with mooncake!

This is why I love mid-autumn festival so much. It is funny and happy

time.

一下车，我就被他那气势磅礴的建筑所吸引。在大门的上面，写着“东莞博物馆”几个镶金的字，在阳光的照耀下，变得金光闪闪。我们迫不及待地走了进去。

一进门，我就看见了石经塔。它又名叫镇象塔，高3、4米，由须弥座、幢柱、复盆、四方佛塔等组成。

转一个弯，就可以看见至正大铜钟了。它高2.1米，口径1.11米，重2500公斤。四周铭文间竖铸“风调雨顺、国泰民安、法轮常转、佛日增辉。”钟腰横铸六字大明咒：“庵嘛呢巴弥哞”和梵文明咒。听另一个学校的同学说，如果摸了它，将会很痒。我和王慧慧摸了它，果然手上感到奇痒无比。

随后，我们又在二楼参观了许多美丽多姿的昆虫。其中最让我感兴趣的是竹节虫。它的身子长长的，四肢也是细长细长的，身上披着绿色或黄色的“衣服”。竹节虫藏在树枝上，如果你不仔细看，还真以为那是树枝呢!竹节虫由此而得名。竹节虫大小不一，大的和一支没削的铅笔相同;小的呢，只不过是小拇指大小。在竹节虫的当中，有那么一只，它的四肢还长了几片枯黄的“叶子”。这样，它就可以更好地伪装自己啦!我们还看了金龟子、蜘蛛、蜈蚣、甲虫、螳螂、蝴蝶(或许梁山伯和祝英台就在里面呢)…… 接着，我们还参观了却金碑、邓白先生的“丹荔鸣蝉”、康有为的书法、陈伯陶的书法、两具明代的骨尸、西汉木墓……

especially the university students in that they consider that volunteering is

进入中国电影博物馆，只是轻轻地靠近它，就被它的外表所深深吸引。从博物馆建筑正面看，上部是有数种几何形图案的随机结合，远观如繁星满天，近看则各具形态。它的寓意也与电影有关，博物馆的工作人员介绍说：“不仅在建筑外部，在建筑的内部也有很多星状的设计，它象征着我们的电影百年历史中群星璀璨。”博物馆外观主体色调是墨绿色，并配以黑白两色，使得中国电影博物馆整体看起来犹如一只暗盒，我想它是象征着电影制作和放映过程都是在黑色世界里完成。

这真像是一座神奇的宫殿，让人情不自禁地想推开宫门进入它的世界去了解它。的心情，踏过红地毯，轻轻地走进电影博物馆，伴随着优美的音乐，不断变幻着的灯光，听着讲解员地细细诉说，仿佛一切都是那么美妙。我们的眼睛目不暇接，急于要把博物馆里的每一幅画，每一件展品都能深深地刻在脑海中，让它在记忆中成为永恒。

在巨幕影厅我们观看了电影《长江》，超大的银幕充分的展现出了长江的博大、雄伟、美丽和壮观。

走进数字电影厅，我又过了一把瘾，坐在一块漂亮的毛毯上，透过屏幕看到毛毯载着自己在蓝天中飞翔，心里说不出的激动，原来这就是通过数字电影技术来完成的电影中的某些特殊镜头，让人不得不佩服数字电影的神奇魔力。还没有来得及细细品味，细细感受，时间就匆匆地过去了。

5月22日，我们来到中国电影博物馆参观，收获很大，感受到了电影博物馆是一座记载着中国电影悠久的历史和灿烂的文化的艺术殿堂。

我了解到，中国电影博物馆是目前世界上最大的国家级专业博物馆，是纪念中国电影诞生100周年的标志性建筑，是展示中国电影百年发展历程、博览电影科技、传播电影文化和进行学术交流研究的艺术殿堂，集权威性、知识性、艺术性于一体。

The Lunar New Year

The Lunar New Year occasion to the Chinese people. It lasts about the first four days of the year, during which people do not work except for the workers on duty. Students do not go to school, and shops are closed.

Several days before the new year, people begin to prepare. Farmers kill pigs, sheep, cocks and hens. City dwellers buy meat fish and vegetables. Houses are cleaned; couplets are posted on the doors. Colourful lanterns are hung at the gate.

On the eve of the new year, each family has its members gatherd together and eats a family reunion dinner. After the meal they watch TV until the clock strickes twelve. Then every family sets off long strings of small firecrackers and other fireworks to welcome the new year. On the first day of the new year, almost everyone is dressed in his or her best. Whenpeople meet on the way, they say to each other "Happy New Year". Friends and relatives pay new year calls and gives presents to each other. Children indulge themselves in games.

春节

I am in primary school now, and I like my campus so much. The first time I

walk in the school, I am attracted by its beautiful scenery. There are so many

green trees and colorful flowers around. The environment here is so lively. So

many students do the sports in the playground. The comfortable environment makes

me study in good mood.

