Yesterday afternoon, when I was sitting in the classroom and listening to

the teacher. Suddenly, the screen seemed moving and it started to shake. My

teacher stopped his class and then he asked us to calm down. He let the students

who were close to the door left first, and then the rest of us ran out of the

classroom one by one. After a while, everything seemed to be normal, the teacher

asked us to go back to the classroom. Later I learned that there indeed came the

earthquake. I admired our teacher so much, in the important moment, he did not

Shen Fang is a primary school teacher. She teaches Chinese in a fourth

grade class. She helps the boys and girls read and write. Her classes are

The Chinese people, in their drinking of tea, place much significance on

the act of savoring. Savoring tea is not only a way to discern good tea from

civilization and a land of ceremony and decorum. Whenever guests visit, it is

necessary to make and serve tea to them. Before serving tea, you may ask them

for their preferences as to what kind of tea they fancy and serve them the tea

in the most appropriate teacups. In the course of serving tea, the host should

take careful note of how much water is remaining in the cups and in the kettle.

Usually, if the tea is made in a teacup, boiling water should be added after

half of the cup has been consumed; and thus the cup is kept filled so that the

tea retains the same bouquet and remains pleasantly warm throughout the entire

course of tea-drinking. Snacks, sweets and other dishes may be served at tea

time to complement the fragrance of the tea and to allay ones hunger.

I think Mid-Autumn Day is an old traditional festival in China。 Everybody likes it because its a family get-together。 You see it is called"Mid-Autumn Day"， so it often es in September or October。 It is on the 15th of the 8th of the lunar month。 Now， lets say something about this interesting festival。

Secondly， I11 say something about the tradition on Mid-Autumn Day。 Look!Theres a big tree in a garden of a Chinese fami-ly。 All the family members are sitting around a big table under the tree in the open air。 They are eating the mooncakes and admiring the full moon in the sky。 That is a family reunion dinner。 The mooncakes and the moon represent the love from a family。 I think this is one of the most valuable things in the world。

Thirdly，it is a very good opportunity to make three wishes on Mid-Autumn Day。 My wishes are: the first， I， an astronaut in the future， would like to go to the moon one day， and stay with the sky and stars; the second， I hope every person in the world will stay with family， share love from the family forever; the third， I hope everybodys dream will e true。

That is the Mid-Autumn Day in my mind。 I will always re-member: East or West， home is best。

Cars and Air Pollution

Too many cars have created a lot of serious problems in our world. Besides congestion, accidents and fast fuel consumption, cars are responsible for a good part of air pollution in big cities. All the time, they are pumping huge amounts of waste gases into the atmosphere. These gases are very harmful, causing disease and even death.

One possible solution is to design and develop clean cars and clean fuels. In Shanghai, some of the public buses begin to run on natural gas, which does not give off as much carbon dioxide as the petrol. But it may take decades for the new models of clean cars completely replace the traditional ones. Another solution is to develop modern public transportation systems and restrict the use of private cars. If the price of petrol rises constantly and the public vehicles are efficient and convenient enough, most people will not buy private cars. And the total number of cars in big cities will reduce greatly.

On the whole, the elimination of air pollution needs the collective efforts from the government, the public and the environmentalists.

环境保护

Spring Festival ,known as the Chinese New Year,is the most important

holiday in China.From late January to early February,Chinese people are busy

preparing for the New Year.They clean their houses ,have their hair cut,and buy

new clothes .Jiaozi or dumpling is most popular.To those who live far away from

their home,this festival is also a framily reunion occasion.

And they often go back home to celebrate the festival with their family.The

first day of the new year is the time when people visit their friends adn wish

each other good luck in the new year.

When I learned English, I felt so hard, because no matter hard I tried, I

just could not understand the grammar. One day, my sister asked me why was I so

confused with English, I told her I did not know, I was so afraid of it. Then

she asked me to watch English movie and listened to the English songs.

At first, I fell in love with these songs, I learned to sing them, I found

I could remember more and more words. I also felt very interested in the movie,

I could learn the local words. With interest, I make great progress, I am not

afraid of English any more. Interest is the best teacher.

