There was once a little turtle that wanted to be the fasted animal in the

jungle, everybody laughed at him and said that he could never be the fasted

animal ever. But the turtle didn’t listen to them, and instead, he decided to

they did not go to ask the hare; since he was not yet the fastest any more,

instead they went to the turtle to get advice from their new jungle running

lesson teacher.

University. Since leaving university I have been working in a research

Once upon a time in a kingdom far away, there was an India princess called

Lily; she lived with her father in a desert, where the camel was always good and

healthy… One day Lily went off through the woods to find some food to eat up.

One or two times she would stop to admire the beautiful views, and try to aim at

those who bother her; when she returned, she dragged a big deer for supper… it

get down from her platform, a crocodile blocked her way, she sat there looking

frightened.

At last some back men rode horses came to this place, they quietly without

any word, kicked the crocodile down; and then killed him. Lily finally got down

from the tree or platform, and went with the black men.

At last they arrived at the black men hiding place, and they fed her with

some delicious meals; during the great time that Lily was having some men with

white horses galloped toward Lily; she was still having delicious meals when

bomb! Lily was captured in a cage.

Lily was very worried, she yelled out for help! Finally the black men came,

and found the cage where Lily was in.

They hurried up, and used their stick and opened the cage. The white men

came, and were ready to battle; the black men made a signal to let Lily get out

of here. Lily got out and scrambled. When the black men returned, they found

Lily clasped on the ground… They carried Lily on their horses to their hiding

spots, and fed her some water and some meals.

At last Lily woke up, and saw the black men; she went to hug them and say

thanks for saving her. The next day the black men took Lily to find her parents.

Lily asked for a bowl of porridge as a meal, and set off on their black horse.

Along the way, they found a camp place; it was where Lily’s father lived! Lily

jumped off the black horse, and ran to her father and hugged him; they were all

very, very happy.

When the king saw the black men, he was very angry. But Lily said to him;

“Father, these are the men that saved me from the white men that had captured

me, they are amazing!” the king thought about this for a moment, and so decided

to let the black men go in peace.

At last Lily was at home, his father was so very glad to see her. During

their happiness together, the black men came back and prepared a special feast

for everyone to enjoy. The music began to blow, and they started to dance up and

down and twirling about in the air…

They ate their meals, and drank some porridge, and lived pretty happy. One

day when the black men were about to leave, the king asked; “Is there something

我的父亲每每谈及他的童年，心中总是充满感慨。为了生存，我的爷爷曾带着我的大伯沿路讨饭到内蒙，我的父亲则跟着我的奶奶给生产队里放羊，“穷的揭不开锅”是那一时期陕北的真实写照。父亲为了跳出不毛之地，立志发奋读书，他凭借读书改变命运的信念离开了黄土高坡来到省城西安求学，他看到了外面不一样的天。

90年代初，在党中央的关怀下，通过能源资源开发，老区陕北终于变了天。丰富的煤炭、石油、天然气让黄土高原上的人民从此扬眉吐气，陕北的经济飞速发展。陕北的高楼越盖越多，陕北的马路越修越宽，陕北人民的生活越来越幸福。大伯住进了漂亮的小洋楼，过上了衣食无忧的好日子。饮水思源，大伯每每感叹如今的好光景时，总不忘嘱咐我：“你们这些后生要好好珍惜今天的好日子哩，要好好念书，将来做一个对国家有用的人！”说到动情处，大伯那两颗稍显浑浊的眸子便如榆溪河的水，清冽明亮！父亲每每回到陕北，总喜欢徒步到老宅，那是一孔无人居住的窑洞，破旧的窗棂、腐朽的门板记录了父亲艰涩的童年和逆境中的顽强。如今她仍在岁月的静默中驻守，陕北从贫瘠到繁荣，都被她一一见证。

先生笔下的“西安府”是我的家乡。

妈妈高中毕业后来到西安上大学，妈妈说，那时的公交车除了“大通道”便是“招手停”。西安郊区的马路则是典型的“水泥扬灰路”，即晴天时汽车轰鸣而过卷起漫天尘土，雨天时道路泥泞不堪，行人苦不堪言。时光在“相约98”的歌声中慢慢流淌，如今，“大通道”和“招手停”早已被舒适整洁的绿色新能源汽车所取代，多条地铁线在西安城的地下忙碌穿梭，轻轨也将从我家门口经过。曾经的“水泥扬灰路”早已不复存在，如今，西安的街头巷尾花很红树很绿，干净的地面上没有一片树叶、没有一颗烟头。

先生当年进入西安府时的山依旧层层叠叠危峰兀立，只是旧时的黄土山早已披新戴绿换了新颜。一座干净整洁的山水之城、花园之城在八百里秦川上拔地而起，今日的西安陆空交通四通八达，大大缩短了时空的距离。大街小巷上不时见到各种肤色、操着不同语言的外国友人，他们无不被这座历史名城吸引着、无不被这座现代化新城震撼着。“一带一路”的国家发展战略，更是赋予了西安这座具有深厚文化底蕴城市新的历史机遇，将西安打造成一座具有强大竞争力的国家中心城市，是新一代西安人矢志不移的追求。

从我的祖辈身上，我感受到淳朴善良；从我的父母身上，我感受到奋发向上；从我的师长身上，我感受到殷切期望；从先生的书中，我感受到祖国在艰难中壮大成长。我将传承善良，拼搏进取，不负期望，为努力实现中华民族伟大复兴的梦想贡献自己的一份力量！

Today is the weekend， usually tired of the physical and mental relaxation!

