In this way, he elaborately depicted every scene and character in the book, Apart from the special start, the ending of the whole story, being dramatic but reasonable, is certainly an outstanding one. After all, except the author himself, who knows that the Duke’s seemingly ordinary secretary is in fact the Duke’s bastard? In the next two days, the occupants wait with barely concealed impatience and eventually Suet Ball tells that they will be detained perpetually unless she approves of sleeping with the officer. Out of her patriotism, Suet Ball gives him a point-blank refusal. As it should be, those travelers behave furiously to the officer"s arrogance while during the next two days, they exemplify logic and morality in diverse ways to convince Suet Ball of its validity. What a kind-hearted girl! Finally Suet Ball gives up and sacrifices her body for everyone’s freedom.

The next morning, they are permitted to leave. But those "representatives of Virtue" totally neglect Suet Ball, casting scathing sights on the poor young woman while even disdaining talking to her and rejecting sharing their food with her in the same way that she did at the beginning. From their perspectives, Suet Ball turns out to be no more utilizable and should be condemned for her ashamed conduct. As the stagecoach travels deeper into the night, she seethes with rage against those hypocrites, and ultimately weeps for her lost dignity.

In this story, Maupassant highlighted the intense comparison between Suet Ball and the so-called nobles. Rapacity, hypocrisy, sexuality and nobility intertwine in the spotlight，eulogizing the underclass’ patriotism and lampooning the sham of the aristocracy. Maupassant portrays the inhabitants of the stagecoach in varied disparaging ways. The most luminous character belongs to the two nuns. They fill Suet Ball"s head with arguments, arguing that it is not morally wrong to sleep with the officer in order to let the travelers leave, and that the longer she waits, the more young French soldiers will die as the nuns are not there to look after them. Superficially, they claim that it is for the good of the country but indeed they’re just taking advantage of her. Suet Ball"s resistance to the officer"s sexual advances again indicate her patriotism. Cruel wars have stripped all the external stuffs. In contrast to all of these is Suet Ball, a prostitute, revealed to be the most fiercely patriotic, virtuous, and morally admirable character, which Maupassant contrasts with the hypocrisy and snobbery of the others.

It is arguably Maupassant’s most famous short story. The carriage constitutes a microcosm of French society as a whole. And the narrative techniques of this story are rather sophisticated and carefully conceived. On balance, a real noble person like Suet Ball can’t be judged by the appearance or the occupation, his/ her moral quality will glitter when confronting the real ordeal. 端午节是我们中国十分隆重的节日，它是为了纪念战国时期伟大的爱国诗人屈原，现在的中国人还在延续这一习俗，甚至还有一天的法定节日。

Dragon Boat Festival is a very grand festival in China. It is to

commemorate Qu Yuan, a great patriotic poet in the Warring States period. Now

Chinese people still continue this custom, even a legal festival.

农历五月初五就是端午节了，家家户户都要包粽子，还有有趣的划龙舟比赛呢!奶奶在家已经煮好了香喷喷的粽子，打开锅盖满屋都飘着粽子的清香，让我闻得口水直流个不停。我迫不及待地剥开粽子叶津津有味的吃了起来，真是回味无穷呀!

The Dragon Boat Festival is on the fifth day of may in the lunar calendar.

Every family needs to make zongzi. There are also interesting dragon boat races!

Grandma has cooked delicious zongzi at home. When she opened the pot cover, the

fragrance of zongzi was floating all over the house, making my mouth water

continuously. I cant wait to peel off the zongzi leaf and eat it with relish.

Its really memorable!

吃完粽子后，爸爸带我去看划龙舟比赛，这里人山人海，车水马龙的可热闹了!比赛开始了，各个队伍都蓄势待发，随着一阵枪声一条条龙舟飞快地划过水面，犹如一支支箭向前飞去。在场的观众们兴奋喊道着加油加油，在为参赛者加油鼓励，参赛者们听了心里充满了信心使劲地划桨，水花到处飞溅。各条龙舟你追我赶的，最后，落后的一号终于追上了遥遥领先的二号第一个冲过了终点，观众们不禁欢呼起来，到处都是一片欢乐的海洋。啊!这真是我最难忘的一天了。

After eating zongzi, my father took me to watch the dragon boat race. There

are lots of people here, and the traffic is very busy! The race started, and

every team is ready to go. With a burst of gunfire, each dragon boat flies

across the water like an arrow. The audience cheered and shouted, cheering and

encouraging for the contestants. The contestants listened with confidence and

strove hard to paddle, and the water splashed everywhere. Each dragon boat

chased after each other. At last, the laggard No. 1 finally caught up with the

far ahead No. 2. The audience couldnt help cheering. There was a sea of joy

everywhere. Ah! This is the most unforgettable day for me.