下午我和爸爸妈妈一起去参观煤炭博物馆，很早就知道山西的煤是全国产量最多的省份，今天可以亲眼见识一下，学习更多的知识了。

当进入第一展厅，导游阿姨给我们介绍了山西省主要产煤在哪几个地方，同时也看到了用煤堆成的旺火，也看到了许多用煤精雕刻而成的作品，每个作品生龙活虎、栩栩如生，别看全是黑色的作品，但每幅作品都有各自的特色，非常的漂亮。

在第二个展厅里全是挖煤的工具，从最早的古代到现代的挖煤工具，真是大开眼界。第三个展厅是煤的形成，为了更深的了解煤的形成，我们观看了一部立体电影，进去前每人发了眼镜，看到的屏幕上出现的画面，让我学到了许多课本上学不到的东西，我还感受到亲自和那些动物在一起的感觉，也感受到海洋向我扑来的感觉，真好玩。

下一个展厅里导游阿姨告诉我们煤的用途，我们也看到了煤的生产过程，也看到了煤是怎么被人们所利用的，煤的用途实在多，知道现代化的管理给我们的煤炭管理带来了许多的方便，同时也了解在井下会遇到的几种情况，当遇到危险情况时，煤矿工人会怎么处理，会怎么和上面的人联系。

随后我们又到了摸拟矿井，导游阿姨给我们每人一顶安全帽，帽上还有灯，我们随着电梯下到了了井下，井下好黑，我紧随阿姨，生怕自己走丢，在井下我看到煤矿工人怎么挖煤，怎么运煤……我们在底下足足走了二十多分钟，里面的设备全是现代化的，而且和煤矿井下一模一样，阿姨讲解让我懂了许多知识。

当我们从井下出来，就到了调度室，阿姨告诉我们煤炭井下情况这里全都知道，哪有情况，这里是第一时间知道的，我也看到了好几个电视在上面，从不同角度可以看到井下所的地方。

今天的参观很有意思，让我，让爸爸妈妈都学到了许多的东西，下次我还要来，更深了解煤的知识。

时光飞逝，短暂而又愉快的假期生活已经结束了。接下来我所面临的是紧张而又愉快的新学期的教育教学生活。为把新学期的教育教学工作做好，特此作如下教学计划：

一、指导思想。

坚持马列主义，毛泽东思想。高举邓小平理论伟大旗帜，认真学习教育理论，贯彻“三个代表”重要指导思想，积极响应和贯彻素质教育钻研素质教育的实质。“减负”的内在，并以此指导自己的教育教学工作，遵循教育教学规律，紧扣大纲，把我教学层次，不断提高自己的业务水平。

二、基本情况。

这一学期，我继续担任初一(1，2)班的英语教学工作。这两个班级，每班各有学生三十五人左右，但是，基础却不尽人意。初一.1班的学生基础还可以，但是2班的基础却相差很远，学生基础参差不齐，两极分化严重，没有学习的兴趣。因此，教学工作开展的相当困难。

三、教材特点。

初中英语第一册(下)主要介绍了日常生活的交际用语以及一些西方国家的文化背景和风俗习惯，教材通俗易懂，旨在使初一级学生基本能用英语进行简单的交流。

四、教学目标。

力争在期末考试中优秀率打到30%左右，及格率达到60%左右。缩小学生间的差距。为下一学期的英语教育教学工作打下以良好的基础。

五、具体措施。

1、每天背诵课文中的对话。目的：要求学生背诵并默写，培养语感。

2、每天记5个生词，2个常用句子或习语。实施：利用“互测及教师抽查”及时检查，保证效果并坚持下去。

3、认真贯彻晨读制度：规定晨读内容，加强监督，保证晨读效果。

4、坚持日测、周测、月测的形成性评价制度：对英语学习实行量化制度，每日、每周、每月都要给学生检验自己努力成果的机会，让进步的同学体会到成就感，让落后的同学找出差距，感受压力。由此在班里形成浓厚的学习氛围，培养学生健康向上的人格和竞争意识。

5、对后进生进行专门辅导，布置单独的作业，让他们在小进步、小转变中体味学习的快乐，树立学习的自信，尽快成长起来。

6、关注学生的情感，营造宽松、民主、和谐的教学氛围。

7、实施"任务型"的教学途径，培养学生综合语言运用能力。

8、在教学中根据目标并结合教学内容，创造性地设计贴近学生实际的教学活动，吸引和组织他们积极参与。学生通过思考、调查、讨论、交流和合作等方式，学习和使用英语，完成学习任务。

9、加强对学生学习策略的指导，为他们终身学习奠定基础。

10、认真钻研教材，备好，上好每一节课，向45分钟要质量。

总之，新的学期已经开始了，我要以上一学期的基础为起点，树立信心，全身心的投入到新学期的教育教学工作中去。争取在新的一年里，把教育教学工作推向一新的层次。

Nowadays, house husband has become a hot phenomenon in modern society. As

we all know that no matter what country, it’s a tradition that men play a core

role in family who always take the burden to earn money to support their family.

