The day we were looking forward to came at last--a weeks military training began.

During the training, each of us did his (her) part in earnest. We drilled more than six hours a day, though it was very hot at the time.

In the blazing① sun, we always tried to measure up to the high standards which were demanded . Sweat streamed down and we wouldnt wipe it off. Olny three days later our faces were tanned.② We felt happy and proud of it .

Our platoon③ officer was a young PLA man, about twenty years old. He was very strict with us during the training and very kind to us afterwards. By talking with him, we came to know not only more information about army life, but also about military affairs.

The military training gave us good discipline. It brought us great happiness, too. Well never forget it.

The quality of human life has improved greatly over the past few centuries, but Earth is being harmed more and more by human activity. As we develop our technology, we demand more from our planet. Eventually, this will harm people as well.

Our planet gives us everything we need, but natural resources are not endless. Strip mining devastates whole regions, leaving bare and useless ground. Deforestation removes old growth trees that cant be replaced. Too much fishing may harm fish populations to the point where they cant recover. We are too careless in taking what we want without giving anything back.

There are more people than ever, living longer that ever. So is it any surprise that many areas suffer from too much development? Anyone living in or near a city has experienced "urban sprawl". There is a new shopping area on every corner and new houses, townhouses and apartments everywhere. Traffic gets worse and worse because planners cant keep up with growth. Keeping up with human demand is hard enough. Environmental concerns come in last.

With growth comes pollution. Companies and communities dump waste into water. Landfills are full of trash. Emissions from factories pollute the air. Barrels of industrial waste and worse, radioactive waste, have no safe place to go. If were not careful, we can harm our planet beyond repair.

People need to respect the Earth and try to preserve it. If we dont, what kind of future will we have?

Before Chinese students go to college, they have been told about the great

things on campus life all the time, so they have the motivation to study hard.

When they come to university, they begin to slow down their pace to study and

waste their youth.

Nowadays, a lot of college students lose motivation to move on when they

come to the new chapter of their life. Campus life seems to be relaxed and a

place to free themselves. Without the supervision from parents and teachers,

they choose to lose themselves in the computer games or all kinds of

parties.

So someone made the comment on campus life as the nursing house, which

satirized the students who wasted their precious time and youth to accomplish

nothing. It is the important stage for them to learn professional knowledge and

master skills, so as to be competitive and find their own place in the

world.

For a wise student, they make the plans and improve themselves all the

time. If we live the life as the old people in the nursing house, then it is

kind of committing suicide for a young person.

吃过饭之后，我们去开水房接了一杯水，在楼梯上聊天，我们聊一些大家都会常问的话语，比如：你原先在哪上学?是公立的还是私立的?……虽然有些寒酸，但毕竟是大家刚刚认识，都还不太熟悉。突然有一位同学看到了一只虫，就是因为这只虫，气氛很快就活跃起来。哨子响了，教官喊四班集合了，我们便停止了谈话，去站队了。

到了篮球场，又与往常一样，我们站军姿，仅仅只站了20分钟，却已经把我累着了，累得我肩痛胳膊酸，腿痛膝盖痛。我想起了在边疆守卫的战士们，在天安门前走过的精兵们，他们那规规矩矩场面的背后，是有多少的辛酸与痛苦，又有多少的刻苦与汗水，所以我们不能够像一只慢吞吞的缩头乌龟，我们应该像一只小兔子，不论做什么都应该面对克服。

再过两天半，我们要告别这段难忘的日子，告别这段时间训练我们的教官。军训过后，我们一定要告别小学时懦弱的我们，做一名比合格更合格的高中生!

步入初中，第一件大事就是军训。当我知道要军训时，心中一阵窃喜，我终于能过一次独立的生活了，终于能摆脱父母的“统治”了。可没想到，军训的第二天，我立马改变了自己的想法。

我想大多数人刚开始听到军训这一个词的时候，都会觉得就是苦，其实我以前也这样认为，但经过一件事，让我读“军训”这个词，有了360度大转弯。

刚上高一的时候，我们要去银浩去军训，当时的我一听，耳朵就耷拉下来，心想：这一次军训一定很苦把，我可不怎么想去。可是如果不去，我在同学心目中地位就会贬低，唉，无奈，我只的哭丧着脸拿着“行李”。

在当时走的时候，我的爸爸就鼓励我，说：“儿子，你就把这次军训当做一次实践训练!”“知道了，知道了。”我不耐烦的说。其实，但是我真怀疑我是不是我爸亲生的。

当车来了之后，我一个人就拿着行李上了车，而别的家长却大包小包替孩子拿着行李，尤其是我们班的郝文龙，200多元的好吃的，还拿了200多元，看到这场情景，我心里真不是滋味。

上了车之后，同学们都吃着自己的好吃的，我却只吃了几根火腿肠，我拿的吃的不多，我去那里还要吃呢!一路上，同学们在车上说说笑笑，我也忍不住参加进来。

到了银浩之后，同学就陆续下了车，然后走进自己的宿舍，我一进来，就叫起来：“这宿舍我们怎么住?”一进里面，就看到几块儿木板，这就是床，枕头是瓜子皮装的，我真是后悔死了!我怎么来了个这么烂的破地方?唉，没办法，凑乎的住吧，5天以后就走了。

这一次的军训，要求更加严格：烈日当空，我们顶着炙热的太阳，一动不动地站着军姿，任凭汗水肆意地从额头沿着滚烫的脸颊，再流向晒得黑黑的脖子。没有教官的命令，即使汗流浃背，我们也不能用手去擦拭汗水，更不用说是活动手脚了，如果我们当中有一个人放松了，甚至是悄悄地动了，那是逃不过教官的金睛火眼的，我们便要全体受罚——跑圈、俯卧撑、蹲下起立……每一次的惩罚都会使我们筋疲力尽。这时，我真的很像放弃，但是，我心里默默地鼓励自己：一定要坚持！绝对不能轻言放弃……那么我就会咬紧牙关，努力挺过去。哈哈！就让阳光来得更猛烈些吧！我一定不会那么容易屈服的！我会坚持到底！