Halloween

Halloween is an autumn holiday that Americans celebrate every year. It means "holy evening," and it comes every October 31, the evening before All Saints Day. However, it is not really a church holiday, it is a holiday for children mainly.

Every autumn, when the vegetables are ready to eat, children pick large orange pumpkins. Then they cut faces in the pumpkins and put a burning candle inside. It looks as if there were a person looking out of the pumpkin! These lights are called jack-o-lanterns, which means "Jack of the lantern".

The children also put on strange masks and frightening costumes every Halloween. Some children paint their faces to look like monsters. Then they carry boxes or bags from house to house. Every time they come to a new house, they say,"Trick or treat! Money or eat!" The grown-ups put treat-money or candy in their bags.

Not only children, but most grown-ups also love Halloween and Halloween parties because on this day,they can disguise themselves as personages or ghost as their imaginations will lead them. This bring them the satisfaction of being young.

每年秋天蔬菜成熟可以食用的时候，孩子们就会挑出大个儿的橙色南瓜。然后在南瓜上刻上一张脸，把一根点燃的蜡烛放在里面。看起来就好像有人在向南瓜外面张望。这些灯就叫做“iack-o-lantems”，意思也就是“杰克的灯”。

每年万圣节前夕孩子们还戴上奇怪的面具，穿上吓人的服装。有些孩子把脸刷成怪物。然后他们拿着盒子或袋子挨家挨户串门。每来到一个新房子他们就说：“不款待就捣乱!给钱还是吃的!”大人们就会把用来招待的钱或糖放在他们的袋子里了。

不仅孩子，许多成年人也喜欢万圣节前夕和万圣节前夕晚会。因为这一天他们可以根据自己的想象把自己装扮成名流或幽灵。这会带给他们年轻的快感。

21st century is the century of technology. Nowadays, technology is

everywhere around us. The development of technology has a significant affact

toward the society. Several technologies that we usually use are the internet,

computer, and cellphone. These new technologies make our life much easier and

better.

First, the development of computer changes our life. Decades ago, people

needed to do lots of complex calculation on hand because they did not have

computer, and more obvious, they did not have the software for calculation. As

the result of that, people spent hours on the equations that a computer can

solve in just a minute. Since the development of computer, people are able to

use some kind of software to compute lots of complex functions and mathematical

calculation. Computer becomes the most helpful equipment for the sciencists

because they can use their time more efficiently.

Also, internet is another useful tool for us today. The development of

internet brings a great impact toward the society. Instead of going to library

and fliping all the books to figure out some information, we can just simply use

a mouse and click on the website to do research. The internet leads us to a

place where we can find unlimited information and resources. It makes our life

much easier and better.

The last technology is cellphone. Nowadays, many people have a cellphone.

But it just appears on the market for about 10 years. It is very convenience to

the users because we can talk to anyone we want with a phone as small as a

wallet. Also, we can communicate with others by making a phone call instead of

sending letters. It is very fast and useful way to communicate.

In conclusion, I believe the development of technology brings significant

impact to our life. It is very helpful to us and I believe technology will keep

improving in future.

On Sunday morning, my parents took me to the zoo. We dint go there for a long time. Last week, my classmates told me that the zoo added some funny entertainment facilities. I was very curious. So, I asked my parents to took me there and they promised to. We got there at 9 oclock. There were many people. Most of them were parents and children. We first went to see the animal. I like parrots most. And then we saw the animal shows. Elephants, tigers, lions and monkeys did wonderful shows for us. People were happy, especially the children. After that, we went to experienced the entertainment facilities. My mum was too scared to be with us. So, only my dad and I played. It was so exciting, but I was a little dizzy. However, I was very happy. It was a great day.

星期天早上，我父母带我去动物园。我们很久没去那里了。上周，我同学告诉我动物园新增了一些好玩的娱乐设施。我很好奇，所以我叫我妈妈带我去，而且她答应了。我们9点就到那了。那人很多，大部分是家长和孩子。我们首先去观看动物。我最喜欢鹦鹉。接着我们看了动物表演。大象，老虎，狮子和猴子给我们表演了精彩的节目。人们都很高兴，特别是小孩子。之后，我们去体验了娱乐设施。我妈妈很怕，不敢跟我们一起。所以，只有我和爸爸玩。它很刺激，但是我有一点点头晕。但是，我还是很开心。这真是很棒的一天。

I want to have a pen friend， hopefully a girl in her early twenties， and with interests similar to mine。 In my mind， she is someone who is interested in traveling， swimming， and playing table tennis。 Besides， it would be better for her to have a pet dog as I have kept one at home for some time。 With such a pen friend， I think I can share with her our traveling experiences， taking care of pets， or whatever we have in mon。 And I believe I will improve my English by doing so and learn more about her country。

I have a dream, deeply rooted in my mind, that is when I grow up, I want to
