年饭用金银米为之，上插松柏枝，缀以金钱、枣、栗、龙眼、香枝、破五之后方能撤去。（谓之“年饭”）取松柏枝中较大的，插在瓶中，缀以古钱、元宝、石榴花等就是“摇钱树”。

以彩绳穿线，编作龙形，置于床脚，谓之“压岁钱”。尊长给小孩的，也叫“压岁钱”，钱肆取钱用的“贴”叫“票子”。每届岁除，凡是富贵之家以银换钱的，都用彩笺书写，是为“红票儿”。取华美吉祥之意。
