我们如果看见有人破坏环境，应该上前阻止，我们不单单是个人保护环境，我们也应该告诉他人，让他们也能够醒悟过来，明白保护环境的重要性。

有时候，周围的环境也会对你的身体不利，所以，有些人就会选择到山里去住，因为，那里清净，而且又没有污染，吃的东西也没有打农药，营养价值非常高。

我们家园的水环境没有得到保护和改善，黑水沟、臭水沟呈增多趋势，多条主要河流水质受到严重污染，河水发黑、混浊，一到夏天河水便发出阵阵恶臭让人呼吸难受，这与建设生态、现代、和谐的生活极其不相符合，值得我们深思。究其原因，有管理不到位的因素，有治理不彻底的因素，还有一个因素不能忽视，那就是我们的水环境保护意识不高，没有养成良好的节水、用水、保护水的习惯。

看看那些在河沟中漂浮的垃圾；看看那些我们使用过的肆意横流并直接排向河道的污水；看看那些河边一个个正在排放污水的管道，你就知道我们的行为正在给河流带来多大的污染。要知道我们每浪费一滴水，每扔一片垃圾，多用的一点洗衣粉，排向河流或管道的每一杯污水，都可能造成十倍甚者百倍的水体污染。

为了保护环境，我们应该做到：

一、 做节约用水的模范。洗澡、洗衣、洗碗等日常生活用水应尽量少用，一水多用，不让清水白流，浪费水源。比如，用洗衣、洗菜的水冲洗厕所。

二、 做保护水资源的模范。自觉遵守环保法律规范，不乱扔垃圾、不乱倒污水、不用含磷等化学洗涤剂，不在自然水体中大小便或洗涤任何赃物。

三、 做参与环保的模范。自觉宣传环保的政策法规，对污染环境的行为用于劝阻和制止，带领家人、亲友、邻里，以及其他不认识的人一起养成良好的用水习惯。

当然，环保不仅仅是节约用水，还有其他的环保方式，需要我们去探索、执行、保护。

1、作为现实生活中的每一个普通人，虽然不可能都直接从事环保工作，但我们完全可以从小事做起，从我做起。当看到洗手间的水龙头在滴水，看到房间里开着无人灯，无人扇时，是不是能够及时关上呢？当电池用完后能否分类收藏处理而不是随手扔掉呢？当购物时能否自觉不使用超薄塑料袋呢？……一件件小事虽然都很不起眼，但却体现我们究竟具备了多少环保意识。

2、指出破坏环境的行为。如果同学们看到有人对环境加以破坏、浪费资源，应该及时告诉他，帮助他改正错误。假如遇到了同学们不能处理的情况，可以向老师或领导汇报，和大家一起制止这种行为。

3、在合适的地方摆放标语。在公园里，草地上的标语写着“足下留情，春意更浓”，让人会心一笑，绕道而行；在水池前，一句“拧紧水龙头，只需一秒钟”令人不由自主地关紧了水龙头……我建议同学们多多设计环保标语，时刻提醒他人要保护环境，珍惜资源，让周围的人也加入环保的行列。

4、多多参加公益活动。如今，各小区和街道都举办了环保活动，同学们一定要踊跃参加，为环保事业做一些力所能及的事：打扫街道卫生、在郊外植树等等。

随着科技发展，越来越多的机器被发明出来成为人们代步的工具，其中汽车尤为居多。原本车只是作为人们代步，提供便利的工具，如今却成了财富的象征，于是家家户户都会想买一辆属于自己的私家车。随着私家车的逐渐增加也给交通带来了不便，大街小巷总会因为林林总总的事故导致道路拥堵。各种飞驰的汽车排放出大量的汽车尾气给大自然增添了巨大的负担。