But things are kind of different as society develops, more and more men are

beginning to take over housework while women go out from house. In my point of

view, I think this is not a big deal.

In the first place, house husband may be a shame title for men, but when it

comes to money, there is no room for reputation. As society develops, the life

standard are rising, and everything for living is much expensive than before, if

couples want to guarantee their life quality, then they should let the one who

earn better to work, although the one is female.

In the second place, it’s fine for women to support family as long as they

earn better than men. In the past, women always were treated very badly, and

they got no rights to be educated, to work. In some countries, they can’t even

show their face to others. A traditional female role is to stay at home, taking

care of children and do all of the housework. But now, lots of women have a good

job, so that they totally have the ability to be the economic backbone.

Therefore, in order to take good care of family, men are likely to stay at home

to do housework. I don’t think it’s a shame for men, because no matter what you

do, as long as you do it well, you are successful.

To sum up, people should change their opinion about core role of a family.

It’s acceptable for women to support the family, and there is no shame for men

to do the housework. As long as you remember life quality comes first.

When you come, we can enjoy traditional Chinese food together, and then put up Spring Festival couplets. As a traditional custom, the couplets are always posted on the door of a house. Written on red paper, a couplet is composed of two lines of poetry, which rhyme with each other. Not only do the couplets add some joyous atmosphere to the festival, but also they express people’s wishes for a better life.

"Yeah, right. It isn’t that easy." I protested.

"Yes it is, " Michael said. "Life is all about choices. When you cut away

all the junk, every situation is a choice. You choose how you react to

situations. You choose how people will affect your mood. You choose to be in a

good mood or bad mood. The bottom line is: It’s your choice how you live life. "

I reflected on what Michael said.

Soon thereafter, I left the big enterprise that I had worked in for years

to start my own business. We lost touch, but I often though about him when I

made a choice about life instead of reacting to it. Several years later, I heard

Michael was involved in a serious accident, falling off 60 feet from a

communications tower.

After l8 hours of surgery, and weeks of intensive care, Michael was

released from the hospital with rods placed in his back. I saw Michael about six

months after the accident. When I asked him how he was, he replied, "If I were

any better, I’d be twins. Wanna see my scars?" I declined to see his wounds, but

did ask him what had gone through his mind as the accident took place.

"The first thing that went through my mind was the well being of my

soon-to-born daughter," Michael replied. "Then, as I lay on the ground,

remembered I had two choices: I could choose to live or I could choose to die. I

chose to live." "Weren’t you scared? Did you lose consciousness?" I asked.

Michael continued, "... the paramedics were great. They kept telling me I was

going to be fine. But when they wheeled me into the operation room and I saw the

expressions on the faces of the doctors and nurses, I got really scared. In

their eyes, l read ’He’s a dead man.’ I knew I needed to take action." "What did

you do?" I asked. "Well, there was a big burly nurse shouting questions at me”

said Michael. "She asked me if I was allergic to anything. ‘Yes,’ I said. The

doctors and nurses stopped working as they waited for my reply. I took a deep

breath and yelled", ‘Gravity’” Over their laughter, I told them, ’I’m choosing

to live. Operate on me as if I am alive, not dead’."

Michael lived, thanks to the skill of his doctors, but also because of his

amazing attitude. I Learned from him that every day we have a choice to live

fully. Attitude is everything.

It is said that Chengdu is a city which if you come you cant leave.It has

a long history.there stands Du Fus thatched cottage ,The Temple of Zhugeliang

and some other place of historical interest.They are all so famous that many

foreign tourists like to come here.Chengdu also has a comfortable weather for

people who live in there.Even though in the winter it is still warmer than any

other cities in China.Besides,as Chengdu people are fond of eating,they have

created many delicious food such as hot pan,Three Big guns,and some others.

Depending on personal experience, personality type and emotional concern,

we find that some people hold the idea of living in the country, while others

prefer living in the city. In my opinion, I prefer the city life, though it has

advantages and disadvantages.

First of all, city life is very colorful. City is the center of the

surrounding area. So, it is also the most booming place having the best things.

