妈妈从小时候到现在都一直在关心我的生活，我的学习管的少些。在学习上，她管的最多的就是考试成绩，每次考试她都会问分数。如果考得不好，她会跟我分析我的错误，之后就会有惩罚。一般会不让我看电视、玩电脑一个星期。就是因为不想再受惩罚了，所以惩罚完之后的考试都考的相当好。在受罚的那段时间，我从来不会惹妈妈生气，就怕这个惩罚还没完，又有了新的惩罚。那个时候的妈妈也特别的开心。

通过这件事我知道了不惹妈妈生气就是对她最好的感恩了。

我的爸爸管我管的不是很严，只要我做完了规定的事（比如写作业），他就会随便我怎么玩。可是当我做错了什么事情，他的惩罚跟妈妈对我的惩罚来比，那就严重多了，不过我不经常在爸爸面前犯错误，就不会受太多惩罚。爸爸还有一个特点，就是不太关注我的错误，只看好不好。如果考的很好，就会适当的表扬我。如果考的不好，也只会说说，不会说一大堆教育我的话。爸爸经常会帮我做一些我不会的题目，有些出得特别刁钻的题目就会令他十分头疼。有些题目如果我会做，我就不会拖到给爸爸来做，最好自己先做出来。这或许也是在感恩爸爸。

多为爸爸分担一些，这应该就是对爸爸的感恩了。

学校是感恩老师最好的地方了。在上课的时候认真听讲，好好学习遵守纪律，尊敬老师，这或许就是我们对老师的感恩了。

我觉得，做好点点滴滴的每一件小事，就是对父母、老师最大的感恩。就是对他们爱的最大回报。

山感恩地，方成其高峻;海感恩溪，方成其博大;天感恩鸟，方成其壮阔。

我要感恩我的父母。因为是他们辛辛苦苦把我养大，是他们给了我生命，是他们让我能快快乐乐地成长……含辛茹苦，不求回报;我要感恩我的老师，因为是他教我学知识，教我学做人，帮我改正错误……夜以继日，不辞劳苦;我还要感恩世间万物，因为天地让我生存，太阳使我温暖，月亮给我能量……包罗万象，哺育生灵。

Many people believe that we have developed into a “throw-away society” which is filling with plastic bags and rubbish. What do you think?

Wind blows up bags higher and higher in the sky. It is a scary thought that some day the earth will turn into a huge garbage land. Wastes, if not treated properly, will make our life a living nightmare.

The environmental issue is getting worse almost every day in cities with very large population. As is often the case, city development outpaces environmental protection. People consume great amount of natural resources and produce wastes. To effectively address such problems, cities need to spend big money. In addition, they need to call to the attention of people to become more environmentally responsible.

Many people are becoming less responsible and easily influenced by bad behaviors. “Why should I care while others shouldn’t?” Such idea makes some people only concern with places where they live and work. Furthermore, people sometimes even purposely litter for revenge to other people.

Although media promotes environmental awareness, good people are often snubbed as posers who try to set up a superior image in real life. Consequently, they are intimated of receiving negative comments for doing the right thing. Wrong as it is, such phenomenon is widespread especially among youngsters and people with low income and little education.

However, our society is waging a campaign against environmental pollution. People learn the harms of un-degradable lunch boxes and other polluting wastes. Laws in many countries prohibit or limit excessive use of polluting bags. Companies are continually replacing the old materials with more environmental friendly and recyclable kinds. Scientists have developed more effective technologies in waste treatment. As time goes by, more and more people put high priority on the protection of environment for a healthier life.

To sum up, people produce huge amount of garbage and the environment is seriously polluted because of lack of financial resources, sense of responsibility, or efforts. But the world will not turn into a “throw away” society if people put in sufficient efforts to protect our environment.

我曾经看到这样一幕：一个年轻人帮助一个老婆婆找到了她的孩子，这个老婆婆为了感谢这位年轻人，就把自己最珍爱之物送给了他。我也看到过这样的一幕：一个小朋友向他的同桌借橡皮擦，用完之后，不仅连句感激的话都没有，甚至把橡皮擦据为已有，他认为这没什么，我不禁为这个小朋友的前程担心，一个没有感恩之心的人是不会有好作为的。

在我们的日常生活中，这样的事例屡见不鲜，现在的独生子女，都过着衣来伸手，饭来张口的日子，他们娇生惯养不知道体谅父母，感激父母，整天只知道向父母要钱，买好吃的好玩的，如果父母不满足他们的要求，轻则又哭又闹，重者还有谩骂父母的。看到这些，我不禁要问，是谁生养了他们，为什么他们连一点感恩的心都没有，要知道我们既然从母亲的肚子里被生出来就要知道感恩，更何况父母养育我们又花了多少心血啊!我们怎么能只知道索取而不知道感恩呢?

