On the one hand, 相应的法律就应被制定by政府。On the other hand,

As the developing of Chinese economy, the problem of protecting environment is being more and more important。 It is a crucial responsibility for us。 If we let this situation go as it is, it would be almost not a health earth for our offspring。 It sounds an alarm to us that we should execute the steps of protecting environment quickly。 Recently, a large number of problems appeared obviously, the security of food, the acid rain, the lack of water, the worse weather, all of all, it is the problem of environment in the final analysis。 The development of society should be the basic of protecting environment, we ought to protect environment by newer technology。 Meanwhile, the protecting environment should play an important role in the development of society。 Accordingly, I argue that we should protect environment in two aspects。 On the one hand, the related laws should be established by government。 On the other hand, the consciousness of protecting environment ought to be publicized in public。 I have an unshakable believe that if we put the problem of protecting environment be the first place, our society would have been developing fast and healthily。

After reading this wonderful story, I can feel love, brave, deep friendship and some other good spirits in the people.

The Scarecrow wanted some brains, but on the way to the Emerald City, he thought out of a way to cross the river. The Cowardly Lion wanted to be brave, but when they met the river, he carried other friends to jump across it. And the Tin Man wanted a heart, he said he couldn’t love, but he didn’t want to hurt any animal.

In fact, they all have the things they want: the Scarecrow is clever, the Cowardly Lion is brave and the Tin Man is kind-hearted.

This book tells us a story of how a little girl Dorothy goes back to her hometown when she is in another strange city. Dorothy is a little girl who lived with her aunt and uncle in Kansas. The weather there is very bad, sometimes there was a cyclone. When a cyclone came, people stayed under their houses. But one day a cyclone blows Dorothy’s house, with Dorothy and her dog Toto in it, to a country called Oz. In that city there are four witches and a very famous wizard—the Wizard of Oz. And Dorothy’s house just fell on the bad Witch of the East and killed her, so the people there were very happy. Dorothy took the witch’s red shoes and wore them. She wanted to go home to Kansas but she doesn’t know how to get there. So the Witch of North told her to go to the Emerald City to find the Wizard of Oz to help her. Then Dorothy met the Scarecrow, the Tin Man, and the Cowardly Lion, but they need help too. The Scarecrow wanted some brains, the Tin Man wanted a heard, and the Cowardly Lion wanted to be brave. So they all take the yellow brick road to the Emerald City. On the way to the Emerald City they met some difficulties, but they solved them successfully. After they met the Wizard of Oz, the wizard gave them another challenge—to kill the bad Witch of the West and they accept. During the way to the Witch of the West’s house, they were caught by the witch and Dorothy was requested to work for her. One day, when the witch tried to catch Dorothy’s red shoes, Dorothy threw some water on the witch by accident and the Witch of the West disappeared. Only water can kill her. So Dorothy went back to the Emerald City with her friends but they found the Wizard of Oz is not a real wizard, he is also a man came from Kansas, and he is just a conjurer. He wanted to go back to Kansas too. So he made a big balloon and prepared to go. But when the balloon is going to raise, Dorothy’s dog Toto jumped away to run after a cat, so Dorothy had to get Toto back and they were left in Oz. Then Dorothy and Toto went and find the Witch of the South and the witch told them they can just use the red shoes on Dorothy’s feet, they’re a pair of magic shoes, they could take anybody go back to their home as soon as she said‘East, west—home is the best!’After Dorothy said goodbye to her friends, she went back to her new home with her dog. It’s really a wonderful risk.

Yes, no matter where we are, home is always the best place for us to rest or study. There are our parents here; there are also our favorite things here. At home, we feel safe, we feel comfortable, and we can relax ourselves.

From this story, we can see Dorothy is a brave and kind-hearted girl. She killed the two bad witches in Oz; she helped the Scarecrow, the Tin Man, and the Cowardly Lion to go to the Emerald City to find the Wizard and get what they want. She solved problems when they met difficulties. It’s really not easy for such a little girl.

