They wrapped(包) rice in bamboo leaves(粽叶), and stuffed(填满) it with ham, beans, bean paste(豆沙), salted egg yokes, sausages, nuts, and/or vegetables.

Ancient folk medicines(民间药物) such as realgar(雄黄酒)are added to the food eaten on the Festival day. This is believed to prevent disease and to promote a healthy digestive system(消化器官). The drinking of realgar in wine supposedly relieves(解除) the effects of poisons accumulated in human bodies.

The sachets (Hsiang Pao in Chinese香包) are very popular with children and they vie(竞争) with each other to collect as many as possible. Children are not the only ones who collect Hsiang Pao. In our China, every household has to celebrate the Spring Festival in both urban and rural areas.

On the eve of the New Year, my mother took me to the market to buy New Years goods. There are a lot of people in the market. My mother and I bought a lot of New Years goods including melon seeds, peanuts, chickens, ducks, fish, meat, ham, cola and all kinds of famous tobacco. We also bought a lot of fireworks. Haha, we are so happy. At home, my mother swept the floor, my father wiped the floor, and my brother put the Spring Festival couplets on it. The Spring Festival couplets are written to congratulate you on your fortune and good luck. The sister posted the window flowers. My mother even brushed the wall white for the Spring Festival. 2018年的第一天，寒风习习，有点冷，但是我很快乐。

早晨，妈妈叫我起床，问：”今日是元旦，你想去哪里玩？“我不假思索的说：”当然是去新华书店了。“

到了新华书店，我马上跑向二楼接着看我最喜欢的书——《笑猫日记》。到二楼一看，哇噻！今日的人好多，可能因为今日是元旦吧，大家都想到一块儿去了。我也立刻津津有味的看起来，看得非常入迷，忘记了时间，在书中找到了快乐，发自内心的快乐。

大约2：00钟时，才觉得肚子有点饿，和妈妈一起来到了小吃街。在街中间我看到有卖铁板鲤鱼的，那可是我最爱吃的。我就买了8串，然后吃了一碗米线。吃的好美，现在还能闻到铁板鲤鱼的味道，好香！

难道说我今日还不快乐吗？做了自己最愿意做的事，吃了自己最爱吃的东西。2010年的第一天，真的好快乐！

春节有很多让人高兴的事情。最让我高兴的就是我和表弟去楼下放鞭炮。

记得大年三十的晚上，我们吃完团圆饭，我和表弟像飞一样地跑了下去，到了小花园中，我就琢磨着怎样更好玩。终于，我们想出了一个好主意，表弟用一根铁棒将土挖开，然后，我将一个点燃的“地雷”扔了进去，表弟快速地把土埋上。然后，我们就躲到一棵大树后面，等我们还未完侍藏好，只听见后面“嘭！”的一声巨响，我和表弟身上都有是泥，我们先是吓得一怔，然后被彼此的模样乐地“哈哈”大笑。就这样一次，两次，三次……，一直到我们手中的炮放完，而我们也变成“泥娃娃”了，才停下来。接着，我们又放了冲天炮，老鼠炮……。我们最喜欢的是老鼠炮，它飞出去的时候还“吱吱”地发出声响。就像是在说：“我要上天！我要上天？笨砂？痔云？

在新年的钟声就要敲响之际，黑暗的天空中开始到处燃放起了烟火，看那五彩缤纷的烟花在夜色中像一朵朵鲜花竞相绽放，我和表弟都兴奋得在那里大喊大叫了起来……

春节，是孩子们玩的日子，还是大人们访亲探友的日子。妈妈带着我走东家、窜西家，与亲朋好友渡过了不少美好的时光。

春节，多么令人难忘啊！
