During the winter holiday, I was very happy because of the Chinese new year

and other reasons. During the holiday, my parents and I went back to my hometown

in the countryside in Hebei Province. I had not come back for several years, so

that I was so surprised to find that great changes had taken place in this small

village in the past years. Almost every family in the village had color TV set

and some of them had computers. Many families had their houses newly built or

rebuilt. Previously,could be seen everywhere, but now they have taken on an

entirely newlook. Motorcycles or even private cars are not luxuries any

more.

One of the villagers proudly told me that he and some other villagers were

going to join a tour and travel abroad. Previously, the villagers were busy in

their farm work all the year round, but now they have much more time and money

to relax or entertain. Traveling has become a new trend among villagers. Seeing

these amazing changes, my father said that he would go back to my hometown as

soon as he retired. As for me, I strongly supported his idea.

“好嘞！”老板微笑着应道。

好友笑眯眯地抱起桌上的《读者》，一脸感动地说：“不错，进了实验中学，也没忘我这个‘北师大’的。”“怎么会？我们是死党。”我拉了拉她肉乎乎的手，夏日的烦躁情绪一扫而光。

一朵白云飘过，将炙热的阳光挡掉了些许。大笨猫滔滔不绝地说着这一学期的新鲜事，她双手挥舞，脸也因兴奋而涨得通红。看着她的样子，我不禁笑出了声。小学毕业之后，我交了很多新朋友，但都不像她那样活泼坦率。“还记得吗？一到夏天我们就经常来这里喝奶茶，这儿的奶茶好喝，老板也特别亲切，我最喜欢这家奶茶店了，从里到外都流露出温暖的气息。”她眯起眼，似乎想起了什么。，是啊，这家奶茶店就是我们的聚集地。玻璃门挡住了屋外的炎热，加了冰块的奶茶让我们心情倍感清爽。在这清凉的小屋里，我们常为了一道数学题争论不休，最后谁输谁就请客；生意不忙的时候，老板也加入我们的讨论之中；每当调制了新品奶茶，他总是第一时间让我们免费品尝；有一次，我们没顾及衣兜里钱的数额，拼命地点东西喝，结果付钱的时候钱不够，老板大大方方地给我们打了八折……转眼我们都上初二了，真是逝者如斯啊！

My home town is a beautiful place. It stands beside a wide river and is rich in fish and rice.

Both men and women there like wearing silver ornaments, which look very mysterious and full of magical power. And they are good at singing and dancing, and the men there can have braids too. When they meet an important guest, they will present him or her a Hada, a piece of long white silk cloth to show their respect. And they will also treat the guest to a special kind of drink called Suyou Tea, which some people find hard to enjoy.

Besides, the habitants have developed both their own written and spoken languages, and the long poems they wrote play an important role in Chinese literature. And there are many well-protected culture relics as well, taking the grand Budala Palace as an example. It is a historical museum as well as an art treasury, where people can share their spirit belief in Buddhism and get artistic entertainment of the carved paintings and the beautifully-written chirographies.

The Tibetan ethnic group is also famous for its strange custom in funeral. Thinking that the soul belongs to the sky after a person dies, they usually put the body on a platform outdoors, spray on it and wait the condors to come to eat the body. In this way, they believe the soul goes up to the sky.

The Tibetan Minority is brimming over with deep emotions. The people there are very zealous and hospitable and they live freely and happily on the spacious grassland. Their history and culture contribute to the diversity of China, so we certainly should protect them and get them popularized and let them receive great respect they deserve.

It’s normal that we all have our own interests and it’s various from people to people. Some people may be interested in sports and some others in music or literature. In short, it’s good for us to have our own interests or hobbies and it means a lot. For one thing, having some interests can bring us a sense of belonging, for it’s your own thing and no one can carry off from you. For another, interest is our best teacher. If you like something, you have the desire to go deep to it. Last, developing interest is a good way to make friends with who have something in common. You can share and be shared, which is an inspiring process and experience.

There are four key points to study English: listening, speaking, reading

and writing.

Firstly, we should be brave to talk with others in English. By doing this,

we can improve ore talking and listening skill.

Secondly, we should try to listen to all kinds of English programmes as

much as possible. In this way, we can gradually improve our pronunciation.

Thirdly, we should often read English books. When we come across a new

word. We should guess its meaning through the contest first. Then look it up in

the dictionary to have a check. I thin,, it is a good way of reading.

Fourthly, we should practice our writing skills. Whenever we have any idea,

we should get the pen and write it down at once. It is very important to avoid

writing in Chinese way and using the Chinese grammar.

As long as we listen, speak, read and write more, we are sure to make

In recent years, thousands and thousands of people leave the comforts of their homes to study in countries such as united states,Canada,England and so on. Whats more, more and more people study abroad become younger. Why do they do it? The problem is worthy of serious consideration.

Everything has tow sides. Not only has the advantages but also has disadvantages, including studying abroad. Todays students lack of lief experience,live a long time in foreign country, the kind of homesickness and persistent loneliness, not everyone can handle! On the other hand,study abroad is expensive.A lot of families do not have this ability. Its difficult to adapt to the local customs and hard to commuication with other People. So I think that when students have a Strong physique, positive attitude and good ability to adapt, they can consider to study abroad.

As we know,There is denying that there are many advantages in study abroad . In my opinion.For some wealthy families, they can afford the expensive in foreign countries.Due to the rapid development of economy in recent years, more People study abroad has became an inevtable trend.

If I have the chance to go abroad to study, I want to go to USA. First of all.I Will learn the local language,so that i can solve the language barrier. Then, I Will choose the computer professional.I must be hardworking,because my goal is to get a masters degree. Then, IWill work for a few yeas after I graduate.It can help me to accumulate experience, and then,I Will go to the famous city Silicon Valley of America to apply for a technical staff. But I cant stay in a foreign countries all the time. In order to serve the motherland,i Will return to our ”Big House" when I become a good technical personnel. I believe that many People dream to study abroad. I am no exception! There are many good things waiting for us to discover in the world ! So I want to go abroad. In my opinion, the schoolwork now being assigned to high school students is

too heavy. While it is true that students need to study, they need other things

as well if they are to grow into healthy and well-rounded adults. High should be

allowed more time for play. Plying is not wasting time, as some think. It gives

them physical exercise, and also exercise their imagination. Which tends to be

stifled by too much study. Finally, the pressure put on high school students by

excessive schoolwork can cause serious stress, which is unhealthy physically and

mentally. I do not advocate the elimination of schoolwork. I do think, however,

that a reduction of the current heavy load would be beneficial to students and

“Growing Pains” seems full of knowledge and experience. So it does because

all of us have growing pains and also growing gains in our lives.

Growing up is not a very enjoyable time. It means I have to work hard in

studying and in family. Theres always so much homework given by teachers and so

many arguments between the parents and me. The time is fair, but it seems it

gives pains three quarters and only one quarter to gains.

But gains give me power and confidence. Successes and friendship make me

happy and enjoyable. We played with snow in the winter that seldom snows, we

flew kites in the night that usually belongs to homework, we ate several ice

creams that almost made us cold. We picked up leaven that no longer high up!

Although pains are always more than gains, I believe both of them make my

life more colorful