There are many great things and wonderful activities in the city, while there

isn’t in the country. For example, there are KFC, wonderful shopping mall,

delicious food from various places, dancing club, different kinds of activities

and so on. We can also learn the culture from all the countries. Despite city

life is so wonderful, it still has many disadvantages. Nowadays, with the

improvement of people’s living standard, people have more cars and more people

come to city, and then the city becomes more and more crowd. As a result,

traffic jam emerges, which makes great inconvenience for people to go out.

What’s worse, the air pollution becomes serious day by day, which is bad for

people’s health.

To sum up, every coin has two sides. Living in the city also has good side

and bad aspect. Whether like living in city or not depends on individual

thinking. As myself, I like living in city though I know the disadvantage of

living in city.

Today, my chinese teacher takes my class to visit the museum. We see many weapons that used by the the old warriors1, they protect our country and bring us the new life. there are all kinds of samples that used during the war are presented in front of us. We learn that our new life is not easy to get and we should cherish.

In the last several decades, our earth has been extremely polluted, such as

air pollution, water pollution, noise pollution and so on. In recent years, the

extreme weather becomes more and more frequent. Winter gets colder and summer

becomes hotter and it rains more frequently. All of these warn us that

protecting the environment is a serious and emergent event. As our general

people, we should build proper lifestyle. We should pay attention to water and

light saving. When we go out, we should firstly choose the public

transportation. The most important is that we must realize that we can do a lot

在我8岁的一个寒假中，爸爸带领了我前往了首都北京，参观了军事博物馆。

我们到了军事博物馆，进入大厅，便在无数的武器弹药中形成了凝重的肃杀气氛，但这刚刚凝结成的气氛，就被旁边熙熙攘攘的人群的喧闹声给消失了。那无数的炮弹连成一片，有核弹、闪光弹、鱼雷、加长版AK-47炮弹，也有许多坦克车：K-2、K-18、S-1876a……使人眼花缭乱。

我们先到了地下的鱼雷区，那里的鱼雷有大有小，有笔袋那么大的，有一个屋子那么大的，甚至还有可以“隐形的”超轻鱼雷。里面的鱼雷应有尽有，我在鱼雷区中找到了一个两栖鱼雷，这种鱼雷有强大的适应性，可以装在潜艇上，也可以装在特别制作的坦克上，只需投入发射舱，就可以发射。

然后我们前往了机枪子弹和机枪区，那里的枪都与子弹牢牢地绑在了一块，每一个枪都十分威武，那上面的简介令人惊心动魄，谁都不会想得到这小小的手枪能爆发出了如此之大的威力。

我们不但看了手枪和鱼雷，而且看了新展出的航母。我们知道军事博物馆刚刚展出了与真正航母10：1的袖珍级的航母，但没想到人排得那么长，足足有30多位。终于轮到我们登上航母了，那精致的零件，那细腻的线条，那宏伟的设计，都令人叹为观止。

我们参观完了所有的物品，不禁赞叹：科技宏博发展，人才衡量之己！我们现在就应该好好准备，好好加油，争取努力，拼搏奋斗，争取在“小升初考试”中成为21世纪最好的“初中生”。

参观湖南省博物馆是暑假活动计划好的。所以，那天一早我和妈妈还有外婆便迫不及待地前往。原以为博物馆不会有太多的人，可从容参观。谁曾想，参观者络绎不绝，长长的队伍排出去好远，来观看博物馆>___楚文化展的人可真多啊！

首先我们直接来到了三楼,看到楚文化的展品可多了,那里有称为天下第一剑的“越王勾践自作用剑”，刻制优美的“彩绘凤鸟纹木雕漆座屏”,以及“曾侯乙铜冰鉴”，还有贵重的双耳金杯，可爱的彩绘猪形漆盒······。

给我印象最深的是称为天下第一剑的“越王勾践自作用剑”,它虽然经过了千年，但还是没生一点锈,看上去还非常锋利,讲解员阿姨告诉我们这把剑是由青铜制成的,并且剑上还镶了宝石呢。

还有一件让我觉得挺有意思的文物是“曾侯乙铜冰鉴”,它的用处可大了,它夏天放冰块作冰箱用,冬天是放木炭作烤箱用的,真是神奇,我觉得古人真了不起。.

通过这次参观,让我觉得我们人类是非常聪明的,你看我们现在的科技这么发达了,不都是我们自己人类创造出来的吗？在这么好的环境下我们就应该努力学习,把我们的将来创造得更加美好。
