The world is not only hungry,but also thirsty for water. This may seem strange to you, since nearly 75 % of the earths surface is covered with water. But about 97% of this huge amount is sea water, or salt water. Man can only drink and use the other 3% -- the fresh water that comes from rivers, lakes,underground, and other sources. And we cannot even use all of that, because some of it is in the form of icebergs and glaciers. Even worse, some of it has been polluted.

However, as things stand today, this small amount of fresh water, which is constantly being replaced by rainfall, is still enough for us. But our need for water is increasing rapidly-- almost day by day. Only if we take steps to deal with this problem now can we avoid a severe worldwide water shortage later on. Did you know that to produce a single ton of steel, it takes about 91, 000 liters of water?

We all have to learn how to stop wasting our precious water. One of the first steps we should take is to develop ways of reusing it. Experiments have already been done in this field, but only on a small scale. For us, the systems are as important as the spacecraft.

在我们世界里几乎每家每户都有一个机器人，早上起来，洗脸刷牙全是机器人为你服务。衣服穿的都是防辐射，轻便好看，冬天穿着暖和夏天穿着舒适凉爽。吃饭的时后只要你说出菜的名字机器人它就会给你做出来。在说说住的地方吧，那里面应有尽有想要什么就有什么。在你睡觉的时候，床边有一个“睡觉”两个字。只要你按一下这个房间就会自动进入睡眠模式，它会把走廊的灯和电视电脑什么东西都关掉。而门口的防盗模式启动了摄像头它们开始工作了，只要小偷一进来就会有一个安全警报，当你出门的时候你会看见车上居然没驾驶员，因为现在科技发达了。车里有一种功能是无人驾驶。这种车而且是环保型的，这种车不需要用汽油，使用太阳能充电，非常环保。现在每家每户都有一加可以翱翔天空的飞机。现在每一个大人会开飞机，每架飞机都有一个机器人，如果你不想开你可以让你的机器人，这样你就可以舒舒服服的休息了，你一觉醒来你便不知不觉的来到了目的地。这样就解决交通拥挤的问题了，在天上也会有一条道路。现在人行道上你不用走路应为人行道上向电梯一样自动走很方便。
