I went to three cities to play during last summer holidays. They are Beijing, Dalian and HuHehot.

I went to Beijing more than eight times. Beijing is the capital of China. Its a big city. I am very familiar with Beijing. It takes an hour and forty minutes from Nantong to Beijing by plane. There are many tall buildings in Beijing. Its a modern city. My family visited the Great Wall, the Summer Palace, the Palace Museum, the Beihai Park, the Space Museum, etc. I went to the countryside of Beijing to go boating and fishing. I rode a horse on the graland. I picked some colourful flowers. We drank the tea with milk. There is a small desert, it was very hot when I walked on it. The sand could sing.

When holiday comes, thousands of people pour into the tourist sites, they want to relax themselves and enjoy the beautiful scenery. But Chinese people have a bad habit, they like to leave some notes on the site, proving them have been here before.

Such a behavior has been criticized by the public, because the leaving note will damage the preservation of the tourist site.

Most of the tourist sites are part of our country’s historical relics, these sites are priceless, it is everyone’s duty to protect the sites.

My son Joey was born with club feet. The doctors assured us that with treatment he would be able to walk normally — but would never run very well. The first three years of his life were spent in surgery, casts and braces. By the time he was eight, you wouldnt know he had a problem when you saw him walk .

We never told him he couldnt run four miles with a 103—degree fever. So he didnt know.

Two weeks later, the names of the team runners were called. Joey was number six on the list. Joey had made the team. He was in seventh grade — the other six team members were all eighth—graders. We never told him he shouldnt expect to make the team. We never told him he couldnt do it. We never told him he couldnt do it...so he didnt know. He just did it.

around the world .

When asked about their opinion on Spring Festival Gala, people always

reason differently. Some people deem that it should be cancelled, while there

are also other people who argue that it should be continued.

Some people take it for granted that the Gala should not exist because it

is too boring on the evening of the Lunar New Year. Besides, the form of the

Evening seems the same every year. In comparison, there are, however, a large

number of people who hold a different view concerning this issue, they insist

that the Gala must be continued. They argue that it is one of the most important

celebration customs. And they think the Gala is worth expecting.

As far as I am concerned, I am intending to stand on the side of the latter

group of people. Admittedly, the former point of view seems reasonable, but the

latter is more persuasive. Taking the above-mentioned factors into

consideration, I can safely conclude that the Gala just needs a reform in the

future but not to be cancelled.

这一天，我已经等了很多天了，因为我终于可以乘上我梦寐已久的飞机了。

我焦急地等着飞机，突然我听到“轰隆隆”的声音，“哈”飞机来了!我们像一支离弦的箭一般冲上了飞机，等着起飞。突然，我感觉我们正在向前冲，我看看窗外，“哇”我们的飞机已经慢慢移动了，只见飞机越跑越快，越跑越快，最后，居然离地了。我看见地面上的东西，越来越小，河流细地像一条条蚯蚓，房子小地像一块块积木，车子就更不用说了，就一像一只只蚂蚁。我们直入云霄，那里一片白茫茫的，简直就是人间仙境，我们很快就到了大连，但已经到了晚上了，我们就进入了甜甜的梦乡。

第二天，我们去抓海螺，我们二话不说，马上出发了。

到了海边，我看见无边无际的大海，金子般的沙滩，停泊在大海中的渔船，时不时天空还有海鸥飞过，海浪拍打着礁石好像在唱歌，这景色真宜人啊!陶醉在景色里面的我猛然地想起还要抓海螺，迷迷糊糊的走到岩石旁边，可真没想到这里的海螺就像星星一样多，到处可见，一摸就是一大把。但是我们跟不上时间的脚步，一眨眼就到了六点了，我只好依依不舍的离开了那里。

第三天，我们要去“棒棰岛”，因为这个岛的形状很像棒棰，因此，这个岛才叫棒棰岛。

我来到这里，恰巧有一位阿姨走过来，叫我捉几只青口给她，我想：“无缘无故为什么要青口呢?”我犹豫了一会儿，但还是给她捉了几只，“为什么要青口呢?”我忍不住问到。她说：“你等一下就知道了。”我看见她把青口敲开，再捆到一根木棍上，就带我去了一个悬崖峭壁，我们“翻山越岭”终于到了那里。这时，他才告诉你要抓螃蟹，一听到抓螃蟹，我的眼睛就亮了起来。可是那根捆着青口的木棍又有什么用呢?她拿起那根木棍，放入水中，螃蟹立刻爬了过来，毫不客气的吃了起来，她向上一提，就抓到了螃蟹。原来，她是用守株待兔的方法钓上螃蟹的，我们钓上的螃蟹一只接一只，但是时间已经偷偷溜走了，我要回家了。

晚上，我们又来到飞机场，飞机来了，我们再次坐上飞机，大连，再见!

It was a fine day! I went to several places of interest such as the Great Wall and Tiananmen square.I was amazed by Chinas historical background and the industrious Chinese people who built the Great Wall. People are very friendly here. I was greeted by amiable people who were nice enough to tell me about the history of China and by modest students who later practiced speaking English with me. China has left me a wonderful impression and I look forward to come back here for the Olympics.
