Published in 1847, Wuthering Heights was not well received by the reading public, many of whom condemned it as sordid, vulgar, and unnatural--and author Emily Bronte went to her grave in 1848 believing that her only novel was a failure. After a visit to his strange landlord, a newcomer to the area desires to know the history of the family--which he receives from Nelly Deans, a servant who introduces us to the Earnshaw family who once resided in the house known as Wuthering Heights. It was once a cheerful place, but Old Earnshaw adopted a "Gipsy" child who he named Heathcliff. And Catherine, daughter of the house, found in him the perfect companion: wild, rude, and as proud and cruel as she. But although Catherine loves him, even recognizes him as her soulmate, she cannot lower herself to marry so far below her social station. She instead marries another, and in so doing sets in motion an obsession that will destroy them all.

Wuthering Heights is a bit difficult to "get into;" the opening chapters are so dark in their portrait of the end result of this obsessive love that they are somewhat off-putting. But they feed into the flow of the work in a remarkable way, setting the stage for one of the most remarkable structures in all of literature, a story that circles upon itself in a series of repetitions as it plays out across two generations. Catherine and Heathcliff are equally remarkable, both vicious and cruel, and yet never able to shed their impossible love no matter how brutally one may wound the other.

As the novel coils further into alcoholism, seduction, and one of the most elaborately imagined plans of revenge it gathers into a ghostly tone: Heathcliff, driven to madness by a woman who is not there but who seems reflected in every part of his world--dragging her corpse from the grave, hearing her calling to him from the moors, escalating his brutality not for the sake of brutality but so that her memory will never fade, so that she may never leave his mind until death itself. Yes, this is madness, insanity, and there is no peace this side of the grave or even beyond.

It is a stunning novel, frightening, inexorable, unsettling, filled with unbridled passion that makes one cringe. Even if you do not like it, you should read it at least once--and those who do like it will return to it again and again.

这个星期，我又一次看完了《三国演义》这本书，其中《关羽刮骨疗伤》这个故事让我感受特别深

这个故事主要讲了有一次，关羽在攻打樊城的时候，被阴险的庞德叫人偷偷从背后放毒箭。关羽的那个伤口没过多久，毒药就渗进骨头里去了又青又仲。大家见关羽受伤了，都劝他去治病，但关羽放不下战场上的事情，大家就请来了神医华佗来治病。华佗来的时候，关羽正好跟别人下围棋。华佗皱紧眉头说：“要用刀刮走骨头里的毒药才行。”但关羽没有退缩勇敢的忍着巨大痛苦成功治好了病。

和关羽比起来，我真是没用。 记得三年级的时候有一次，我在学校里发高烧，烧到将近四十度，妈妈得到消息的时候，把我从学校接了回来，带我去了医院，医生说我扁桃腺发炎，需要针。我非常害怕，然后我大哭了，过了一会儿我慢慢冷静下来了，但看见针缓缓的刺进皮肤里，我又哭了。

我现在想起来也觉得好笑，当然我已经没有那么软弱了，通过这个故事我懂得了有些困难要像关羽那样用坚强的意志去战胜困难才能取得成功。

不同于川端康成的传统日式写作，或是村上春树式的脱亚派写作，太宰治的颓废无赖派在日本文坛上一枝独秀。

太宰治塑造的大庭叶藏，显示出的最显著特征就是骄傲和懦弱同时存在的典型日式矛盾性，即拒绝一切妥协，然而却对现实无力也无心调和，这是对大庭叶藏或者说是对太宰治的颓废最合理的描写。纵观太宰治一生的经历，对比《人间失格》中大庭叶藏，两人就像是实像和镜像一般，不谋而合。太宰治短暂的一生中，有五次携不同情人_的经历(除最后一次外，其余四次均获救，而他的情人无一逃脱厄运)，这样的特别经历，即使是在战后日本作家频繁_的怪圈下(如川断康成，三岛由纪夫等作家)，也是十分罕见的。

一个作家的写作常受到社会环境以及个人经历等多方面原因影响，参照太宰治的经历以及日本战后作家群风格纷繁复杂的现象，可见太宰治的写作与社会环境有着莫大的关系。

太宰治生于明治42年，卒于昭和23年，日本经历着对外殖民受挫、战争失败_投向美国、封建传统社会_向现代化转变、武士道忠诚遭到质疑等种.种创伤。人们开始对那个年代彷徨、迷茫，而敏感、犀利的太宰治迅速感受到这些变化，这些变化在他身上得到催化，造就了他的颓废。一方面，他骄傲地认为“即使悲哀会因此尾随而至，也无所谓，一辈子只要有过一次狂暴的欢乐就够了”，但是，在另一方面，他却又只敢向上天控诉:“不抵抗，何罪之有?”

