利用寒假的时间我读了《大卫·科波菲尔》一书。看到这个名字不要以为他是魔术师大卫·科波菲尔。

《大卫·科波菲尔》是19世纪英国批判现实主义大师狄更斯的一部代表作。这本书构思于1847年，但作者直到1849年才动笔写它，完成于1850年10月。

主人公大卫·科波菲尔出生之前，他的父亲就去世了，母亲在他7岁时就改嫁。大卫的继父是一个凶狠贪婪的家伙，而且继父的姐姐竟也是个铁石心肠，不近情理的人。他们姐弟俩不仅百般虐待大卫，而且把大卫的母亲折磨致死。母亲死后，大卫的继父逼大卫去当童工。在此期间，大卫有幸逃了出来，去投奔了他好心的姨婆，并被姨婆送进一所很好的学校，接受良好的教育。大卫在成长过程中历经磨难，但是他善良，正直，乐于助人的天性始终没有改变。他在困境中奋发向上，刻苦努力，最终不仅在事业上获得了巨大的成功，也同时获得了美满的幸福生活。在这部具有强烈的自传色彩的小说里，狄更斯借用“大卫自身的历史和经验”，从不少方面回顾和总结了自己的生活道路，反映了他的人生哲学和道德理想。

《大卫·科波菲尔》通过主人公大卫一生的悲欢离合，多层次地揭示了当时社会的真实面貌，突出地表现了金钱对婚姻、家庭和社会的腐蚀作用。小说中一系列悲剧的形成都是金钱导致的。摩德斯通骗娶大卫的母亲是觊觎她的财产;爱弥丽的私奔是经受不起金钱的诱惑;威克菲尔一家的痛苦，海穆的绝望，无一不是金钱造成的恶果。而卑鄙小人希普也是在金钱诱惑下一步步堕落的，最后落得个终身监禁的可耻下场。狄更斯正是从人道主义的思想出发，暴露了金钱的罪恶，从而揭开“维多利亚盛世”的美丽帷幕，显现出隐藏其后的社会真相。

谈到拜金主义感想颇多。现实生活中这样的事太多了，事件都出现在领导层。他们利用手中的权力贪污腐化，以至于一些领导干部晚洁不保。败倒在金钱的石榴裙下，仔细想想值得吗!为官一任，国家已经给了很多优厚的待遇，可是为什么会有许多人不满足呢?非得走到犯罪的道路上才知道悔之晚矣呢?

在人物的塑造上，大卫·科波菲尔无疑倾注了作者的全部心血。不论是他孤儿时代所遭遇的种.种磨难和辛酸，还是他成年后不屈不挠的奋斗，都表现了一个小人物在资本主义社会中寻求出路的痛苦历程。经历了大苦大难后尝到人间幸福和温暖的大卫，靠的是他真诚、直率的品性，积极向上的精神，以及对人的纯洁友爱之心。安妮斯也是作者着力美化的理想的女性。她既有外在的美貌，又有内心的美德，既坚韧不拔地保护着受希普欺凌的老父，又支持着饱受挫折之苦的大卫。她最后与大卫的结合，是“思想和宗旨的一致”，这种完美的婚姻使小说的结尾洋溢一派幸福和希望的气氛。他们都是狄更斯的资产阶级人道主义理想的化身。这种思想的形成与狄更斯个人的经历和好恶是分不开的。他始终认为，处于受压迫地位的普通人，其道德情操远胜于那些统治者、压迫者。正是基于这种信念，小说中许多普通人如渔民辟果提、海穆，尽管家贫如洗，没有受过教育，却怀有一颗诚朴、善良的心，与富有的斯提福兹及其所作所为形成了鲜明的对比。