We also learn that teamwork is important for us. When we are in trouble, we can ask our friends for help, and also, when our friends need help, we should go and help them. Just remember, more people, more power. It’s always better has more people to do a thing. Teamwork is really necessary in our lives.

And we can see the Scarecrow is absolutely cleaver, he understands things, he can think, he learn quickly, and he suggested Dorothy to cut down a tree to cross the river. The tin man has a kind heart, he laughs, he cries, he loves, he feels sorry for people. The Cowardly Lion is really brave, he did a lot of brave things, he carried the friends to go across the river, and he wanted to find some food for his friends and so on. We should learn from them too. When we are in trouble, we should calm down, watch the things around carefully, and try to think out of a way to solve it, just like the Scarecrow. We also should be brave as we are in danger, we can’t be afraid, we should face the difficulty and try to go through it, just like the Cowardly Lion. And we should learn to love people, to feel sorry for people, to make more friends, to get on well with everyone around us, just like the Tin Man.

Yes, we should learn how to get on with other people, we should help each other, we should be brave, we should love other people. If we can do like this, we can be a better girl (boy), more and more people will make friends with us, and more and more people will like us!

When I first saw one of the works of Jonathan swift, gullivers travels, I thought it was like "lubin sun Crusoe adventure novels, but when I opened the book and read the preface of the book part just know, originally this is a full of fairy tale satire novel. But the novels fairy tale color only on the surface of the local characteristics, sharp deep irony is its soul.

After watching the gullivers travels, we have to look at yourself, see if our body is the worst ills of shadow, and see if we like the authors describe the hu.

Although our society dont like the British decline, but were not much better. Petty theft, throw litter and vandalism, are everywhere around us. Murder and arson drug smuggling, brutal crazy. We often see on TV, are not surprising. So a muddy society, to clarify what we make. Now although we may not do anything with a bang, but at least we can do what we can do it. Even picked up a piece of trash, head down and lifted the old man across the road, on the bus seat... This is all we lift a finger.

After I read this book, I sighed deeply. I hope we can in our society, be like hui from country society. I would like to pay, starts from me, starts from the minor matter, starts from now, make the society a little more sunshine, a little less dark.

This is the gist of the story.Pig Wilbur and the spider Charlotte live in so perfect accord with each other that they built sincere friendship. However, a bad news came like a bolt from the blue: Wilbur will be killed on the Christmas day! "You never die, Ill save you!"by Charlotte when Wilbur was wailing "I dont want to die!" To fulfill her promise, Charlotte devoted all her lifetime and asked no rewards, until the moment she died.

After I had read the book,I was in contemplative mood. Only leaving the selfless love and pure kindness,Charlottes own time was at an end. When this sort of emotion has already been lacked seriously in contemporary society, this story undoubtedly moves the readers.

According to my point,we need such kind of friendship in our life,so we must learn from Charlotte. As they old saying goes”A friend in need is a friend in deed”。We should help our friends as much as we could when they needed. Let us go into action, let the world become especially fine.

According to most analyses, The Catcher in the Rye is a bildungsroman, a novel about a young character’s growth into maturity. While it is appropriate to discuss the novel in such terms, Holden Caulfield is an unusual protagonist for a bildungsroman because his central goal is to resist the process of maturity itself. As his thoughts about the Museum of Natural History demonstrate, Holden fears change and is overwhelmed by complexity. He wants everything to be easily understandable and eternally fixed, like the statues of Eskimos and Indians in the museum. He is frightened because he is guilty of the sins he criticizes in others, and because he can’t understand everything around him. But he refuses to acknowledge this fear, expressing it only in a few instances—for example, when he talks about sex and admits that “[s]ex is something I just don’t understand. I swear to God I don’t” (Chapter 9).

