或许只是一瞬间，我突然发觉，外婆真的老了——头发不再乌黑，背也不再挺直。她开始频频忘事，有时妈妈向她询问一些往事，她都记得不大清楚，甚至是完全忘却了。

那是一个很平常的傍晚，外婆正在炒菜，而我则坐在客厅里玩手机游戏。那是我玩的第几盘游戏了?我已经不记得了。外婆几次制止我，我都当作耳旁风。她见我不听她的，索性不再讲，做饭去了。

外婆，真的是老了啊。她已不像从前一样健康了，有时，她会肚子疼，虽然她一直说没事，却难受得在床上躺了一天。她的确很唠叨，但她是为了我好啊，我怎么能这样对她?

首先，我认为，学习中不可忽略的一点就是要学会分析自己的学习特点，像我——理解能力还可以，老师讲的东西不是不懂，但却总出错(用家长们的话说就是不认真)，而且对于一些死记硬背才能学会的东西总觉得不耐烦，因此，在这点上，我希望自己能在新学期里对待学习更认真，更有耐心。

其次，我觉得，在学习中，确定学习目标也是很重要的，学习目标是学生学习努力的方向，正确的学习目标更是能催人奋进。反之，没有目标的学习，就是对时光一种极大的浪费。所以，我暂时的目标就是先进入全班前10名，而对于我较弱的数学我会努力，让它也有所进步。

最后，也是最关键的一点，就是要科学安排时间，没有合理的安排，再好的计划也会付之东流。所以，在新学期里，我最要学会的就是要合理安排学习、娱乐、休息的时间，要把每一点一滴宝贵的时间都抓紧。

计划写完了，我想，按照惯例，似乎还应该加上几句鼓励的话，但我觉得，有一句话会胜过许许多多鼓励的语言，那么，我就以它作为我学习计划的结尾吧，那就是——定了计划，就一定要实行。

Prepare for the Final Exam

The final exam is around the corner. All students are working hard to prepare for it. So am I. Doing well in final exam is important, because it reflects how much I learn in school. It’s a good way to test it. Besides, the New Year is coming. I could have a happy holiday and New Year if I got high scores. Now, I get up half an hour earlier than before. This summer holiday, I had travelled to Hong Kong with many other students. We went to Hong Kong by plane. Hong Kong is very small, but there are many people living there.

In Hong Kong, all of the buildings are very tall. There are lots of shops there and you can go shopping until about 11:00 at night. In Hong Kong, things are very expensive, so we only bought a few souvenirs.

We went to lots of places, such as the Avenue of Stars and Ocean Park. I like Ocean Park best. The park is very big. Sitting in the cable car, you can see two hills, lots of different flowers and the sea. Some students were afraid of sitting in the cable car!

We stayed in the Shu Ren College. There are many big trees around it. We had meals in the restaurants, but I didnt like the food.

Hong Kong is very beautiful. I like Hong Kong and I hope to go there again some day.

Nowadays we see supermodels on almost every magazine cover and one might wonder what life will be like being one of them. Such assumption may be painful for most of the magazine readers who are already over the age when they can get taller. In response to the ”Getting taller trend”, some goes so far as to pay doctors to cut their legs open and let surgeries do the job to get just two centimeters’ higher.

In spite of all these that are happening, some of my taller friends desire to give up this superiority for they just don’t want to be the center of the crowd, saying that they would kill to be a 4 feet child. Girls, maybe you can’t remember the time when you were younger and you need to jump really hard to catch a glimpse of up-the-table world? But being taller, even the upper world of the refrigerator top is no longer a myth and your mom and dad can’t hide your snacks up there any more! As time goes on, you can easily see on the table the beautiful lavenders or lilies stretching themselves in their own fragrant smell, the shining toaster popping out warm tasty toast, or the little drops of water glittering under bright sunshine after your mom wipes the table. Don’t you just love to see every phase of the moon even when they are not that high up in the sky?

Well, I do. Being a 5 ft 10 myself, I am also taking the advantage of buying a larger outfit at a same price. Also, I get a cleaner view of the blackboard even when sitting far away from it. I run faster, jump higher and can think positively. I am proud to say that I possess the ability to see the upside of almost everything. I guess it is because I am closer to the clear blue sky above our heads.

In China, students work so hard, they study day and night, for the purpose of getting the high mark, so that they can go to a better school, which will bring them more promising future. To get the study time as more as possible, some students move their books to the study room, they want to occupy the seat, so they put a lot of books as the sign that the seat has been taken by someone, other people can’t take this seat. In my opinion, studying hard is a good thing, working hard will lead people to success, while taking the seat for a long time is not a civilized behavior. It is a kind of wasting resource, when students are not here, but the seats are empty, they should be left for other students to study.

