There is a bus from the airport to the city. It is much cheaper than a cab. Take the bus to the city and ask to get off at Town Hall railway station.

To get to my place in the eastern suburbs you have three options. You can either take a cab, a bus or the train. I suggest you take the train, since the airport bus will leave you right at the station. Get off at Cliff Station. From there you can either walk to my place (about ten minutes) or take a taxi. Probably you should take a taxi as you will have luggage.

When you arrive at my flat, ring the intercom for Flat 2. My friend Lillian will be at home and she will open the front door for you and let you into my flat.

Presumably you will be tired and want to sleep. But if you feel like some exercise after that long flight, you could stroll down to Cooper Park, which is only ten minutes away ? you can see it from the window.

今天，我要和钢琴学校的同学们一起去参加一个钢琴比赛。早上六点种，太阳还没有起床呢，同学们就陆陆续续来到了学校，化妆，开手练习，大家既紧张又兴奋。

看了晚会上曝光的那么多坑人的、可怕的事，想想现在的人到底为了什么？

有两则关于同一条英语谚语Blood is thicker than water的译例。其一是“清水不浓血却浓”，其二是“血浓于水”。从字面上看，上述两则译例译得固然不错，似无可厚非。译文读起来很顺，又比较易懂，但读后似有不知所云之感。

这是因为译文的形象没能准确地传达出这条谚语的喻义来。

Longman Dictionary of English Idioms（p.28）上对这条谚语的解释是“The relationship between people of the same family is stronger than other，relationships”因此，这则谚语似可以借用汉语中一句俗语“亲不亲一家人”来译更能表达出“属于同一血缘关系的一家人比别人更亲近一些”的寓意。

语言是文化的表现形式。谚语同文学作品、诗歌一样是语言的精华。英语谚语是富于色彩的语言形式，一般具有生动形象、喻义明显、富于哲理的语言特征。在一定程度上，英语谚语反映了英语民族的文化特点。因此，翻译英语谚语时，仅仅以语言之间词汇的同义性（等价性）为前提，寻求对等的表现是不够的。译者须较多运用汉语的表现手段，力求能再现英语谚语的语言风格和丰富内涵。只有多注意英语谚语字面以外所特有的语言内涵色彩，才能使译文讽喻得当，宜于说理，又不失原来谚语所具有的语言形象。

某些英语谚语和汉语成语、俗语在表现形式和含义方面是一致的或基本一致的。汉译这些英语时，可惜用与其喻义相同或相近的成语或谚语及俗语直接对译。这样不但可以比较好地保持原文的神韵和形式，又使译文易于为读者或听者接受。如：

Pride comes before a fall．骄兵必败。

Amiss is as good as a mile.差之毫厘，失之千里。

Two is company，but three is none.两个和尚抬水吃，三个和尚无水吃。

Walls have ear.隔墙有耳。

Enough is as good as a feast．知足常乐。

有些英语谚语虽然在语言习惯和文化背景方面和其相对的汉语谚语之间存在着某些差异，而且所比喻的事物并不一样，但他们的喻义却相互吻合，而且表达方式也很相似，汉译这些英语谚语时，常常需要“易其形式，存其精神”，即采用形象近似的汉语成语意译。这样可使译文既喻义明显，又含而不露，且可再现原文所具有的语言效果，容易达意。如：

Two can play the game.孤掌难鸣。

Newbroom sweeps clean.新官上任三把火。

Speak of the devil，and he appears.说曹操，曹操到。

The grass is greener on the other side of the hill．这山望着那山高。

Putting the cart before the horse.本末倒置。

有些英语谚语意在言外，语言含蓄，寓意深刻。如果仅从字面意义直译成汉语，而不领会原文的具体含义及其效果，译文势必平淡无味。这样既不能表达意思，又有损于原文的语言形象和丰富内涵。因此，在翻译时，应在汉语中寻找那些与原文喻义相同或效果相似的成语、谚语或俗语来表达，则会使译文形象生动，准确达意。试比较下列各译例。

People who live in glass houses should not throw stones.如译成“住在玻璃房子里的人，不应扔石头”不如译成“己有过，勿正人”或“责人必先责己”。

In fair weather prepare for the foul．如译成“晴天要防阴天”，不如译成“有备无患”或“居安思危”或“未雨绸缪”。

Murder will out．如译成“谋杀终必败露”，不如译成“纸包不住火”。

Fools rush in where angels fear to tread．如译成“愚者敢闯天使不敢去的地方”，不如译成“初生牛犊不怕虎”。

One cannot make an omelette without breaking eggs.如译成“想吃煎蛋卷，就得打鸡蛋”，不如译成工“有得必有失”或甚至可以引申为“不破不立”。

如果所要翻译的谚语喻义清新，形象逼真，按其字面直译其意，就能表达出原文的喻义来，则可直译。这样做既能较完整地保存原文的表达方式，且又可丰富我们自己的语言文化，一举两得，请看下面的译例。

