2， 节约资源有利于环保。下面分别以淡水、木材、能源为例进行说明：

1) 淡水

除却沙漠与干旱地带，地球别的地方似乎并不缺淡水，江河湖泊中都是水，还有大量地下水。农村的人们就近用水而无需花钱，即使是城市中市民用的自来水，其价格也十分低廉。故而人们历来就不重视节约用水。然而随着人口的增多，淡水的消耗自然也就随之增多，情况严重时导致水荒。首都北京就是如此，多年来已成为缺水城，人们的生活用水都感到紧缺，以至于有不少专家提出了迁都建议与设想。

而由于工业用水的剧增，以至地面水不敷使用，不得不大量地开采地下水。专家指出：“过度抽取地下水与城市不合理建设，是当前产生地面沉降最主要的原因。地面沉降会引发内涝加重、地表水环境恶化、地裂缝等危害。地面沉降的发生具有缓变性、不易察觉性特点，防治也具有一定的难度。”资料表明，全国已有70座城市的地面悄然下沉，其中有上海、天津、太原、西安等大城市。城市每沉降1毫米，损失高达千万元。以上海为例，据资料介绍，40多年来的地面沉降，造成的经济损失已达千亿元!

3) 能源

像这些大量浪费资源、消耗资源的现象在生活中还有很多，资源是有限的、是不可再生的。因此，节约资源、减少能源消耗迫在眉睫。改进汽车使耗油量降低;将大排量汽车改为小巧的小排量微型轿车;公务员每周减少开车出行一天，减少汽车使用;武汉、重庆等地开始使用混合动力车，利用油改气从而使汽油的消耗量减少了一些。这些都是人们开始有了节约资源意识。

节约资源，人人有责。我们每天节约一度电、少开一小时的空调、多坐公共汽车，少开车。这样可以节约资源又能减少日常支出。

从一点一滴做起，从身边的小事做起。节约有限的资源，为我们和我们的后代作出的贡献将是无量的。