我觉得贯穿本书的是“人性”二字。文中出现了各式的艺术形象，但在我看来，这些其实就是现实生活中活生生的人物。这些人的存在，不仅在19世纪，而且是当代。人性，不乏美好与丑恶。美好的人性，应被我们铭记，而不应被时代的变更而冲淡，我们更应去发扬它，让它主导整个人性。而它，对于我们的社会是极其有意义的。但那些丑恶的人性，则应被人禁锢，它不应被散播到社会上去，这不仅对我们的社会无任何意义，甚至还会拖我们进步的后腿。我们应该继承和发扬美好的人性，让缺憾的心灵弥补过来;而对于丑恶的人性，我们应坚决说“不”，并用美好的人性打败它

狄更斯也是一位幽默大师，小说的字里行间，常常可以读到他那诙谐风趣的联珠妙语和夸张的漫画式的人物勾勒。评论家认为《大卫·科波菲尔》的成就，超过了狄更斯所有的其他作品。

与狄更斯的另一部作品《雾都孤儿》相比，它更加完美，不仅带有青年时的愤慨，更多了几分成熟，也更加贴近现实。无论孩童时代的大卫，还是青年时代的大卫，身上那股韧劲令人赞叹。如果换成我，我也能象大卫这样吗?面对凶狠的继父我会保持冷静吗?在经历那么多失败，我还会拥有希望吗?我觉得我很难做到。

从大卫的身上我看到，在危难之中，拥有乐观的心态是多么的重要，只有这样，我们才能成为那逆风飞翔的蝶。其实成功离我并不遥远，只要坚持追求，总能将他捉住，而我却常常畏惧失败，不敢向前。今后无论遇到怎样的困难，我一定以大卫为榜样，做一株看似柔弱，但历经风雨永不弯曲的青竹!

The Carpathia Immigration Officer asks Rose what her name is and she loved Jack so much she says her name is not Rose DeWitt Bukator, but her name is Rose Dawson. She seen Cal looking for her, but he doesnt see her, and they never ended up together, her mom, Cal, and friends of the family has know choice but to think that she died on the Titanic. But in the crash of 1929, Cal is married, but then he put a pistol in his mouth and committed suicid. So Rose is an actress in the 20s, and now 84 years later Rose Calvert is 100 years old and tells her grand daughter Lizzy Calvert, Brock Lovett, Lewis Bodine, Bobby Buell, and Anatoly Mikailavich the whole story from departure until the death of Titanic on its first and last voyage, and then to Rose all Titanic and the real love of her life Jack Dawson is all an existence inside of her memory, and Titanic is to rest in peace at the bottom of the North Atlantic from 1912 until the end of time.

so fascinated with the short story that I want to retell it yo you,and to myself.

It happened to a very poor but blissful young couple named Jim and Della in the end of 18th century in England.Because of the maladies of that society and the effect of economic crisis,they worked hard but earned little.Life is very hard for them.Despite of this,their love to each other and the enthusiasm for life didnt changed at all.When Chrismas day was approuching ,Della used the money she got from selling her beautiful hair which she treasured very much to give Jim a fob for his grandfathers pocket watch.But Jim had already sold that watch to buy Della tortoiseshell combs to wear in her long hair,not knowing shed cut it off.

It appears that the gifts they gave each other have been useless.But I think they gave each other the best of what they had to make the other happy.Isnt that true love?We can image,in such rough conditions,as it said in the story,"Life is made up of sobs,sniffles,and smiles,with sniffles predominating."Itst absolute reasonable for them to be beaten by the misery.But the fact is that no matter how tough life had been,they wouldt lose heart.With strong faith and their love ,they did their best to make the other pleased."Whennever Mr. James came home and reached his flat ,above he was called Jimand greatly hugged by Mrs. James."Maybe this account is the best description of their love and struggle against hard life.It was said that the povertier life is ,the firmer and truer love is."Actually,theyd given the very best they had out of love.

