【分析】这个句子表达了两层思想：1. Born in a small town出生在一个小镇 2. grew up to be a musician.长大成为了音乐家。这个句子应该分成两句来写。除此之外，还需要增加一些信息来连接两层思想。

【提升】He was born in a small town in South China in the early 50s. In his childhood he liked to sing. Later he entered a music conservatory. In the 70s, he grew up to be an accomplished musician.

特点二：连贯性

句子的连贯性：即能清晰地连接句子的各个部分，没有虚假的平行结构，没有指代不请的代词，没有不清晰的句内关系。

Eg. Upon entering the classroom, the students stood up and said, "good morning!"

【分析】这个句子从语法来讲是正确的，但是句内关系不清楚，到底谁进入了教室？

【提升】When the teacher entered the classroom, the students stood up and said, "good morning!"

Eg. Elizabeth and I enjoy walking, to ski, travel and teaching university students.

【分析】这个句子的连贯性较差，可以利用平行结构来体现连贯性。

【提升】Elizabeth and I enjoy walking, skiing, traveling and teaching university students.

特点三：准确性

句子的准确性指句子内部没有不准确的，不必要的词。

Eg. He returned in the early part of the month of August.

【分析】这个句子感觉有故意写长之嫌，需要精简。

【提升】He returned in early August.

特点四：重点突出

好的句子应该重点突出，词的选择，词的重复都有助于句子的重点突出。

Eg. When the bank robbers entered the bank they yelled, "dont move!"

【分析】这个句子比较平淡，可以修改一下动词。

【提升】When the bank robbers rushed into the bank they yelled, "dont move!"

特点五：语法正确，句式多变

句式多变指句子长短结合。如果全篇都是复杂的长难句，文章读起来会晦涩难懂，并且有挑衅阅卷人之嫌。反之，全篇都是短句，感觉有侮辱阅卷人之感。

Pranks performed on April Fools Day range from the simple, (such as saying, "Your shoes untied, or I accidentally stepped on your glasses!), to the elaborate. Setting a roommates alarm clock back an hour is a common gag. Whatever the prank, the trickster usually ends it by yelling to his victim, "April Fool!"

Practical jokes are a common practice on April Fools Day. Sometimes, elaborate practical jokes are played on friends or relatives that last the entire day. The news media even gets involved. For instance, a British short film once shown on April Fools Day was a fairly detailed documentary about "spaghetti farmers" and how they harvest their crop from the spaghetti trees.

April Fools Day is a "for-fun-only" observance. Nobody is expected to buy gifts or to take their "significant other" out to eat in a fancy restaurant. Nobody gets off work or school. Its simply a fun little holiday, but a holiday on which one must remain forever vigilant, for he may be the next April Fool!

公园里，一位老人拿着一部外国原装的数码相机向同伴们炫耀：“这是我儿子从国外寄回来的。”看着那部没有一个中国字的机器，围观的人群没有意料中的艳羡，反而有些轻视：“这玩意一个中国字都没有，你会玩吗？”

不远处的另一堆人，同样的在攀比，一位妇人正在向她的同伴们展示身上那一件并不高档的新衣服：“这是前几天我女儿陪我买的！”一瞬间，多少人眼中漾出艳羡，赞美声此起彼伏，她们赞的是衣服，眼中看的却是衣服以外的某种东西！我知道，旁人的艳羡不是来自于那件衣服，而是仅仅源于那个“陪”字！

陪！对于我们年青人来说再一般不过，工作要陪客户，生活要陪**，难得的休息还要陪朋友；有没有人算过，一天24小时里，有几个小时是留给父母的？他们孤独一天，翘首盼望，等的或许只是为了跟孩子吃一顿晚饭！

曾经不明白，为什么退了休的老人喜欢扎堆在公园里，直到吃饭了也不回家。如今，父亲也退休了，也跟所有的老人一样，我方才明白，他们不是不回家，而是在等待儿女们来“接”他们回家！有时，只需简单的一句：“爸，回家吃饭了！”就足以赢得别人的艳羡，满足他们的“虚荣心”，让他们高兴得好像得到了心爱玩具的孩子！

今天，我们是站在21世纪文明的脚下，我们以为不忠不义的事情也已经消失殆尽了，文明的观念，使得‘孝’这个文明传统已经倍加深入人心。可是我却要说‘NO，NO，NO。’其实，在我们的社会生活中，还存在着少部分不孝之人。父母辛辛苦苦把他们养大成人，可却落了个无人送终的下场。他们不顾亲情血脉，人情道义，不孝顺父母，不赡养父母，不关心父母，不给父母精神上的支持与安慰。这种人相对于孝顺的人而言，显得薄情寡义，是个泯灭人性的动物。‘孝’不管任何时候，任何缘由，都要抱以宽恕、理解的态度，因为作为子女，百事孝为先吗？相反，一个孝顺父母的人，他就会从心底上去用心回报父母对他的爱，懂得知恩图报，会为父母做一些力所能及的事，会给予父母精神上的物质财富，使得父母舒心、快乐。同时，作为一个孝顺的人，我认为他还应该懂得去克制自己，不去做违法违规的事，就是不让父母为他操心过度。今天站在自己的角度上，我也要提出自己一些看法，来对‘孝’这个字以透彻的理解。

自从人类有了亲情开始，孝道便与我们好像永远脱不了关系了。小时候，我们从一个婴儿呱呱坠地的那一刻，我们的父母就要为我们操劳了，他们日夜不停，无时无刻地守护着我们，生怕我们生出一点毛病来。给我们喂奶，换尿布，一直呵护我们不停。有时候是夜以继日地操劳着，连个安稳觉都不能睡好。平时不管工作有多忙，有多苦，他们只是‘哑巴吃黄连’，默默地承受着这一切，连个怨言也没有。到了我们渐渐长大的年龄了，我们也许都应该学会懂事了。可是事实并不是这样，父母要为我们更加担心了，他们担心我们的学习，健康成长，为我们将来的出路而感到无比担忧。他们‘费尽心机’一切只为我们打算，为了让我们有更好的生活与未来，而奔波劳累。同学们，这就是我们的父母呀。他们的双鬓已经斑白，让我们从现在开始用心去关心、爱护，孝顺我们的父母吧。

父母的爱是这个世界上最伟大的爱他们的爱是不求回报的，是为了让子女的将来能过得好一点，那样他们就心满意足了。虽然父母的爱是无私的奉献，但是我们也要像甘露一样，奉献出那清澈甜美的可贵的那一面。虽然是微不足道的一面，但是我们也要尽心尽力。

让我们继承中华民族的传统美德，来发扬，弘扬‘孝’这个美德，让孝道永远驻足在我们心中吧。

We have eight classes everyday , and only two classes are not english ,

another classes is listening , reading , speaking and writing english . Some

people think it is boring in the classes , but i think this is very enjoyable

In summer I usually get up early in the morning to exercise. Raising my head, I see the vast space in the sky. There are fish scales clouds, cotton-like clouds, sheep like clouds and dark blue clouds like a lake. The clouds are moving silently, changing constantly in shape.
