姚明在退役发布会上感言：“感谢这个伟大进步的时代，使我有机会去实现自己的梦想和价值。”

今天，我们每个人未必像姚明那样尽情绽放了梦想，但我们都有自己的梦，也都或多或少地实现着自己的梦。

尽管我们的梦想实现未必尽如人意，有的人还在埋怨，收入还不够高，房子还不够大，工作还不够好，看病还不够方便，但与自己的过去相比，梦想的旅程都早已离开原点，梦想的花朵已然开始绽放。

也许，执着于自己的梦想久了，我们可能忘了梦想生长的土壤。也许，有的人认为，自己梦想的实现，得益于自己的奋斗，这个时代、我们国家并没有直接为自己做过什么。

然而，百余年前的中国人不敢有梦，百余年后的中国人都有自己的梦，其间的差别就在于“中国梦”。

当“中国梦”没有绽放，个人的梦又如何开花?从根本上说，我们每个人梦想生长的土壤，都深深植根于“中国梦”，我们每个人梦想的成长，都有“中国梦”的成长相伴。有了“中国梦”的茁壮，我们才有了做自己的梦的自由。

这170多年来，正是无数先贤**把自己的梦融入“中国梦”，正是一代代人执着坚韧地接续“中国梦”，“中国梦”才有今日之荣光。

这30多年来，我们能够改变自己的生活甚至命运，能够让自己的梦想次第开放，亿万农民工能够在神州大地上自由流动，市场的生机活力在最贫穷的地方也能够崭露头角。我们也不能忘记，这一切根本得益于“中国梦”的追逐，得益于党带领人民在追逐“中国梦”的进程中，创造了发展传奇。

“中国梦”与个人梦唇齿相依。我们追逐自己的梦，本身构成了“中国梦”的一块块基石。“中国梦”的建构，又为我们放飞自己的梦想提供了平台和土壤。

历史的接力棒已经交到我们手中，我们要大声宣言：勿忘昨天的苦难与辉煌，无愧今天的责任与使命，不负明天的梦想与追求。

In my early years, I did not see the value of education.

When I was going on thirteen, I started to run my own shop. From then on, I worked hard to become a successful businessman.

One day I realized the importance of the English language in the business world and started taking night classes.

I was able to communicate well with foreign customers after two years of English study. But I started to feel that, in the long run, having a limited knowledge of English was not enough to make my business successful. I knew that only a well- rounded education could guarantee my success in the future.

When I was eighteen, I had to make a decision to continue doing business or go back to school. There was one obstacle keeping me from getting an advanced education. I had only completed elementary school up to that point. I then went back to senior high school after four months of tutoring in different subjects. Being at school for the first time after so many years was somewhat embarrassing because my classmates were at least two or three years younger than I. I concluded that my age did not matter. The important thing was getting into college.

I took the College Entrance Exams. Although my math exam result was only one point below the required score. I never gave up hope. The following year, I took it again and received the highest score in my city. Achieving such an amazing result gave me encouragement and courage necessary to continue my education to the next step.

I am now in my second year of college and know that it is never too late to learn. My passion for studying and improving myself will never come to a halt as long as I continue to live.

“Live and Learn.” is the motto I have adopted. I believe with an education I will succeed. So, if you are wondering whether education is important, don’t hesitate a moment to step up and seize the opportunity.

Success, as is known, is the pursuit of many ambitious people. It requires much of a person.

In my  above all, one should be a person of strong perseverance. Rome was not built in a day. On our long way to success, there are  undoubtedly many difficulties standing in the way. If we lose heart and give up

In recent years, drought has prevailed in northern parts of our country. There is no or only little rain in spring and summer in the noth and northeast of China. The same is true of snow in winter.

Consequently, big cities such as Beijing and Tianjin are short of water every year, which affects the life of the urban people and the production of factories. And the drought is most felt by crops in rural areas, of course. It is known to all that today the environment has been badly polluted. Though many action have

been taken to protect our environment, it still has a long way to go. Two years ago, I went to middle school, and the first moment I saw the environment, I found that trees were very small, and many workers were busy planting trees. The International Childrens Day (ICD) is celebrated in numerous countries, usually (but not always) on June 1 each year.

The ICD had its origin in the World Conference for the Wellbeing of Children in Geneva, Switzerland in 1925. It is not clear as to why June 1 was chosen as the ICD: one theory has it that the Chinese consul-general in San Francisco (USA) gathered a number of Chinese orphans to celebrate the Dragon Boat Festival in 1925, which happened to be on June 1 that year, and also coincided with the conference in Geneva.

June 1 has since been observed as the ICD by numerous countries, especially by Communist countries; in the Western world the ICD is usually celebrated on other days of the year (if at all)， and there is often little public awareness about these celebrations. The sun was shining really brightly. We could hear the birds singing outside the window. It was a fine day！

I went to the City Wildlife Park with my classmates by bus. We arrived there at 8:00. When I got out of the bus, some of us had rushed into the gate of the park. First, we visited the golden monkeys. They were lovely and cute. They jumped from this tree to another tree which was about two meters away. That was amazing, wasn’t it? And then we watched an animal show. They danced like humans. They could do everything we asked them to do. After that we visited safari park. All kinds of animals could be seen there, such as tigers, lions, deer and goats. I loved lions best, because they were the king of the forest, they are so powerful. I wished I could be strong just like them !

读书人都爱书。自古以来，不少名人将自己勤奋读书的情趣写成对联，用以自勉或互勉。

宋代学者刘载好学不倦，知识渊博，他的书斋配挂一副自书对联：“夜眠人静后，早起鸟鸣先”，说明学习的勤奋和刻苦。

苏东坡年轻时自以为已无书不读，便书一联：“识遍天下字，读尽人间书”。 后经一老翁指点，改成：“发奋识遍天下字，立志读尽人间书”。

诗人陆游以书为伴，将书斋取名“书巢”， 并自题一联：“万卷古今消永日，一窗昏晓送流年”。

民族英雄郑成功酷爱读书，他的自勉读书联寓意深刻，颇有韵味：“养心莫若寡欲，至乐无如读书”。

清代一些读书对联各道志趣，清新可读。咸丰年间学者王文韶手书一联：“好山水游，其人多寿;有诗书气，生子必才”。

学者孙星衍写有一副对联：“莫放春秋佳日过，最难风雨故人来”。曾有不少人书写此联，张贴于书房，以鞭策自己。

文学家王士祯爱好读书写作，曾自题书斋联：“书搜万卷，读书求实用;笔剩一枝，下笔尚真情”。

《四库全书》的总纂纪晓岚写有一副对联：“浮沉宦海为鸥鸟;生死书丛似蠹鱼”。联中把自己比喻成“蛀书虫”，热爱读书由此可见。

现代名人的读书对联独具情趣。蔡元培步入仕途仍不忘读书，曾撰写对联悬于书斋：“都无作官意;惟有读书声”。

沈钧儒的书斋也有一联：“立志俯存千载想;闲淡无过五分钟”。他立戒清淡，惜时如金。

鲁迅在北京“老虎尾巴”书房西壁挂有一副集屈原《离骚》句联：“望崦嵫而勿迫;恐鹈鸟之先鸣”。他在《彷徨》的题词也引了《离骚》中的“路漫漫其修远兮，吾将上下而求索”， 正好是这一联的注脚。

周恩来读中学时，撰写一联：“与有肝胆人共事，从无字句处读书”。把如何交友，怎样读书说得明朗透彻。