或许是我跟不上时代的潮流，我不想去读那本名声大噪的《小时代》，对那本传闻中非读不可的《杜拉拉升职记》也没有兴趣，我只是固执地迷恋着那本早已烂熟于心的《鲁滨逊漂流记》，那本一问世就风靡全球而且历久不衰、雅俗共赏的好作品。

因为——

很少有一本书，能让有些喜新厌旧的我读了好多遍。

很少有一本书，能让我每一次的阅读都有新的感悟。

只有这一本书，能让我读完后懂得要感恩、要珍惜。

《鲁滨逊漂流记》。这，应该是我最熟悉的书名了吧，这本书已不记得读了多少遍，但闲暇时最爱翻的还是它。

依稀记得我很小的时候，妈妈带着才刚刚学完拼音、仅仅认识一点点汉字的我去买书，她让我自己挑选。那时年幼的我尚不知读书的乐处，书店里琳琅满目的书籍都勾不起我的兴趣。于是小手伸进书架里，随便拿了一本，一本甚至连名字都不认识的书。妈妈告诉我这是插图注音版的《鲁滨逊漂流记》。我翻开，看到这充斥着海洋画面的书本，甚是喜欢。当时读起书来，我常常是要一个句子读上好几遍才明白意思。就这样我用了好久才断断续续地读完了这本小说。看完后，我跟妈妈埋怨：书里的鲁叔叔好可怜哦，他到了什么都没有的荒岛上，要是我，肯定难受死了，真是太惨了。妈妈笑笑，微微地摇头，跟我说，到了荒岛上，终究是有一点好处的，他学会了感恩和珍惜了，不是吗?

渐渐的，长大的我再读《鲁滨逊漂流记》时，开始理解妈妈的话了。如果，不是到了那个荒岛上，那么，鲁宾逊该怎么样活着呢?或许还活在富裕的家里，过着衣来伸手饭来张口的荒芜日子吧!根本就不会懂得珍惜自己所拥有的东西，那些他以前根本就不会放在心里的东西，一件破衣裳，一点粮食，一群家禽……

可是这一切理所应当存在的“或许”，都因为鲁滨逊的执着而变的那么浅薄。有很多人觉得他漂流到荒岛上是一种磨难，但是我不这么想，或许，这是上帝给他的机会，肉体和灵魂一起重生的机会……

对于一个航海家来说，每一次的航行都有可能是生命的最后时刻。我不知道也没办法想象每次行程开始的时候鲁滨逊都在想些什么，他，或许是在想念每一个亲朋，或许是在回忆人生的过往，亦或是在设想可能遇到的危险。但是我明白，面对这片承载着他蓝色梦想的汪a 洋，他有恐惧敬畏，但更多的是一种向往和憧憬。他是那么的执着于梦想，甚至他被困在荒岛上的28年，他也不后悔自己的选择。而在这28年里，他变了，变得成熟了，变得懂得感恩，明白要珍惜。

读了一遍又一遍的《鲁滨逊漂流记》，我也开始学着书中的人物，珍惜身边的东西，并且感恩我所拥有的。老妈偶尔会夸我长大了，比以前懂事多了，也不怎么顶嘴了。每次，我都调皮地说：这可都是跟一位鲁先生学的啊。我可不想哪一天自己流落荒岛的时候再后悔以前对自己身边的亲人不够好。

或许，鲁宾逊那如此幸运的奇遇永远也不会发生在我的身上，但是，看过这本书，我已经学到了，要感恩，现在拥有的对自己来说就是最值得珍惜的。

Summertime is the best time of the year. There is no school for months and

I get to do what I want. With no tests and no homework, Im as free as a

bird.

I do many things during the summer vacation. I relax by reading books and

watching TV. I also hang out with my friends or travel with my family. However,

I dont only play in summer. I take advantage of the free time to learn more.

For example, last summer I learned to swim. This summer I might study computers

or English. Summer vacation flies by fast, so its important to do as much as

you can.

暑假期间，我可以做很多事。我通过阅读与看电视放松自己。我也常常与朋友一起打发时间或者与家人一起去旅游。可是，暑假期间，我并不只是游玩。我充分利用闲暇时间去学习更多的(知识)。举例来说，去年暑假，我就学习游泳。这个暑假，我可能会学习计算机或英语(知识)。暑期过得很快，所以，对于你而言，应该尽可能做更多的事。

《鲁宾逊漂流记》是“欧洲小说之父”笛福在晚年时所创作的一部小说，在这部小说里，鲁滨逊是一个新兴资产阶级的代表人物，一个理想化的英雄，作者不仅赋予鲁滨逊种种优秀品质：勇敢、智慧坚强和热爱劳动，并使他具有一个“理想的”资产者的所应有的实干精神。作者把这些虚构的情景写得使人身临其境，我深陷其中，不能自拔。

主人公鲁滨逊怀着云游四海的高远志向，历险无数，后来在太平洋上不幸遇难，孤身来到了一座荒无人烟的岛上，靠着顽强的毅力和超人的智慧在岛上生存了下来。他在孤岛上劳作生息，积极乐观的生活下来，在孤岛上生存了几十年，他在这绝望的缝隙中得到了生命的启示。

拜读这部小说后，我不仅被作者独特的手法和丰富的想象力所吸引，更为鲁滨逊在经历坎坷时表现而钦佩至极，如果没有实干精神和坚强性格，他在岛上的日子是无法度过的。

“读一本好书，就是在和一位高尚的人谈话”，现在我坚定地相信这句话。这些文字，在我遇到困难和挫折时，都鼓舞着我奋发向前，让我摆脱了以前遇到困难就退缩的坏习惯，与此同时，我也会学习鲁滨逊那样勇敢、自立、不甘平庸，永不满足的精神。

不管在什么样的逆境、风浪里，我都不会轻易地向困难低头，要坚强地面对生活、学习中的各种挑战，面对挫折与挑战不要轻言放弃，摔倒了，爬起来；受伤了，不流泪。在以后的生活中要扬起生活的风帆，勇于拼搏，书写成功的人生！