汽车尾气以及工厂污染排放等导致全球气候变暖，最明显的变化当属南极北极。由于气候的变化，诸多冰山融化，导致动物们不得不离开自己的家园。动物们离开后由于不能适应那里的环境导致了他们大量的死亡，部分动物种族灭绝。一些南、北极的动物来到人类活动的地区，不得不以人类的食物残渣作为食物。

面对这些危害，我们应为保护环境尽一份自己的绵薄之力，加大保护环境的力度，节约用水用电、看到工厂不合格排放污水，废气等及时进行举报，出行时尽量坐公交车，少开私家车。

从前的时候，家乡的小河清澈见底，小鱼儿成群，快乐并自由自在的游玩。

现在家乡小河里的水变得浑浊不见底，可爱的小鱼儿也不见了，是怎么回事？

现在的人们，因为物质条件逐渐变好，却变得越来越不珍惜环境了，我先不说别的，就拿水资源来说吧，现在的河，浑浊、脏乱，还有着阵阵恶臭，听老一辈的人说，小河以前是多么的干净，清澈见底，鱼肥虾美，那时得小河，是人见人爱，人见人夸，现在的，每个人见到这条小河就会被其中的臭气逼的退避三尺，这一切都是因为我们的环保意识不好，才会有这种情况，因为人们老将生活垃圾往小河里丢，仅仅图得就是一个方便，工厂里没用的工业废水，全部都是往河里排······

小河的污染而且还会影响在河边生长得人家一定是受害最深得。你想想，河边的人家，固然是靠打捞河中得鱼虾过生活，你们再想想，他们打捞得鱼虾再来卖给我们，我们吃了在污水中成长得鱼虾过后，会有什么后果，打鱼得人自己吃了这些鱼之后会有影响，还有什么后果，现在很多人生下来的孩子缺胳膊少腿的事常有，其中有很大关系是因为水源问题哥食物得问题，还有世界各地有许许多多有关食物中毒事件得报道，有关鱼类得高达百分之七十以上，我以前读过一篇，内容大约是这样的：有一帮人到中国旅游，一路上，外国人千叮万嘱地说千万不能乱吃中国得鱼虾之类得水产和食物，结果一路上外国人平平安安，一点事也没有，后来，另一个旅游团队约三百多个留学生因为乱吃东西食物中毒而住院，记者还在报纸上报道了这件事。

这件事说明我国得环保意识还很差，还没有明白水资源污染对我们得危害，所以，我们应当爱护水资源，保护我们赖以生存的地球。

有这样一则新闻引起了我的注意：众所周知，黄河，是世世代代中华人民的“摇篮”。可是，据统计，黄河在2000年来竟决口1500多次，改道26次。到底为什会出现这种情况呢?说来有趣，黄河在前1000年至前10000年来，黄河的自然条件是黄土高原最好的，正因为如此，我们的祖先才选择在这里生存。但现在，黄河变得凶猛起来，成了中华人民的一个烦。近年来，黄河含沙量大幅度提高。至于为什么会出现这种情况，专家给出以下说法：随着人口增多，人们过度砍伐树木和过度放牧，导致黄河失去了天然的保护层，进入河中的沙石越来越多，最终黄河成为中国十大危险河流之一。

这些都说明保护环境极其重要!为了我们的子孙后代能更好的在地球上繁衍生息，让我们携起手来共同保护环境，共同保护我们的地球家园!从我做起!从今天做起!

To begin with, modern lifestyle has contributed greatly to the increasing amount of waste and garbage we produce everyday. In other words, we have turned into a materialistic and mass-consumption society where we use more and throw away more than ever before. Moreover, countries are running out of space to store garbage and waste material. In fact, securing land for waste disposal raises controversies in many countries.

To solve this intractable problem, every citizen needs to participate in producing less garbage. For example, we can bring our own personal shopping bags instead of using plastic bags provided by stores and shops. Besides, the government can enforce stricter laws on companies to use biodegradable packaging or use recycled material. Indeed, this alone can eliminate much of the waste which is sent to at land fills.
