我们参观的第一个景点是环球影城，环球影城座落在洛杉矶的好莱坞，其代表建筑是门前银白色的地球。走进影城，我们游览的第一个项目是“未来水世界”，讲述的是一群水手运用智慧战胜海盗取得胜利的故事，场面十分壮观，据说，单是这一个摄影棚，就拍出了一部旷世之作，不能不感叹当今科技的发达啊!接着，我们乘坐游览车来到了由数百个摄影棚连成的城镇区。立刻让我感到耳目一新，高楼大厦，鳞次栉比，排列着各种风格的建筑物，建筑界的瑰宝济济一堂，仿佛是一座浓缩的世界，使人心旷神怡。游览结束后，我回过头想跟它说再见时，却惊讶地呆住了，在每个建筑物后，是一个个冰冷的铁架，而那些所谓的建筑物，都只是一层布，真是逼真至极，足以以假乱真了。

在惊讶之余，我们进了一个山洞，不时传来恐龙的嚎叫声，看见人类的头骨，整个山洞弥漫着恐怖的气息。突然，石壁上出现了许多恐龙，他们悠闲自在地生活着，场面温馨，可好景不长，霸王龙来了，安逸的生活别打破了，在霸王龙的撕扯下，游览车剧烈地摇晃起来，好像散架似得。最后，游览车拖着“残肢”冲出了山洞。

迪士尼乐园是我从小向往的地方。踏进大门，映入眼帘的是卡通人物，聪明的米奇，漂亮的米尼，憨厚的高飞，可爱的唐纳德，忠诚的布鲁托……。

一座高高的假山，里面是水的世界，这就是激流勇进了，我们搭上一条船，渐渐朝山顶驶去，山洞里是无边的黑暗，只有“嗒嗒”的闹钟声才知道时间在流逝。突然，措不及防地“轰”一下，船猛然俯冲了下去，淹没在水流中的尖叫声随着船一起冲下了假山……。

此外，雪山车也是十分刺激的，一条长长的隧道里有漫天的繁星，看起来像美丽的宇宙，我们坐在车中观赏美景，正当我陶醉在如花的宇宙中时，车子像离弦的箭一般冲了出去。此时，隧道不再是美丽的宇宙，而成了一个令人毛骨悚然的黑洞，车依旧飞奔着，但轨道却翻转了九十度，渐渐向下俯冲，直到前方出现了一丝亮光，“咚”地一声，我们被重重地抛出了隧道。

游完迪士尼我们来到了丹麦城，这里是当初殖民统治时期，丹麦人的领地，因时代保留了丹麦的生活方式和建筑风格而得名。这里高大的风车随处可见，使我不禁浮想联翩，广褒的草原上有白色的野花点缀，不时传来牧人的号角，牛羊在静静地吃草，“吱呀”转的风车旁，河水潺潺地流着……。丹麦城一行使我看到与美式不同的欧式建筑风格，我不禁感慨美国果然是一个多文化、多种族的国家啊!

This past Independence Day, I saw two things that disturbed me greatly: First, people bashing America and its shortcomings; Second, people defending America blindly, while giving no thought to others’ criticisms. I also recognize that although the sins of our Founding Fathers were great, their accomplishments were greater, leaving a legacy of democracy and national sovereignty that would spread like wildfire throughout the world. The revolution was important and the ideals that this country was founded on, ideals of equality, respect for one another, and a commitment to progress, are ideals to be proud of, even if we don’t always live up to those ideals. I know many liberals hate to hear it, but the majority of the world is worse off than us, from third world countries to dictatorships, the world has got a lot of bad in it. And the much longer, more troubled histories of nations such as England have more mistakes and terrible acts in them than ours do. America has ideals and a commitment to democracy and freedom you can find nowhere else. Our spirit is strong and even if our government doesn’t live up to that spirit all the time, our citizens strive for it. Independence Day isn’t about petty squabbles and historical smear campaigns. In recent years, tourism has been popular and played an important role in our nation’s economic growth. However, I am afraid that if tourism develops over, it will bring harm to the environment and give rise to many problems.

There are a few reasons accounting for my views and I would like to list three of them. Independence Day is a day of family celebrations with picnics and barbecues,showing a great deal of emphasis on the American tradition of political freedom.Activities associated with the day include watermelon or hotdog eating competitions and sporting events,such as baseball games,three-legged races,swimming activities and tug-of-war games.