作为一个人，我们应该感谢身边的一切事物，我们人类只是地球历史的一页篇章，我们迟早会从地球霸主的位置上退下来，我们应该感谢万物给我们在地球上生存的机会，水，食物，空气，树木，花草……是它们让我们得以存活。可我们人类又在做什么呢?水被工厂的污水染上了颜色，空气被浓烟熏得不再清新，树木被砍伐，花草被践踏……他们何曾懂得感恩啊!鸡生蛋，蛋生鸡，感恩是一个不断循环的过程，如果世界上没了感恩，地球就会快速地走向灭亡。那么人类又何以生存啊!

晚上做完作业，时间还很早，我决定给爸爸妈妈过一个秘密感恩节。我拿出我装奖品的袋子，把奖品拿出来，然后把我回家画的画装进去，再在我的秘密百宝箱里拿出了幸运星、小花印章和一个青花瓷小珠子。幸运星在灯光的照耀下闪闪发光，青花瓷小珠子是大舅舅送我的，上面有美丽的桃花图案，我还有一个哩!小花印章是我以前最喜欢的印章。本来还想给妈妈送一块我和哥哥一起找到的像玉石一样的石头，但是后来一想，觉得不合适，就把它从袋子里拿出来了，放进了百宝箱，接着我剪了两个爱心，上面画了两个气球，然后，把它们一起放到爸爸妈妈的房间里，再剪了一些箭头，从大厅摆到爸爸妈妈的房间，爸爸妈妈看见了，立刻来寻宝，当他们看见我写的“笑”时，笑了起来，我立即给他们照了一张难忘的、模糊的纪念照……

我相信，这个难忘的感恩节，肯定会被照片和日记记录下来……

The Pilgrims who sailed to this country aboard the Mayflower were originally members of the English Separatist Church (a Puritan sect). They had earlier fled their home in England and sailed to Holland (The Netherlands) to escape religious persecution. There, they enjoyed more religious tolerance, but they eventually became disenchantedwith the Dutch way of life, thinking it ungodly. Seeking a better life, the Separatists negotiated with a London stock company to finance a pilgrimage to America. Most of those making the trip aboard the Mayflower were non-Separatists, but were hired to protect the companys

interests. Only about one-third of the original colonists were Separatists.

The Pilgrims set ground at Plymouth Rock on December 11, 1620. Their first winter was devastating. At the beginning of the following fall, they had lost 46 of the original 102 who sailed on the Mayflower. But the harvest of 1621 was a bountiful one. And the remaining colonists decided to celebrate with a feast -- including 91 Indians who

had helped the Pilgrims survive their first year. It is believed that the Pilgrims would not have made it through the year without the help of the natives. The feast was more of a traditional English harvest festival than a true "thanksgiving" observance. It lasted three days.

Governor William Bradford sent "four men fowling" after wild ducks and geese. It is not certain that wild turkey was part of their feast. However, it is certain that they had venison. The term "turkey" was used by the Pilgrims to mean any sort of wild fowl.

domestic cattle for dairy products, and the newly-discovered potatowas still considered by many Europeans to be poisonous. But the feast did include fish, berries, watercress, lobster, dried fruit, clams, venison, and plums.

This "thanksgiving" feast was not repeated the following year. But in 1623, during a severe drought, the pilgrims gathered in a prayer service, praying for rain. When a long, steady rain followed the very next day, Governor Bradford proclaimed another dayof Thanksgiving, again inviting their Indian friends. It wasnt until June of 1676 that another Day of Thanksgiving was proclaimed.

刘志老师又给我们讲了一位聋哑小姑娘成为世界名模的小故事。大家听后，热泪盈眶，有的还会发出哭泣的声音来，我也一样。这时的我，想：与我年龄一般大小的小女孩都没有了父母，而我的爸爸妈妈每天都关心我，我却身在福中不知福，真是惭愧啊!

刘志老师不但教我们感恩父母，而且教我们感恩老师。

老师说：“当你们在操场上嬉戏的时候，老师在办公室里备课;当夜深人静的时候，老师在批改作业。老师不停地位你们付出，而你们呢?”这时候，大家都低下了头。

听完这节生动的感恩教育课，我觉得不懂得感恩的人，就不是一个活生生的人，就对不起这个“人”字称号。