军训，不但锻炼了我的体质和意志，而且，对我的思想教育有了不少的影响。尽管德育课上，教官说的都是老生常谈的道理，他不像专业的老师那样出口成章，也没有妙语连珠，但是，从他专注的眼神，和用心的教育里，我读懂了他，读懂了他对我们的严格要求，读懂了对我们无尽的关怀。

虽然许多道理，我早已懂得，但是在这短短的四天军训里，我发现，那些我曾经以为耳熟能详的道理，原来有了真正的意义，有了真正的诠释，直到今天，我才赫然觉得，这是我第一次真切地感受它们的真谛——一个人，你可以是矮小的，你可以是瘦弱的，但你绝对不能没有精神！一个集体，你可以不是最优秀的，你可以不是学习最好的，但是你绝对不能失去团结的力量！在一个部队里，在一个班级里，你代表的不仅仅是你个人，你的言行举止还代表了整个集体！人不仅要向前看，有时还应该向后看一下，看自己是否错过了什么！不论何时何地，我们都应该学会换位思考，因为这个世界不只是你一个人……

经过军训，我们能更加勇敢地翱翔天际，搏击苍穹；经过军训，我们不再是温室娇嫩的花朵，我们能长成参天大树，迎接暴风雨；经过军训，我们人生上了重要的一课！

中学英语教学大纲中明确指出：“写是书面表达和传递信息的交际能力。培养初步写的能力，是英语教学的目的之一。”在近年的高考中英语写作也占有相当比重。因此，在高中阶段教师应在指导和组织学生进行英语写作上下功夫，在平时教学中应有计划有目的地去训练和提高学生的写作能力。

一、学生能充分认识英语写作的重要性是写作能力提高的必要条件。

英语写作能力的提高需要持之以恒的长期训练。如果学生对写作重要性认识不够，他们就不能积极主动地去配合老师搞好写作训练，甚至产生逆反心理，产生对立情绪，英语写作就会半途而废，达不到预期目的。

在平时教学中，老师要经常性地有意识地对学生进行写作重要性的教育。学生一进入高中就要让他们了解初中和高中英语教学要求的异同。

我给学生找几份中考和高考题，帮助他们了解中考和高考英语试题对基础知识和基本技能要求的相同之处和不同之处，引导他们转变观念，更新和完善学习方法，要让他们了解到英语写作在高考中、实际运用中以及对将来继续学习英语的重要性。

我还联系在过去高考中英语取得优异成绩的毕业生，用书信介绍学好英语的方法，特别是在英语写作方面的成功经验和英语写作对他们当时及后来英语学习的重要性。这些毕业生有很大的感召力，很有说服性，尤其对那些有逆反心理的学生。

二、指导写作应注意的几个问题：

1．教师要有明确合理的教学计划和教学程序，组织系统规范的有序训练。

2．帮助和要求学生养成积极主动地坚持英语写作的良好习惯。

3．坚持循序渐进的训练原则。写作要先易后难，先短后长，先学会运用简单句、并列句，后学会用复合句表达，先写正确句子逐步过渡到围绕一个人、一件事、一个观点去写有中心的文章，由不限定时间到限定时间，由限定时间长到限定时间短，由限定字数少到多……

4．分程度要求。对学生的要求不能一刀切，对学习好的要求要高，对学习差的要求要适当低一些。要避免有些学生轻而易举垂手可得，而有些学生又可望而不可及的情况发生。

5．注意讲评。要经常指出优点，以利模仿，指出缺点，警示避免。

6．鼓励优秀，耐心帮助差生。充分利用板报、专栏进行优秀作文展览，或者也可采用传阅方式进行。但不能放弃或岐视差生，要经常帮助他们树立信心，掌握写作方法和技巧。

7．基础知识和能力并重，听说读和写并举。教师在平时教学中应充分利用一切可以利用的机会启发引导学生提高自己的写作水平。如遇到优秀的句、段或篇提示学生注意欣赏作者的表达法，把它们作为范例，在自己写作中加以模仿和运用。又如遇到英汉表达方法不同之处，提示学生注意英语的正确表达法，切忌出现汉语式的英语。要帮助学生养成正确运用标点符号的好习惯，切忌一点到底的错误方法。

8．要求学生在写作中宁简勿误，不能养成随随便便的习惯，要养成严谨推敲的风气。

三、训练写作的常用方法。

写作训练应考虑循序渐进的原则，采取逐步提高的形式进行。

1．用学过的词、短语或句式，模仿课文中的表达法造句。2．换课文中的人物、时态、语态或体裁等改写课文。3．看图作文。4．填补式作文。5．写课文复述材料或写心得体会。6．将打乱顺序的句子按事件发展的时间顺序或逻辑关系等整理成一篇完整的短文。7．教师给出题目和提纲让学生写作。8．写日记或周记。9．材料作文。教师给出汉语提示让学生用英语表达。

四、注意纠正学生英语作写中容易出现的错误。

学生最初写作时，教师要给予必要的指导，使他们少犯错误。教师还要经常性地例举错误的表达法，提醒学生注意避免。在批阅作文时教师要随时标出学生错误之处，还要随时记录学生所犯错误，把学生的错误加以归类总结，把普遍性的错误提出来，让学生集体改错，使他们的语言表达尽可能地规范正确。

总之，学生英语写作能力在老师有计划的组织和耐心帮助、正确引导下，在学生长期积极密切的配合下是能够得以逐步提高的。