I remind my grandparents.They have spent fifty years together.No romantic words,no stirring behaviours,just comman even pedestrian life.But I can say love exists in every detail of their life.They have gone through war period,three years natural disasters,cultural revolution and so on.But no matter what happens,they are always considering for the other.Even now both of them have become old step by step,they still cared about each other.My grandparents,in my opinion,is a pair of lovers forever.

Love has nothing to do with money,possession or status.Its consideration,tolerance and respect.Its giving ones best to the other even it means sacrifice.Its affection which connects two persons hearts,and its reinforced by adversities.

Sunshine shines over the statue in Orleans. The ordinary but famous girl named Joan is riding on her horse, smiling and looking down at the land that she has loved and fought on. She is the heroine of France, the saint from heaven. Her influences shine over every person’s heart, and I am deeply impressed by her story.

When Louis XIII was the king, the British and the Burundians invaded France and wanted to have the northern part of France. Joan helped French people coronate their new king, Louis XIV, getting almost all the invaded land back with the help of three saints. But after that, she was caught by the Burundians and was burnt on a cross by her enemy. This is the famous story about Joan, the saint. From a village girl to a national heroine, she only used a few years. How could Joan of Arc do that? I wonder.

Someone says the saints have chosen her and the God has given her power. But actually the real virgin doesn’t exist, From the birth of Jesus Christ in the first century, people have controlled the Christianity. I think the religion has become a tool between people. This kind of opinion about the success of Joan must be wrong.

Someone said, Joan had this wonderful success because of her confidence and will. I quite agree with this opinion. Because there aren’t any virgins in the world, so I think the appearance of the saints was only in Joan’s mind, actually nothing special happened to Joan. I think the things which really mattered were Joan’s thoughts. In my opinion, Joan must have some military ability to lead the whole army, because of her unusual image, Joan became more confident to the success. It let Joan had the will to be successful. So the success before did not happen by accident,. After some battles, Joan said that she had lost her support from the saints, but actually this didn’t mind. The more important thing was that she had lost her confidence and will, so she lost the battle at last.

So I think confidence and will are just like the foundation of success. All the success depends on them.

In the real world, confidence and will is always very important. During the XX Athens Olympic Games, Li Ting and Sun Tiantian have won the gold medal for the women’s double in the tennis game. It was the first time our anthem playing on the tennis court. Some medium says that they have won by chance. It was only a fairy tale. But I don’t think so. Actually they have won because of their believing in themselves, because they have confidence and will, so they have created a fairy tale in Greece. Their confidence and will have made the success, not by accident.

In our daily life, we must have confidence and will as well. Before the test we need to be confident to our actual strength or we’ll not give full play to our initiative. We need to be confident when we are speaking in public or others will not remember you among all the speakers. We need to have will in studying or we’ll not learn things solidly. We need to have will in our daily life or we’ll give up the things we are doing now. If we have confidence and will in our daily life, then I believe you’ll live brighter.

Not long ago I just read the English version of "Diary of Anne Frank." In fact, this is not the first time I read this book. When I first read it in elementary school, and read the Chinese version. Then still small, still can not read, that means nothing. Now it seems there feeling very deeply.

Anne Frank was a Jewish girl. She could and ordinary girl, living a happy life, but she was not hiding different parents attic. Anne all day hiding in dark little attic to escape the Nazis killing. She could not get close to nature, can not be friends like before play. In the shadow of the shadow of death, Anne only keep a diary to get through tough every day. 感谢《安妮日记》，让人们看到了战争的丑恶，让人们去思考，去为不幸的人们哀悼。

Its a moving story and a mixture of love,fear,guilty,atonement and so on.For a lont time,it makes the books we read lost their color.

