一、给写作留有充分的时间

1944年10月的一个凌晨，强台风来袭，为抢回即将被风浪卷走的补给小船，叶阿岳冲进狂风暴雨，再没有回来。1971年春节前夕，叶中央的妻子带着两个年幼的女儿来三星塔团聚过年，途中她们乘坐的船被风浪掀翻，妻子和5岁的小女儿遇难。妻女离世后，本可以调离守塔一线的叶中央只向组织提出“给我换一座塔吧”，这一回，他去了爷爷曾经守过的白节岛。1984年，宁波航标处招灯塔工，叶中央为儿子叶静虎报了名。2014年，叶静虎的儿子叶超群也紧随父辈步伐，登上了位于宁波镇海的七里屿灯塔当了一名灯塔工。

在茫茫大海里，灯塔就是希望，就是家的方向，叶中央说：“人在灯亮。灯塔是大海的眼睛，只有一直亮着，航行在茫茫大海上的船只才会安全。” 一直以来，以叶家五代人为代表的灯塔工们与大海相伴，扎根孤岛，默默地值守，无私地奉献，指引万千艘船舶航行，守护一方水域平安。