God helps those who help themselves.上帝帮助那些自己帮助自己的人。或“自助者天助之”。

Money is the root of all evil．金钱是万恶之源。

An empty sack cannot stand upright．空袋立不直。

Do as you would be done by. 以你所期望的别人待你的方式待人。

这与另一谚语： Don’t do unto others what you don’t want others do unto you.“己所不欲勿施于人”很相似。

Money talks.钱能通神。

有些英语谚语常常采用对称的修辞手段。使用这一修辞手段的目的在于加强语势，宜于说理，读后有心悦诚眼之感。汉译这些谚语时，应适当注意保持其修辞色彩，以便体现原文的表达方式。如：

You may take a horse to the water， but you can’t make it drink．

如果按字面译成，“你可以把马牵到河边去，但不能叫它饮水”至少是没有充分体现这句谚语本身所具有的强烈对比色彩。从语法分析的观点看，在这个句子里，情态动词may和can虽然都表示“可能”的，但在含义上有所不同。这里may表示“事实上的可能性”，而can则表示“逻辑上的可能性”。并列连词but使前后两个分句意义相反，对比色彩强烈。在这种情况下，译文也必须力求对偶整齐，前后呼应，形成对照。如将此句译作“牵马河边易，逼它饮水难”或“老牛不喝水，不能强按头”会更好些。

总之，即使像谚语这样孤立的语句，翻译时也需尽一番揣摩切磋之功，否则译文就可能与原文“貌合神离”，文不达意。译事艰辛也许正在于此。

我读了《史记》，深深地爱上了这本书，书中许多历史故事给了我启迪，历史人物给我教育。

其中关于项羽的故事，我印象很深。“生当作人杰，死亦为鬼雄。至今思项羽，不肯过江东。”李清照的这首诗赞扬了项羽宁死不苟活的精神。但是，当我读过《史记》中关于项羽的内容后，我对项羽有了自己的看法。项羽是一个英雄。他是一个武艺高强的人，可以冲锋陷阵，转瞬间就能杀敌百人，他用兵大胆，敢于“破釜沉舟”，置之死地而后生。

我佩服他的胆略和勇猛。观看秦始皇出行时，他竟敢说自己可以取而代之。千古英雄，谁敢如他一般出此豪言?从这点看，项羽的确是英雄。但项羽更是一位失败的英雄。首先，我认为他不注重文化学习，只崇尚武力。他甚至认为读书无用，只要会写自己的名字就已经足够了。可他没想到，不学习，有些方面就会无知，无论带兵打仗，还是治理国家，无知都会成为绊脚石。

其次，我觉得他不善于用人，不能把握好时机，无知使他不知人，更不善用人。张良、韩信都曾经投奔于他，可他竟不能知人善任，使这两个不可多得的人才为刘邦所用，最后把自己打得一败涂地，总算有个谋士范增的才智也给浪费了。

要么不执行范增的计划，“项庄舞剑，意在沛公”绝好的机会呀，可项羽偏偏痛失良机，要么中人家的计策，不能做到用人不疑，疑人不用，致使范增离开他，在忧愤和疾病中去世，使自己彻底失去谋士。项羽还是一位不善于总结自己失败的英雄。项羽在临死前曾说：“天要亡我。”而不从自身找原因。

项羽英雄盖世，却只会逞匹夫之勇，不能驾驭天下英雄，到死都认识不到自身的弱点，只是自欺欺人地把失败的原因归之于天，真是可悲呀!其实，一个成功的历史人物要想取得成功，《史记》已告诉我们：他必须爱人民，以天下为已任，心中装着国家和人民，才能深受人民的爱戴。只有这样，他才有可能成功。

I have never been to Shenzhen before. Many times, I dream of visiting Shenzhen because Shenzhen is a very modern,busy and beautiful city. and today, my dream has come true.

I am walking around the city center of Shenzhen and there are so many tall buildings on the sides of the streets. the streets are very big,straight and clean.I can see the buses,taxis,trains and cars on the road. people can choose their favourite way to go to work or travel. because there are a lot of department stores and supermarkets in Shenzhen,people can go shopping any where they wanted.

At night,Shenzhen becomes even more beatiful and colourful with all kinds of light. by walking on the street, you cant really tell where it is. it may be HongKong,Shanghai.

春节一个特殊的字眼，她似乎本就应该与回家团圆等联系在一起。然而在今年当人们正如往常一样订票回家、采购年货时，武汉传来噩耗：突如其来的新型冠状病毒已经开始蔓延。但我们相信在这危急关头，在中国共产党的正确领导下，我们齐心协力，一定能够打好疫情阻击战!