Instead of acknowledging that adulthood scares and mystifies him, Holden invents a fantasy that adulthood is a world of superficiality and hypocrisy (“phoniness”), while childhood is a world of innocence, curiosity, and honesty. Nothing reveals his image of these two worlds better than his fantasy about the catcher in the rye: he imagines childhood as an idyllic field of rye in which children romp and play; adulthood, for the children of this world, is equivalent to death—a fatal fall over the edge of a cliff. His created understandings of childhood and adulthood allow Holden to cut himself off from the world by covering himself with a protective armor of cynicism. But as the book progresses, Holden’s experiences, particularly his encounters with Mr. Antolini and Phoebe, reveal the shallowness of his conceptions.

the Little Prince – A Tale of Love and Life Title: the Little Prince Author: Antoine de St-Exupery Main Characters: the little prince, the pilot, the rose, the fox, the snake, etc. Despite I’ve not in my childhood yet, I still prefer reading fairy-tale stories. the tales, which accompany with me in my old days, often make me think of some precious experience and sensation which only belong to children. This summer I’ve review this kind of tale, which was published in 1940. It’s the world-famous fairy-tale by the French author, Antoine de St-Exupery, The Little Prince. As many other fairy-tales, the outline of The Little Prince is not very complex. “I”, the narrator of the story, is a pilot whose plane has something wrong and lands in the Sahara. In this occasion, the pilot makes the acquaintance of the little prince, a little boy from another planet, the Asteroid B612. The little prince has escaped from his tiny planet, because he has some quarrel with a rose, which grows on his planet. In that case he left his own planet and took an exploration at some neighbor asteroids. On his all-alone journey, the little prince meets different kinds of people, which includes a king, a conceited man, a tippler, a businessman, a lamplighter and a geographer. From these people he gets a conclusion that the grown-ups are very odd. Following the instruction of the geographer, he descends in the Sahara, on the earth. Traveling on the earth, the little prince, who sees a garden of five-thousand roses, is overcome with astonishment and sadness, as he considers his rose is unique in the universe before. At that time a fox appears. The fox, who tell the little prince about the meaning of the word “tame”, becomes his new friend. At the time to say farewell, the fox makes him know that his rose is unique because she is his rose and tamed by him. From that the little prince begins to treasure friendship and be responsible to his rose. At the anniversary day of his descent of the earth, rejecting the pilot’s advice, he goes back to his own planet by bite of a snake. “It’s too far. I can not carry this body with me. It’s too heavy.” he said. He tells his friend, the pilot, he must be responsible for his rose, so he has to go back. At the end the author doesn’t tell us the ending directly.

The success of Milton’s Paradise Lost owes much to the depiction of the main epicimage of Satan whose attributes enable him to achieve tragic status. Although Satan may be an epic machine, he is best portrayed as the tragic anti-hero of paradise Lost. The critics in the world have been concerning the image of Satan in Paradise Lost, whose complexity makes the poem more controversial. The reason why the image under Milton’s pen is so complex is that the Satan attracts the poet’s inner force, which drives him to change the people’s traditional ideas and cause resonance of all the revolutionaries.

Satan in the Bible is an image of devil. But in Paradise Lost, Satan challenges the authority of God and want to be free, he is a fighter for freedom. The poet portrayed Satan as a brave hero that went to get rid of god’s domination. In Paradise Lost, the Satan was the most successful image the author shaped. The allure of free will is where the attractiveness and power of Satan"s character lies. Stanley Fish in his essay, ‘The Harassed Reader in Paradise Lost, argues that Satan possesses a form of heroism which is easy to admire because it is visible and flamboyant and that, on that basis, Satan’s attractiveness is only initial. Milton was, undoubtedly, conscious that he was in danger of portraying Satan as too much of a heroic figure and made efforts to be little him through the use of unflattering imagery, and by highlighting his less complimentary characteristics.