新的一年又来到了，新的一学期开始了，新的考验又来临了，我的新学期的打算早就已经想好了。

在寒假里，妈妈经常让我在家里做饭洗衣烧菜，因为我的厨艺不能说是到达了炉火纯青的地步，在我们家却已经是数一数二的人物了，宕一顿餐吃完后，我必须要担当起刷锅洗碗的任务。我心里就非常生气，常常无缘无故生闷气，于是我就去找妈妈，妈妈给了我两个答案：大人们忙没有时间做家务；帮大人做事是我们份内的事情。我冥思苦想，绞尽脑汁也想不出来，于是我就只好消除了这股闷气，把它转换成方便别人快乐自己!

我一个人孤单的站在站台上，看着来来往往，忙忙碌碌，拎着大包小包的人们流离远去。只有我，只有我一个人站在原地，一动不动，品位等待的孤独与烦躁，观察众生的忧喜与匆忙。

站台，是起点也是终点，我们总是不断地期待、寻找、迈向一个什么地方。而我却站在这永恒的站台的中点，向左?向右?还是前行后退?

天空是浅灰色的，昏鸦掠过，落下几缕残歌，我已离开站台。飞机开向了远方，划下了一条苍白的痕迹。时间如白驹过隙，魔术师戴着白色的手套，把那些看得见的痕迹轻轻抹去。眨一眨眼睛世界似乎不同了。不过它没能抹去我心中那些看不见的痕迹。

At one time, I tried to work out in a gym two or three times, but I finally gave up just because I had no time for it and always felt very tired after doing exercise. Once I tried going on a diet. However, after about a week, I could not go on because I felt so hungry that I was not able to continue my studies. Then I bought and took weight-loss pills in secret. Shortly after, they did work and I was losing weight fast. But soon I felt tired and weak sometimes.

I know those pills usually have bad effects on our health. Thus, I don’t know what I should do. Could you be kind enough to give some good advice.

我败了，彻底的失败了!脚边躺着的断了弦的吉他，静静地看着哭泣的我，似乎在懊恼，比赛时为什么没有好好配合我，害我当众被人嘲笑。

哥哥站在一旁不语，只是默默那笔在纸上写了几个字后递给我。

“木已成粥?哥哥，错了，应该是‘舟’字。”我很疑惑，博览群书，成绩优越的哥哥，是不可能写错这么简单的成语的。

看着我不解的眼神，哥哥笑道：“将木头点燃拿去煮粥，木头虽然烧完了，但粥却熟了，不为‘木已成粥’么?”我一下子无以反驳，只能呆呆看着哥哥，木然地点了点头。

“木头的燃烧，造就了粥的甜美，谁又能说，这粥不是木头的又一个新起点?”哥哥伸出手揉了揉我的头，将我几天以来杂乱的思绪梳理了一遍，不错，“木已成粥”!就如皑皑白雪，化为溪流;纷纷落花，零落成泥，谁又能说，那不是它们又一个新起点?谁又能说，失败不是又一轮奋斗的新起点?

看到我眼中重燃希望的火光，哥哥松了一口气，用手指了指窗外，顺着他的手，我看见阳光正破开乌黑的苍穹，努力地洒满每一个角落，“雨停了!”我笑了，哥哥点了点头，目光触及那片湛蓝天空，我听见他感叹道：“是呢，这场瓢泼大雨，是太阳的又一个新起点!”我拾起断了弦的吉他，细心地将弦换掉，调好音，迎着那遥远深邃天空之上的太阳，弹起了一首首激昂的歌!

每一次的跌倒，是为了重新站起;每一次的受伤，是为了能学会坚持;每一次的失败，是为了再次的努力，又是一个崭新的起点，这一次，我要更加努力!

If I were a boy again, I would practice perseverance more often, and never

give up a thing because it was or inconvenient. if we want light, we must

conquer darkness. perseverance can sometimes equal genius in its results. “there

are only two creatures,” says a proverb, “who can surmount the pyramids—the

eagle and the snail.”

if i were a boy again, I would school myself into a habit of attention; i

would let nothing come between me and the subject in hand. i would remember that

a good skater never tries to skate in two directions at once.the habit of

attention becomes part of our life, if we begin early enough. i often hear grown

up people say “ i could not fix my attention on the sermon or book, although I

wished to do so” , and the reason is, the habit was not formed in youth.

if I were to live my life over again, I would pay more attention to the

cultivation of the memory. I would strengthen that faculty by every possible

means, and on every possible occasion. it takes a little hard work at first to

remember things accurately; but memory soon helps itself, and gives very little

trouble. it only needs early cultivation to become a power.