与这些人相反，武汉疫情牵动着全国人民的心。从中央接到通知起，多地已启动重大突发公共卫生事件一级响应，各方也积极部署。84岁钟南山院士是那个冲在最前面的人，17年后重回战场，困难面前，他临危受命，挑起重担。各地医生、护士等纷纷支援武汉，奔赴战场。其中年仅20岁的女护士陈琳琳，更是主动请战，驰援武汉。而武汉也立即封城，防止病毒进一步扩散。在多方力量帮助下，火神山医院迅速拔地而起，有5G护航，无接触保证传染者减少。“菜篮子”提供蔬菜，保障武汉市民生活供应。更有明星和人民捐款捐物，支援武汉。并且最近有消息表明，对药物的研制已经有些成果，相信不久这场战争将落下帷幕。

为更快打赢这场战争，在此我提出以下建议和希望：

一、不信谣不传谣。随着疫情发展，网络上谣言四起，为防止引起恐慌，我们要正确辨别网络信息，不随意传播谣言。

二、勤洗手多通风。我们无法加入武汉战斗中去，但可以勤洗手多通风，以保证自身不被传染，不给医护人员添乱。

I have rested for a week. I began to feel bored. So I went out with my

Whats your room like? Can you tell me, please?

When winter comes, especially the cold wind blows, I dont want to go out

of the house. Though the outdoor activity is limited, I still can find a lot of

things to do. The happiest thing for me is to eat hot pot with my families, at

the same time, we watch TV show. Doing these two things together can help us

better communicate and enjoy the family hour. The second thing I want to do is

to stay in bed and play computer. The warmness makes me feel so comfortable. I

will bring some snacks and then enjoy watching movies. Staying indoors also can

make me happy.

My favourite writer—Lu Xun 我最喜欢的作者－鲁迅

Lu Xun is my favourite writer. He is one of the most famous writers in China. He wrote a lot of literary works.

He was thin and not tall. He always wore a long old coat in that time. At first, he wanted to be a doctor and save people s lives. So he learned medicine, but later he found the Chinese were in sensitive when they faced the oppression of their enemies. So he began to write articles to wake the people up.

Lu Xun wrote some famous novels, he attacked the social mores in that time, and in his works, many persons were known very well, such as Ah Q Kong Yi ji .

I like Lu Xun because I also want to be a great writer like him. I like reading and writing, and I often write some articles in my free time. Though I don t have good literary talent or a large vocabulary, I spend lots of time reading and writing to improve my writing skills.

Lu Xun is my hero, I will learn more from him. I believe I can be a great writer like him in the future.

他很瘦，个子不高。他总是穿着旧衣服。首先，他想成为一名医生，挽救人们的生命。所以他学医，但后来他发现中国人愚昧时，他们所面对的敌人在压迫着他们时。他开始写文章来唤醒人民。

鲁迅写了一些著名的长篇小说，他抨击当时的社会习俗，在他的作品中，许多人熟知，如阿Q孔乙己。

我喜欢鲁迅，因为我也想成为一个像他这样伟大的作家。我喜欢阅读和写作，我常常在我的空闲时间里写一些文章。虽然我没有好的文学天才或大量的词汇，所以我花时间阅读和写作，来提高我的写作技能很多。

鲁迅是我的英雄，我会从他身上学到更多。我相信我能成为一个伟大的作家，未来就像他一样。

今天下午，妈妈带我去会展中心观看蝴蝶标本展览。

我们来到标本展区，里面有好多蝴蝶标本，我还看到了大型蜘蛛和蝎子标本。

蝴蝶标本可真多，非常漂亮。我最喜欢的是大蓝闪蝶，它源于亚马逊，身子和翅膀都是宝蓝色的，翅膀闪闪发光，很耀眼，很好看。还有一种叫猫头鹰蝶，源于巴西，样子跟猫头鹰非常像，翅膀上有一双跟猫头鹰一样的眼睛，还有一种叫光明女神蝶，它是浅蓝色的身子和翅膀，翅膀上好像有好多银粉一样的东西，一条一条米黄色花纹也非常漂亮。

黑色的蜘蛛看起来很恐怖，我和妈妈都有些怕，所以没有仔细观看。我们看了蝎子的标本，我和妈妈一起读了关于蝎子的介绍，蝎子不仅是很好的药材还能作为美味的菜肴，如果做成美味的菜，我也不敢吃它。

参观结束后，妈妈送给我一个蝴蝶标本，标本的图片和蝴蝶是我自己挑选，非常漂亮，今天的收获可真大，既学到了知识，又收到了礼物，真开心呀！

I think its very important and necessary for kids to do some housework at home.

Firstly it is because they just spend too much time doing homework without having any rest. Doing housework not only help them rest but also do some body exercise. Secondly, kids should learn how hard-working their parents are and thus learn to be grateful.

For me, I can do lots of housework. For example, I can do the dishe, I can cook, I can sweep the floor, and I can also water the flowers. Whats more, I can set the table and so on.