Many people display the American flag outside their homes or buildings.Many communities arrange fireworks that are often accompanied by patriotic music.The most impressive fireworks are shown on television.Some employees use one or more of their vacation days to create a long weekend so that they can escape the heat at their favorite beach or vacation spot.

Independence Day is a patriotic holiday for celebrating the positive aspects of the United States.Many politicians appear at public events to show their support for the history,heritage and people of their country.Above all,people in the United States express and give thanks for the freedom and liberties fought by the first generation of many of todays Americans.The Statue of Liberty is a national monument that is associated with Independence Day.

The first description of how Independence Day would be celebrated was in a letter from John Adams to his wife Abigail on July 3,1776.He described "pomp and parade,with shows,games,sports,guns,bells,bonfires,and illuminations" throughout the United States.However,the term "Independence Day" was not used until 1791.

“I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America,and to the Republic for which it stands.One nation under God,indivisible,with liberty and justice for all.”

今天，是暑假第一天，我和妈妈要去美国旅游了，好期待啊!

先去香港国际机场，一个叔叔把我们送到了那里，没怎么堵车都要了2个小时呢。

到了飞机场，我和妈妈在洗手间外面，我忽然看见了一个人跪着，手放在胸前的牌子。我很好奇，就拉着妈妈的手去看。哦!是祈祷室!原来有些国家的人每天都要祈祷，他们就可以来这个房间。

我们先值了机，然后吃饭。在麦当劳吃的，吃了汉堡和可乐，好好吃呀!

去纽约的飞机3点55分开始检票，可是现在才1点多呀，干什么呢?我玩IPAD2，妈妈在网上工作。

不知不觉，2个小时一下子就过去了，飞机开始检票了!真是快!

飞机很快就起飞了，我和妈妈躺着睡觉，但睡不着。

我不时打开窗户看。有一次，我看见窗户上有许多针叶一样的小东西，仔细一看：呀!原来是结了冰花呀!好漂亮!外面真是veryvery的冷!

早上7点多，也就是美国的晚上6点多，飞机快到了。

最后我再看时，竟然已经飞到了纽约后面的海上，难道飞过了?果然，飞机开始掉头，真有趣!后来我才知道是交通管制。

7点多，飞机到达了目的地——纽约。

下了飞机，我们就开始找一个已经在网上预定好了的酒店。

先是在门口问了两个人，他们告诉我们：先乘机场快线到一个站，然后再转7号线到Quneensboraplaza站就到了。果真，我们到了酒店。好不容易有时间看表了，一看：呀!10点半了!赶快睡觉吧!

今天就这样结束了，看我们能不能把时差倒过来!

北京三日游 A Three-day Tour to Beijing

Last month I went to Beijing to visit one of my friends, because we haven’t seen each other for about two years and I got a holiday meanwhile. It is my first time to visit Beijing, which is always the dream city for all the Chinese. All the information about the city came from the books and TV, now I could see and get know of it by myself, how excited I am!

上个月我去北京看望我的一个朋友，因为我们有将近两年没见，而我刚好有假期。这是我第一次游览北京，这座全中国人都向往的城市。我对北京的所以认知都来自电视和书本，而现在我有机会亲自来看这个城市、来了解她。我多么地兴奋！

There were so many tourist areas in my plan list, like Tian’anmen Square, Forbidden City, the Great Wall, the Perking University and so on. However, due to my short holiday I only visit several places of my list, with my friend’s companion. I will take a long tour to Beijing next time if I have the chance.在我的旅游计划表上，我罗列许多要去的地方，如天安门广场，紫禁城，长城，北京大学等等。然而由于假期太短，朋友只陪我参观了计划表上的几个地方而已。如果有机会，我下次一定会到这来个长期旅游。

A Trip to Beijing

My American friend Tom and I went to Beijing by plane last summer.

On the first day，we visited the Palace Museum and Tiananmen Square. The next day，we climbed the Great Wall. We took lots of photos. Although we felt tired，it was a fantastic experience. The third day we relaxed. Then we had the Beijing roast duck for lunch. I think it is the most delicious food in the world. Tom is interested in Chinese culture，so we drank tea and saw Beijing Opera in Lao She Teahouse in the evening. Finally，we did some shopping and flew back to Guilin.

The trip to Beijing was short，but it was wonderful. Tom said that he would never forget it.
