屈原是战国时期出国人，很有学问。他在楚王身边做官，以形象是自己的国家富强起来。昏君楚王却听信奸臣的话，把屈原削职流放。在流放中，屈原听说楚国的都城被敌人占领，百姓遭难，悲愤极了。五月初五这一天，他来到汨罗江边，怀抱一块石头，以纵身跳入汨罗江中。出国的百姓听到屈原投江的消息，都十分悲痛。他们含着泪划着船赶来打捞屈原，还把粽子扔到江里喂鱼，希望鱼儿不要伤害屈原的身体。这就是五月端阳包粽子的来历。

端午节还有许多有趣的活动。列如赛龙舟，挂香囊，香囊内有朱砂、雄黄、香药，外包以丝布，清香四溢，再以五色丝线弦扣成索，作各种不同形状，结成一串，形形色色，玲珑夺目。还有挂艾叶、菖蒲的习惯。

端午节的活动可真多啊!

过年了!过年了!你看!一个个红灯笼飞上了屋檐，一幅幅对联贴在了门两边，一声声爆竹响彻天地，一句句祝福口耳相传。终于，一年一度的春节在鞭炮声中，来到了我们的身边。

除夕那天的早晨，我们一家人都忙开了。我和爸爸在大门外贴春联，这幅春联在大红色背景的衬托下，上边的“努力拼搏，今朝汗洒书本;冲刺飞跃，明日笑映容颜。”这几个刚劲有力的黑色大字更加庄重、喜庆。这幅对联激励我在新的一年里，要努力学习，为明天交一个满意的答卷。春联的内容可多了，蕴含的意思也很多，有喜庆、财气、吉祥之意。这不正是预祝人们在新的一年里高高兴兴、快快乐乐、万事如意吗?所以，每逢过年，我都要跟着爸爸贴春联，难道这不是一件有意义的事情吗?

过了一会，爸爸又从家里拿了两个大红灯笼，挂在了家门口的屋檐下。我想，这大红灯笼不正预示了我们的祖国正在日新月异地飞速发展吗?

晚上，该吃年夜饭了，爸爸煮了一锅热气腾腾的饺子，我和妈妈、爷爷一起坐在沙发上吃香喷喷的饺子。除夕晚上吃饭的时候，最开心的就是看《春节晚会》了。我最喜欢看《春节晚会》了，因为不仅有搞笑的小品，有美轮美奂的舞蹈，还有令人陶醉的歌曲……看完后真是受益无穷!当《春节晚会》演出接近十二点时，全国人民和主持人朱军一起倒计时：“10、9、8、7、6、5、4、3、2、1”，此时，午夜的钟声敲响，新的一年终于在大家的期盼中来到了!爸爸说：“我们要放鞭炮庆祝新年的来到!”

听到“放鞭炮”三个字时，我立刻就来了精神，急忙从沙发上跳下来，迫不及待地拿起鞭炮，夺过爸爸嘴里叼的烟，立刻跑到大门外。大门外，各家各户都在放鞭炮，“噼里啪啦”响个不停，声音震耳欲聋，久久没有停息的迹象。由此可见，人们对新年的到来有多么开心呀!

我也不甘落后，急忙拿起烟头小心翼翼地去点鞭炮的炮捻儿，只听“哧—”的一声，炮捻儿被我点燃了，我赶快后退，还没有退多远，鞭炮就“噼里啪啦”地响起来。它像一条巨龙，似乎想飞上天，仿佛想向全世界的人民宣布：“新年来到了!”

是呀，新年来到了，美好的一年在大家的期盼中开始了!

Before I entered the middle school, I felt so worried about the life in

middle school, because my cousin told me that I would have to compete with so

many excellent students. Now I get used to the life, I learn many subjects from

Monday to Friday. Though I always meet the difficulties in learning the new

knowledge, I get help from my teachers and classmates. I am not afraid of the

middle school life again, I am so excited to learn new things every day. In the

future days, I will meet many challenges, I believe I can get over them. Life in

middle school has happiness and sorrow, they fulfill my life.

I had a joyful summer vacation. During the holidays, I traveled with my

families. We went to Beijing and stayed there for four days. We lived in the

hotel. It is very beautiful. We visited to the Tiananmen Square, the Imperial

Palace, the Summer Palace and the Old Summer Palace. We also went to the Great

Wall. The weather was very hot, but we were exciting. I like Beijing very much.

I hope I can go there