Nonetheless, our emotions are still fired. Our first encounter with Satan and his rebel hosts occurs in Book I, when they are recovering from the shock of having been expelled from heaven by the Son after three days of fighting the angels of God. Despite the defeat he has suffered, Satan gains our admiration by displaying resilience in quickly coming to terms with the change in his circumstances, in remustering his forces and organizing the building of his palace, Pandemonium. At the same time he demonstrates his determination not to be defeated and shows true qualities of leadership, persuasively arguing that there is still hope for battle and victory. Satan is convincing in his first speech to Beelzebub, his chief partner in crime, as he declares: What though the field be lost? All is not lost; the unconquerable will, And study of revenge, immortal hate, And courage never to submit or yield: And what is else not to be overcome? That glory never shall his wrath or might Extort from me. Although Satan may be an epic machine, he is best portrayed as the tragic anti-hero of Paradise Lost or, at the very least, a main character who possesses the stature and attributes which enable him to achieve tragic status. In the Greek tradition, the essential components of tragedy are admiration, fear and pity for the ‘hero’, who has to display a tragic weakness or flaw in his character, which will lead to his downfall. It might be argued that the flaws in Satan’s character are such that we should feel no admiration, fear or pity for him, yet he can be seen to inspire these emotions. Satan’s tragic flaws are pointed out in Book I. They are envy, pride, and ambition towards self-glorification. Satan’s pride, in particular, is stressed throughout Paradise Lost.

The poet condemned God through Satan’s words. On the surface, God had given human free will; in fact, he had suppressed the true freedom.Obviously, the poet"s criticism and condemnation of God were out from the social reality of United Kingdom. The tyrant was the embodiment of Stuart. Milton laid his own political tendencies in the great Satan. He portrayed Satan"s resistance as the justice resistance to authoritarian rule and a bold challenge to the violent regime.

Oliver Twist, one of the most famous works of Charles Dickens’, is a novel reflecting the tragic fact of the life in Britain in 18th century.

The author who himself was born in a poor family wrote this novel in his twenties with a view to reveal the ugly masks of those cruel criminals and to expose the horror and violence hidden underneath the narrow and dirty streets in London.

The hero of this novel was Oliver Twist, an orphan, who was thrown into a world full of poverty and crime.

He suffered enormous pain, such as hunger, thirst, beating and abuse.

While reading the tragic experiences of the little Oliver, I was shocked by his sufferings.

I felt for the poor boy, but at the same time I detested the evil Fagin and the brutal Bill.

To my relief, as was written in all the best stories, the goodness eventually conquered devil and Oliver lived a happy life in the end.

One of the plots that attracted me most is that after the theft, little Oliver was allowed to recover in the kind care of Mrs.

Maylie and Rose and began a new life.

He went for walks with them, or Rose read to him, and he worked hard at his lessons.

He felt as if he had left behind forever the world of crime and hardship and poverty.

How can such a little boy who had already suffered oppressive affliction remain pure in body and mind? The reason is the nature of goodness.

I think it is the most important information implied in the novel by Dickens-he believed that goodness could conquer every difficulty.

Although I don’t think goodness is omnipotent, yet I do believe that those who are kind-hearted live more happily than those who are evil-minded.

For me, the nature of goodness is one of the most necessary character for a person.

Goodness is to humans what water is to fish.

He who is without goodness is an utterly worthless person.

On the contrary, as the famous saying goes, ‘The fragrance always stays in the hand that gives the rose’, he who is with goodness undoubtedly is a happy and useful person.

People receiving his help are grateful to him and he also gets gratified from what he has done, and thus he can do good to both the people he has helped and himself.

To my disappointment, nowadays some people seem to doubt the existence of the goodness in humanity.

They look down on people’s honesty and kindness, thinking it foolish of people to be warm-hearted.

As a result, they show no sympathy to those who are in trouble and seldom offer to help others.

On the other hand, they attach importance to money and benefit.

In their opinion, money is the only real object while emotions and morality are nihility.

If they cannot get profit from showing their ‘kindness’, they draw back when others are faced with trouble and even hit a man when he is down.

They are one of the sorts that I really detest.

Francis Bacon said in his essay, ‘Goodness, of all virtues and dignities of the mind, is the greatest, being the character of the Deity, and without it, man is a busy, mischievous, wretched thing, no better than a kind of vermin.’

