Cheaper prices aside, easy access is another important factor. With such a large gathering of pirated upgrades around, who would bother to spend time and money searching the stores for an authorized yet outdated version?

Despite these apparent benefits, the practice of software piracy should be banned, because it represents unfair competition and by nature it’s a no-win situation. But how? Two approaches are to be taken at the same time: Technically, software developers should enhance their antipiracy engineering, so that cracking the software should be virtually impossible. And legally, the government should also tighten its antipiracy laws and toughen up the penalties, so that violations should be costly。

本周四，我们学校举行了期中考试。经过一段紧张的复习，现在终于考完了，我们也可以放松放松了。

语文呢，就更差了！只考了８１分，老师严厉地批评了我，说我有了明显的退步。拿到卷子时，一个个大大的红叉出现在我眼前。我简直呆如木鸡。我仔细看了看卷子，原来一大部分都是因为有错别字而扣了分。譬如说第二题要解释“迫不及待”这个成语中“待”字的意思，本来应该是“等待”，可我却糊里糊涂把“待”写成了“侍”，白白丢了分。还有一个错别字更让我恼火，那就是默写古诗《九月九日忆山东兄弟》当中的“遥知兄弟登高处，遍插茱萸少一人”时。我把“遍”写成了“便”，又丢了分。龙老师常说：“读书要扎实，要认真，不要敷衍塞责，粗心大意。”我却将她的话当成了耳边风。哎！我以后一定要把课文读得滚瓜烂熟。有闲余时间，还要多看课外书，多积累词语，这样才会让学习有很大的提高。

通过这次不理想的期中考试，我明白了一个深刻的道理：学习不努力，吃亏在眼前。不过，“失败是成功之母。”没有失败就不会有成功。我下次一定会努力学习，争取在下次考试中取得优异的成绩。

紧张的期中考试过去了，我的语文和数学成绩的结果都出来了。我对这次的语文考试信心满满，基础题我检查了好多遍了，应该是没有错误的。数学可使我忧心忡忡，有一题不会做，想了几遍都不会，就空在那里了。

终于数学试卷发下来了，仔细一看，错了好多题目，都是粗心大意造成的，应用题纠错了不会的那一题，我下次做题一定好细心，反复检查，有一道填空题是换算一下单位，我们全班同学都错了，仔细算一下非常简单，我非常后悔，世上哪有后悔药呢？语文试卷发下来后，我看了一下分数——95.5，以为自己考得挺好，但是看了看错的地方，心里真不是滋味，有一题是填拼音，一般这类题目我是不会错的，可是这一次我没有看清题目，上面用过一遍qiang了，下面还用了一遍，还是粗心造成的。

还有一题是默写课文内容，偏偏考试的哪一篇文章是不用背的，所以我就没背，可是这次考试居然考到了，这说明课本上的每一篇文章都有考到的可能性，尽量都背掉。认真一看错的题目，都是非常简单的题目。

我觉得这次考试给我最大的启示是：不能眼高手低，做事要仔细、认真，下次考试我一定要细心，考出一个我满意的成绩。

今天，我们开始了三年级的第一次期中考试。考前我一直在想：“试卷上的题我是都会做呢还是有的会有的不会呢？”

拿到数学卷子一看：“啊！卷子上的题我都会做！”这下我就放心了，大胆地去做题。“终于做完了！”心里暗暗地想。“收卷！”老师说着就把我们的卷子收走了。

第二科是语文，也是我最担心的。因为这学期每次考语文时，我总考九十六分或九十四分。发卷了，我一写完名字，就马上看第一题。一看题我就傻了眼，居然是我从来没做过的“听记题”。心想这可怎么办呢？老师开始读题了……到了最后一问，“南部非洲人为什么要养鸵鸟？”“怎么答呢？”我小声言语着。“算了！先空着吧！”我又开始做别的题。等所有的题都做完了，翻过来，我继续做这道题，想了半天也没想出来。“嗨！随便写个答案吧！”

最后一科是我最拿手的英语。卷子一发下来，我就赶快写“笔试部分”。“听力部分”的老师一来，就给我们读题，我听着老师说的英语写下了正确答案。

“哦……终于考完了，可以放松一下了！”

