My View on Helping Others in Need

In modern society we are often sorry to see that people are reluctant to help others out, not to mention helping a stranger; offering a helping hand seems to be out of accord with the times。

Then what’s wrong with our society? Some people may say that facing skyrocketing housing prices, expensive medical expenditure

and soaring commodity prices, they have no choice but to struggle to make a living, and thus it would be impossible to spare a hand to help others because it may bring them into trouble. Therefore, standing by indifferently is their only choice。

In my understanding, if we refer to an ideal University life as a formal western dinner, then a high GPA, that is, Grade Point Average, should be the main course, while an active part in activities, together with associations, means the appetizer. 早晨，我费力地从床上爬起来，一副还没睡醒的样子，迅速的穿好衣服准备晨练。

刚从房间走出来，透过窗子看到外面的天气，一大堆的好心情顿时没有了。我用失落的模样走到院子里，雾霾太大了，当我想回到房间的时候发现自己走到了一个白茫茫的世界。一想到雾霾对身体有害就想快速离开这个白茫茫的世界，却什么也看不到。我就只能靠着直觉找到房间了。不到一分钟终于回到了房间。回到房间后，我想透过窗子看外面的雾霾，我刚一看，我的天呀!外面一片白色呀!什么也看不到。那时我觉得我正站在天上的白云上呢!

因为雾霾太大，不能总出门。所以我妈妈就没去上班。因为雾霾天气，我们一定要记住，雾霾天气尽量不要出门。

我眼中的雾霾是有害的。

清晨天空中弥漫着灰色的雾气，每个人的面部都被一个大大的口罩覆盖住，快步疾行在雾气缭绕的街道上。也许你会想这是《生化危机》的拍摄现场，但这确是我早晨起来看到的世界的样子。原本我以为这样糟糕的天气与我无关，于是我抱怨、愤怒、谴责，但后来我才知道这竟与我有关。

许久前“雾霾”这个对我来说极其生僻的词汇，如今却成了街头巷尾，茶余饭后必聊的话题。雾霾不在是一个简单的天气现象，它已经影响到了我们的生活。

繁忙的学习中，我最期待的就是体育课。一到体育课我们就如放出笼子的小鸟，自由的奔跑在操场上。天空蔚蓝如同被清水洗过的蓝宝石一样，透彻洁净，偶尔掠过几只生灵，划破原本的宁静，给这片静如蓝玉般的天空带来几分生气。绿草如茵，我们奔跑在草地上，挥洒着汗水，你争我夺将球踢进对方的大门。那份奔跑的热情，大口的呼吸着空气，整个人都感到酣畅淋漓。

可这已经成为了梦中的场景。明净的天空被灰色覆盖，就连太阳也消失了。体育时我寻找那片蓝天，寻找那片绿草，寻找那一只只生灵，可最终我只能蜷缩于教室内，带着厚重的口罩，费力的呼吸着并不干净的空气。只能用想象在回到那片曾经奔跑过的草地。于是我开始诅咒哪些冒着黑烟的工厂，怨恨马路上那些车辆，谴责那些伐木的工人。可万万没想到我为雾霾也“贡献”一份力量。

每天早上为了多睡一会儿，我总是央求着妈妈开车送我上学，却不知这正是为雾霾“贡献”一份力量。这一去一回间无形中妈妈的车辆向空气中排放了许多废气。学习中的不良习惯也为“雾霾”添砖加瓦。每当我做数学作业时，题海中畅游的快乐，让我的笔在草纸上不停的舞动，我竟忘了规整的书写，有时一整页纸只写几个字便被无情的扔进了垃圾桶，可我现在才知道那一页页被我丢弃的纸正是一片片森林。阳光不错的日子，家人总是喜欢带着我去江边家庭聚餐。那美味的烧烤是必备的食物，可我现在才知道美味入口的代价是给雾霾“添油加醋”。

我控制不了外来的空气，但可以控制自己，少开一次私家车、少浪费一张纸、少一次烧烤的家庭聚餐，多养一个盆栽……我相信，除了抱怨，如果每人都能做到一点点，那蔚蓝的天空，如茵的绿草，奔跑的我们都会再次出现。那时我可以骄傲的呼喊雾霾的离开与我有关!

Thanksgiving, or Thanksgiving Day, is coming. Its a traditional North

American holiday,and is a form of harvest festival. In the United States, the

fourth Thursday in November is called Thanksgiving Day. Thanksgiving was about

the Pilgrims, the first settlers in America. They shared the first harvest with

the Indians and gave thanks.

Thanksgiving Day is usually a family day. People always celebrate with big

dinners and happy reunions. Pumpkin pie and Indian pudding are traditional

Thanksgiving desserts. Relatives from other cities, students who have been away

at school, and many other Americans travel a long distance to spend the holiday

at home.

On that day, Americans give thanks for the blessings they have enjoyed

during the year. And I am sure that we all must have a lot to be thankful for.