The first time I read a book written by an Afghan atuhor named Khaled Hosseini ,it told a story between two boys.A rich boy Amir at the age of 12 and his servant Hasan were brotherly loved.Nevertheless,afer a kite game,something miserable happened.Amir feel grievous and guilty for his cowardice and he cannot confront Hansan,using something contempitable to let Hansan and his father leave his home.Not long,Afghanistan broke ou a war,Amir and his father had to fled to America.After his grown- up,he cannot forgave what he had done to Hansan before.And to atone for himself,he returned his hometown,which was destoryed badly by the war……

Maybe all of us more or less had done something as Amir did before,we are too young to understand others feelings when we broke their heart into pieces.We may feel guilty and miserable for waht we have done.But there is no use to cry over spilt milk.What we really should do is to face the reality and like Amir,to atone for ourselves.

The first sentence in this book is impressive. It reads: “It is a truth well known to all the world that an unmarried man in possession of a large fortune must be in need of a wife”. The undertone is very clear: the foundation of the marriage at that time is not emotion but possession.

People always think that Austen was an expert at telling love stories. In fact, the marriage in her book is not the result of love, but the result of economic needs. After reading this book, I know the truth is that a poor woman must be in need of a husband, a wealthy man.

I couldn’t forget how eager Mrs. Bennet wants to marry off her daughters. If you want to know why she is so crazy about these things, I must mention the situation in Britain at that time. Only the eldest son had the privilege of inheriting his father’s possessions. Younger sons and daughters who are used to luxurious lives have no choice but marry a man or woman in possession of a large fortune to continue their comfortable lives. Thus, we can see that getting married is a way to become wealthier, particularly for women without many possessions. Jane Austen told us that money and possession determined everything, including marriage and love in her century.

In “Pride and Prejudice”, the sister of Mr. Bingley strongly opposed his plan of marrying Jane because the Bennets don’t have many possessions and their social positions are much lower than them. From this, we can see there are a lot of obstacles for a not very rich woman to marry a wealthy husband. The society, the relatives would not allow them to get married.

In modern society, although the marriages of economic needs have decreased rapidly, the concept of “money determines everything” is still rooted in some people’s mind. A lot of parents try hard to interfere their children’s marriages. Education background, possessions, jobs remains the main reason that may influence one’s marriage. Marry for money is still a big problem in our society. We can’t help thinking: can money determine everything?

这篇小说的主人公是大卫·科波菲尔。他的童年生活十分凄惨：父亲在他未出生前就去世了，8岁时母亲改嫁，继父摩德斯通先生严酷残暴，他的姐姐莫德斯通小姐也一样铁石心肠，不近人情。后来他被送往学校——钱国最糟糕的学校之一，那里的人也并不友善——残忍的校长，狡诈的朋友……大卫在学校里饱受煎熬，然而他那善良的母亲却只能忍气吞声。不久之后，大卫的母亲便去世了。这是他的继父便霸占了家产，还把大卫送去工厂工作，尽管他当时只有十岁。读到这里，我不免为大卫的悲惨童年感到万分同情与难过。相比之下，我的童年简直太幸福了。我享受着父母的关爱，在学校里又和蔼的老师与友爱的同学，我是多么幸福啊I是大卫却生活得如此悲苦，这是多么的可怜啊!

然而大卫却没有放弃一切希望，他逃离了工厂，准备投奔他的姨婆——一位貌似严肃却有着菩萨心肠的人。在她的帮助下，大卫开始了全新的生活：他被送往一所正规的学校并且在那里完成了学业。然后就做了一名律师。尽管大卫现在生活得很好，但它周围仍有心怀歹意的人——尤赖亚·希普。

大卫的生活还真是一波接一搏。他摆脱了残暴的继父却又碰到了很有心机的系谱。我想，如果换做是我， 也许早就放弃了，然而大卫凭着他坚定的毅力，勇敢地走下去了。

这是多么令人高兴的事啊!大卫终于打败了敌人，战胜了困难与挫折。

读完了大卫·科波菲尔一书。我领悟到了许多。他就像钢铁是怎样炼成的中的保尔一样，坚强、勇敢……

我想：我们应向大卫学习，尽管人生中有许多不如意的事，但我相信，只要坚强，有信心勇敢地去面对它，就一定会成功!