考试前我十分紧张，一直再翻书本，我知道这是没用的但还在翻阅书籍，以最快的速度看了一遍，准备迎接考试。第一个考的是语文，我快速的看了下题目，就答卷了。考完语文大家都在说：“ 语文真是太简单了，随便想一下就知道了，一点难度都没有。”我也这样认为,于是就这样没有在复习了。到了下午考英语，我心想：这是我最拿手的科目，一定可以拿到好成绩。就匆匆的答题，答到后面的短文时我去怎么看也看不懂，只能再多看几遍后在回答，可是看着看着越来越紧张，只能拿命来拼一下了。接下来到了数学，前面的我认为很简单，到了后面一题比一题难，特别是解决问题，几乎没有一题是我可以马上写出来的，我都是思考了好久才想出来了。后来与同学们一讨论解决问题错了一大堆。

考完试后我心中忐忑不安，心里想着会不会被爸妈骂的“狗血淋头”啊！心中更是不安，之后老师发了语文和英语的试卷，都不错八十几分，可是中午时数学老师对我说了我的成绩非常差，在这样下去是不可能进中学的。我的心里十分的难过在检讨着自己。

回到家后，爸妈一直在问我的成绩，我心里十分紧张不知道该怎么跟他们说。之后在他们的眼神下我如实交代了我的成绩，他们一直在哪教导我下次要努力，不能再像这次一样了。并且不要让我令他们很失望，我虽然听进去了但还是会难过。

为什么只有考好了才能得到鼓励，而考坏了迎来的只有这种待遇。我们已经很难过了，为什么还要这样伤害我们幼小的心灵呢？

今天是元旦放假的第二天，可是在学校里面就感觉似乎已经寒假了，整个学校在饭点也看不见几个人在流动，好像比起昨天人更加少了！

期末考试即将来临，可是还是有很多的人回家去了，我很不赞同其观点，我的家距离学校也不远，坐火车一个半小时，不过下火车以后就需要做公交车回家，这也不需要花费大量时间，可是我并没有选择回家，也没有选择到处溜达，而是整天待在宿舍里看书复习！

我们努力学习一个学期就是为了期末这几天时间，可是很多人在这个时候不复习，那么就会又一次不及格，可是我却发现这些人似乎根本就不担心，回家复习与宿舍里差一个档次，宿舍里复习比起自习室差一个档次，这是我这几天的经验！

不过在家里依旧可以努力，只不过需要一个人有极大的毅力与安静的环境，因为在家里有很多事情会干扰我们，所以很多时候我们没有想象中的收获！然而这也是在于一个人，有的人在学校里也是整天玩游戏，根本就不复习，还不如回家住几天，这也是废话了！

期中考试过后，又进入一个新的学习阶段，但语文考试给我的教训却要成为一个激励我前行的事例，不能忘记。

基础丢了许多分。我的字平时还行，但是放到田字格中却不能一笔一划地书写，导致我的字因为不规范扣了分，这让我认识到无论做简单题还是难题都要本着一丝不苟的态度，这不是实力问题，而是态度问题。我的文言文做的也一般，虽然都是课外文言文扣得分，但这并不是借口，因为这些考点都可以用课内知识来解决，这反映出我的迁移能力不强，并且课外阅读量少得可怜，以后要重视每一篇文言文的学习，并尽可能地拓展，不至于在考场上慌了神。

其次阅读虽然扣分最少，却也有问题。首先语言表述分暂且不说，就单拿出一道意义题来说，虽然认出题型，找到方法，写上采分点，却最后因为方法混淆扣了分。很显然，归根结底，还是技法没有滚瓜烂熟，没有做到题法对应，要再下点功夫背技法，其重要性不容小视。

语文考试的启示给了我许多，目的不在于后悔和自责，而在于前进和拼搏。

转眼就半个学期了，这次期中考试很不理想，我以为我能考好，结果却考得不好。 我考试的时候太马虎了，语文卷子有一题本来都会做的。就是因为马虎了，一分都没有得到，数学也是，有些题我明明能做的，但就是因为我的马虎和磨蹭错失了很多分，我自己感到很惭愧，付出才有收获，我就是因为自己平常不努力，所以才考不出好成绩，看到身边的同学们每个人都在进步，我也下定决心，向他们学习，争取每天都有进步！ 虽然这次没有考好，期末考试我一定努力争取考出好成绩！