I hide in the quilt until noon to get up. At this time， my father took me up to

go to the park to play together. Suddenly， it was all over! The beautiful

scenery of the park makes my mood better， today is really happy!

Nowadays, the environment has been polluted badly, the government tries

hard to call for the public to return the world green. But every year, there are

so many incidents about the forest on fired. It is so sad for us, because it

means the environment gets worse. We must pay attention to protect the forest

and do not bring fire.

There was once a little girl called Lulu, who is also me, that wanted to

visit the moon for just one time. And so I packed up everything that I will

need, and went to the space port to get ready.

Before we took off, I just ate a sandwich and dreamed if I were an

astronaut. “3, 2, 1…” and we blasted off to outer space. I was so excited that I

even took notes when we were still on the ship. I wrote these words which I only

have in my own brain; they were, “I love flying on the space ship and learn

about outer space, although I am not even on the moon,” those words I thought

that would make my father proud.

Now since we had already reached the moon, I got down and jumped up, and

figured that I could jump very high. I knew why because I learned it in science

class today, and so I wrote, “On the moon, I can jump very high because that our

weight is lighter on the moon according to its gravity.” I love exploring, and

heard that there were also aliens here.

I was really excited, and asked some of the real alive astronauts if the

aliens were true, some of them said yes but some of them said no; I was

confused, “Why did some say yes and some say no? I think that I shall have to

find out;” after saying those words I and the astronauts went around and around

the moon looking for aliens. At first I thought that we could find some, but

after an hour we began to feel more that the aliens didn’t exist at all; some of

the astronauts smiled.

I didn’t know why they smiled but I thought that it was pretty natural.

After one minute I heard a thumping noise, and a queer sound coming from the

darks side of the moon. I looked over there and saw some queer little fellows

heading their way, they had no where to hide, and so they found a pile of rock

which was by our side; and went to hide. When the little queer men went away we

came out of our hiding spot and went on. I began to write, “I knew at once that

they must be the aliens…” I thought it was a cool report and the astronauts

smiled again.

I did not know what they were smiling at, probably their habit or something

perhaps? After thinking about that queer question I heard another thumping sound

and some huge men walked pass them just as the little ones did. I was now really

confused, “Some little and some big ones?” perhaps they were having a game or

something like that.

After the tour, I was very excited to give my report to my father and so

hopped on the space ship to go back to earth. But there was a problem; they

couldn’t find where they lived. The astronauts smiled and didn’t say a word. I

was now extra confused because I thought that they were nervous too. And so they

took another passage to Africa where it is the place best to have a safari,

which is to have a picnic with wild animals around them.

After landing I said, “Why did you take this pass?” and then after that

they smiled again, I was still confused. When I turned my head in front of

myself, I saw dad on the ground with wild animals all around him. Now I

remembered that it was my birthday; I was so surprised, and even the aliens

came. Now I know the whole plan about this.

How are things going with you in Beijing?

I am writing to show my thanks to you. You tutored me in my spoken English before you went to Beijing. With your help I made such rapid progress that I won the first place in the Spoken English Competition of the city. My achievement is owed to your help. Thank you very much.

I have heard that you and your wife will pay a visit to my school. I am very glad at the news. In that case we can see each other again. I am looking forward to your coming. I am sending you a telescope as a small gift. I hope you will like it.

On the other hand, there are many people who say that pets should be

banned. They point out that pets are responsible for disease which hurt

property, and for injuries suffered both by the people who kept them and by

innocent other people. They also say that pets are a waste of money and

resources.

另一方面，也有很多人说应该禁止养宠物。他们指出宠物是造成伤害(身体)性能的疾病的原因，并且会使养宠物的人和其他无辜的人受伤。他们也说，养宠物是一个浪费钱和资源(的事)。

My own point of view is that we should had the hobby of keeping pets. While

at the same time making them harmless. In addition, we should restrict the

keeping the pets to some area.

我的观点是我们应该有养宠物的爱好。尽管(我们)同时要使它们少受伤害。另外，我们应该禁止在某些区域内养宠物。

In our life,have some animals,they are so cult and so ugly,but we must know

animals and humans are friends,we should like animals ,so i wnat to be a

volunteer to help them. I am so friendly and i love animals very much,i can do

more things and i do some good things,i give the money for save Chinas tigers

I was truly enraptured beyond expression to receive your flowers which

turned our living room into a garden. How considerate and wonderful of you to

remember my birthday. You just couldnt have selected anything I had have liked

more! You have a positive genius for selecting the right gift!

The four years I spent with you at the college have been the pleasantest

period in my life. I will cherish this memory forever. How nice it would be to