这种矛盾，造成对太宰治，或者严格说是他笔下的大庭叶藏的评价在学术界争论颇大，痴迷者有之，围攻者更是不在少数，客观来说，即使他生前死后一直处于毁誉参半的境况，但对他的评价，还是依然需要按照某个日本作家所说的“无论是肯定他还是否定他，他的作品总拥有一种不可思议的魔力，在今后很长一段时间李，太宰笔下生动的描绘都会直逼读者灵魂，让人无法逃脱”。诚然，当读者的感情与作品产生共鸣是，才是真正意义上的阅读，包括颓废以及懦弱等等，太宰治的笔戳向了那个时期人们心中不愿意或不敢提起，却又难以回避的懦弱，这不免有些令人尴尬，日本右翼作家三岛由纪夫更是直接地道出了对太宰治的不满，但是回过头想想，苏醒懦弱难道不是一种呼唤人性的行为吗(包括三岛由纪夫本身因无法接受日本法西斯覆灭而选择的_，也可以算作是某种懦弱)?在某种程度上，这无异是上帝一般的存在的。

然而，这样一个人，某些时候如神一样启迪、解放世人的人，却以死作为谢幕，而不是苟活于世，究竟那一个更值得肯定一些，我们无从解答。如他所提的问题一样:“请问上天:不抵抗何罪之有?”大概是只有上帝能回答得了吧。

Harassed by the evil Legree ,Tom displays his Christian charity by refusing to flog another slave .Simon Legree may not own Tom’s soul ,but he can do as he chooses with the body, and he orders two of his slaves, Sambo and Quimba, to whip the unresisting Tom, whose only responses to the merciless beating is a plea to stop in order that Legree might save his own soul.

On his deathbed, Tom charitably forgives the harsh Legree. Ironically, he lives long enough to witness the arrival of his former master’s son, come to redeem the family pledge by buying him back and granting his freedom.

The theme of Uncle Tom’s Cabin, for its all apparent simplicity, is representative of much of 19th century American fiction of the good man opposed by evil personified under the circumstance of slavery.

What strikes me is Tom’s loyalty to his religious belief. 1860年英法联军抢了圆明园的宝物，后来把圆明园给烧了。后来八国联军又来抢圆明园的文物。这证明了清朝的落后和腐败。在清朝只有皇宫里的人才能过好日子，百姓全部要过那种要饭的日子。

在坏人来的时候，皇帝跑了，守园士兵只好眼睁睁的看着文物被人抢走。许多人都自杀了。落后就要挨打，所以，我们要强大起来。只有这样才不会被人欺负。

我们不可以忘了圆明园的事，圆明园许多宝物都流失到了海外，中国人花了几千万买回了被掠夺的东西，让我们后人越想越气愤，这也说明国家那时候弱小不发达，才会这样，如果国家强大我们也不会被欺负，也不会再花冤枉钱买回属于自己的东西。

如今的圆明园已被侵略者掠去了昔日的辉煌，想到这些我感到无比的愤怒和无限的惋惜。

前不久，爸爸妈妈给我买了一套《红楼梦》连环画。我可高兴了!一有空我就拿来看，简直爱不释手。

《红楼梦》原名叫《石头记》，是清朝著名文学家曹雪芹写的。《红楼梦》写的是家财万贯的贾家，经过了一连串的打击，终于像薛家一样，一败不起。

在荣国府里，贾母日夜祈祷，也没能挽救贾府衰败的命运，到头来：凤姐病死，宝玉生病，黛玉病死，……最后自己也伤心地离开了人世。

早知如此，何必当初呢?

薛家因薛蟠倚财仗势打死人，案子由应天府审理。薛家花了不少钱去打发官府，使薛蟠逍遥法外。薛蟠整日花天酒地，挥霍无度，最后弄了个家破人亡，一败不起。

我要问贾府的人们，平平安安的过日子不好吗?非要把自己打扮成西施，住的屋子像皇宫，有个三妻四妾吗?

仗势欺人，看着别人痛苦，你们却哈哈大笑，这样不好!不能因为你们家财万贯而去欺负平民，不能因为要升官发财而不顾天理。

为什么不做个好官?为什么不做个好人?不就是图那几个钱么?有钱也不代表有了一切呀!像一些农民，他们在金钱上确实十分贫穷，物质上十分贫乏，但他们在精神上并不贫穷，他们的生活过得很快乐很充实。

所以，我要告诫我自己和我身边的人们：不要过于追求所谓的”奢侈“生活，那样，你在一些方面变得富裕的同时，你就会在另一方面变得很贫穷。

暑假期间，妈妈给我买了我最喜欢的四大名著。

四本书中，我先读了《红楼梦》，因为书的编排是少儿版的，所以书的画面色彩艳丽，人物栩栩如生。不仅如此，每篇故事还配有插图说明，让我读起来很有兴趣。

这本书中描写的人物众多，主要围绕四大家族人物关系的描写，展开了一个个故事，每一个故事与另一个故事又有着千丝万缕的联系。当我把整本书读完后，虽然不能完全明白故事的深意，但个性鲜明的人物却给我留下了深刻印象。 比如：俊秀的贾宝玉，他出身显赫，因出生时口中含玉，所以取名宝玉;聪明清秀的林黛玉，因母亲去世，所以多愁善感又体弱多病，整天一副弱不禁风的可怜样儿，就连凋零的花瓣，也能让她伤心落泪;心直口快，火辣厉害的王熙凤，她是大观园里的总管，丫鬟们见了都会怕三分;还有端庄大方的薛宝钗;热情开朗的史湘云;我仿佛也走进了大观园，与他们谈笑、作诗、吟唱……

从“贾不假，白玉为堂金作马”这句话中，使我不难看出，当时贾家尊贵地位非同一般。大观园是大户人家，想要更深入的了解其中的故事，我还需再读青年版、成人版的《红楼梦》，让我有所期待吧!