That is to say a person without goodness is destined to lose everything.

Therefore, I, a kind person, want to tell those ‘vermin-to-be’ to learn from the kind Oliver and regain the nature of goodness.

《 Notre Dame cathedral》 is one known far and wide romantic faction strength which Victor Hugo writes . I take advantage of this summer vacation free time, read this great work.

Notre Dame cathedrals story, actually was one at that time social epic poem, since brimmed with really. Friendly. Beautiful, also the flow selfish desire and is false. Regardless of is good beautiful Asmelada ,or has the ugly semblance, Cacimodo with one pure mind, they represent the great amount the lower level populace which suppresses; Perhaps is sinister Coloud, he is appears by the theocracy face, all load bearing one kind of authors ponder. The author in this work, for with the clown, was beautifully friendly and wickedly does the best annotation, or take above three people as the example, the rebel Asmelada has the beautiful semblance and the chaste good mind, as well as pitiful destiny, but Cacimodo, he withstood destiny deceive nicely, the innermost feelings is his misery is graver, but Coloud maintained the benighted social rights and interests, he had brutally. Void mind and evil passion. Good person physique hateful, but the evil person actually says the appearance shore however, bright set off, social unfair manifest.

But the article result also is when the opposition society until criticism: All beautiful is good all swallows by the might and the evil, the lower level peoples weak strength in under the king power rule, in the benighted society, only can be reduced to ashes. Was palatial Notre Dame cathedral, how many world tragedy testimony once, in Hugo the novel, he as if had the life breath, he sheltered Asmelada ,exposed Coloud the crime, regret the populace attack the magnificent feat which dark actually heroically devoted……

Another the question which is worth pondering is: Who is the hero? Asmelada or Cacimodo? I think all is not, but is in the article by the Louis 11 rank smell of blood suppression rather for sacreficed the populace gate, Asmelada with Cacimodo is not in them the representative, Asmelada is loves with the beautiful symbol, Cacimodo not many represents is unfortunate and the pain. But they, all suffer a tragic middle ages ignorant evil forces devastate, one each one painful soul is bleeding, flows the tear. Merely is Notre Dame cathedrals above engraves " the destiny "? They are in middle ages France, despotism sacrificial victim.

The entire story rich tragic color, the plot intense is moving, exciting. Author Hugo through " Notre Dame cathedral " this story, but also disclosed at that time the dark societys essence to the people. This fascinating story likes that Ccimodo clocks sound equally shocks several generation of readers minds.

It seems we are living in the conflict between modern and traditional

cultures every day. Hearing the blaring of horns the moment you step out of your

house, seeing the so called "pop" the moment you open your eyes, you cant help

thinking, "Will the traditional culture be gradually lost?"

Many people believe so. They may put right in front of you all the

evidences they can dig out. They may argue that people are rushing to

restaurants instead of cooking at home, listening to pop music but not

traditional, wearing in a way people couldnt imagine ten years ago. Modern

people like the air of freedom, not to be restrained by traditions. They offer

this long list, only trying to confirm that this world is full of

fashion, competition and temptation and the traditional culture is fading and

will be lost at last.

Though we are now living in a world in which undeclared aggression, war,

hypocrisy, chicanery, anarchy are part of our daily life. Though this is a

skeptical age, and our faith has weakened, our confidence in some aspects of the

traditional culture should and would never be lost.

Wouldnt you agree that our traditional culture is always credited with

modesty, politeness and respectfulness, which have always been treasured for

more than five thousand years?Even in this modern world, people still admire

those with good manners, those who are polite to others or respectful to old

people.

Wouldnt you agree that our Chinese traditional music is beautiful and

artistic and our Chinese tea culture is always an appealing treasure to people

around the world?

So there may just be some changes in our lifestyle or our attitudes towards

life, but little change occurs to some fundamental aspects of our traditional

culture that people still treasure in heart.

The traditional culture will never be lost, I believe.