During the winter holiday, I was very happy because of the Chinese new year

and other reasons. During the holiday, my parents and I went back to my hometown

in the countryside in Hebei Province. I had not come back for several years, so

that I was so surprised to find that great changes had taken place in this small

village in the past years. Almost every family in the village had color TV set

and some of them had computers. Many families had their houses newly built or

rebuilt. Previously,could be seen everywhere, but now they have taken on an

entirely newlook. Motorcycles or even private cars are not luxuries any

more.

One of the villagers proudly told me that he and some other villagers were

going to join a tour and travel abroad. Previously, the villagers were busy in

their farm work all the year round, but now they have much more time and money

to relax or entertain. Traveling has become a new trend among villagers. Seeing

these amazing changes, my father said that he would go back to my hometown as

soon as he retired. As for me, I strongly supported his idea.

A new term has just began. Needless to say, there will be more work.

Studying at Imperial college is enjoyable, discussing questions with fellow classmates is one of the best time I have in Uni. Im sure there are more opportunities of this kind in the coming term.

Work hard, and play hard! ( All of a sudden, I am such a workaholic within, and I have never felt that way before )

Nowadays, we can often hear the discussion whether buying cars should be encouraged. Some people suggest that we should buy cars. But others claim that driving cars is not a wise idea. As far as I am concerned, I am in favor of the latter opinion.

To begin with, there are few parking lots, so the streets are made narrower by the cars parked along the roads. For example, my father could not find any places to park when we went to the supermarket.

Moreover, many drivers do not obey regulations, because people do not pay enough attention to the rule of traffic. For instance, I often see people cross the road when the traffic lights are still red.

Last but not least, the growth of new roads’ construction is usually slower than the increasing number of cars. For example, the length of the road has gone up by 20% in 2002. However, the number of cars increased by 50% in the meantime.

From what has been discussed above, we could draw a conclusion that encouraging buying cars is not fit for today.

This term Ill be a middle school student, so I think the ways of study will be quite different.

Well begun is half done. Firstly I will prepare for my lessons before class. Secondly, if I have any problems about study, I will ask my teacher for help. I wont leave them till the next day. Thirdly, I will finish my homework by myself.

Im sure if I can do these, I will make more progress than before.

时间如滴滴答答的流水，如颗粒分明的沙，在不觉中飞速溜走。初中生活已逝去两个月，我们在这两个月中有欢喜，快乐，愤怒，泪水，也经历了迈入初中的第一个大考——期中考试。

这次考试虽然考了501分，但是对于这次我的名次从入学时全班第一，到这次全班第四，下降了整整三个名次。全校排到了三十名开外。这无疑是巨大的落差。

回顾以前的学习状态，上课时交头接耳，做个小动作，这都是常事。作业方面做得也不好，涂改太多，不认真是学习下降的原因，而且以前所有作业都写的我，居然会偶尔有一科不写。

这些我总结出了一点便是——骄傲自大。从开学时考了全班第一，以为自己学习很好，什么都学得会，便骄傲起来。接着几次考试也都考得不错便觉得自己高人一等，便开始不努力了。每天说个话，做点小动作，上课睡觉，导致了今天的下场。

我决定今后要在课堂上认真听讲，学出50分钟的效果。课后认真完成作业，我也不灰心。我们要正确看待考试，把考试看做一次找学习上漏洞的好时机，发现后及时填补上。而且我要把考试看作冲向成功的跳板，爬上山峰的梯子。未来几千次考试，我们不求每一次考好，但要每一次都能找到自身弱点，并努力。正所谓在生活中积累成功，不努力，不见风雨怎会见彩虹。在下一次的期末考试中，努力摘取“第一”

这一次考试为我敲响看警钟，也提前为我打上看预防针。一次失败算不了什么，失败是成功前兆，我们正向着目标努力奋斗。

A teacher helped Helen study words. Helen studied them very hard when she GREw up. She went to college. In Helen Keller’s life, she wrote fourteen books and her first book is My Life. The book If you give me three days light is very famous.
