The Importance of Details

"The devil is always in the details" is a proverb which means that details determine our success. Therefore, this quotation aims to tell us that every detail is important enough to be paid attention to.

Some people may think that one who wants to achieve great success shouldnt pay much attention to details，but those who desire to do something big at once will constantly be haunted by disappointment, frustration or even failures，as when something big " shows up，they can hardly seize the opportunity because of the lack of ability to deal with small things. Keeping an eye on details may help us in many ways. For instance, when we were small children, we were sometimes very careless and there were many lapses in our homework, but if we could pay much more attention to these trifles, we would get a higher mark in the exam. Whats more, when we make decisions, making every detail clear will reduce risks.

To sum up，under no circumstances should we undervalue the importance of details, for paying attention to small things is the first step of success and will lay root for doing something big.

This morning i went to the english corner which is in the park near my home. it is three years since it was founded.

Many middle school students as well as college students and foreigners take part in the activity. people there practice speaking english by talking about something interesting. people also exchange the experience in english learning. i think it is a good chance for me to use what i have learnt in my english class. i felt very cool after i got back home.

当我步入中学后，迎接的第一件事就是军训。在军训结束后的评比中，我被评为班级的军训标兵，这要这要完全归功于老师的支持和教官的严格训练。军训给我留下了深刻的印象，那一幕幕令我难以忘怀。

军训开始时，我以为军训也不过是在教官的带领下走走步、训练训练，最后各个班级展示一下就算了。可是，我错了。因为教官和老师曾多次对我们说，军训的目的不只是要校正和教会我们走步、立正和稍息的姿势，更为主要的是要培养我们的自制力、良好的行为习惯和严谨的学习作风，树立我们的吃苦耐劳和团结协作精神，以使我们将来在任何条件下，都能够端端正正地走好人生旅途的每一步。

教官和老师的教诲，我牢记在心中，落实在行动上。所以，军训中，我仿佛感到教官的那张严峻的脸始终在盯着我，在鼓励着我;看我是否偷懒?看我动作是否规范?于是，我在教官的鼓励下严格按照规范，做好每一个动作。会操前夕，教官曾对我们说：“凭实力，你们只要拿出百分之五十的努力，会操成绩就会得到优;但你们一定要用百分百的努力去争取。”我把教官这句激励的话牢牢记在心里，当作我努力的方向、前进的动力。事实上，看似平常的行走、站立、转身等动作，要往好里去做是永无止境的。我坚定了信念和决心：我要地努力做好每一个动作，尽自己最大的能力去做，以百分百的高昂热情投入到军训中去。因为我知道用全力去做只能达到合格，只有用全心去做才能达到优秀。

我没有辜负教官的期望，我在烈日下的汗水也没有白流，经过半个月的军训，我已成为了一名合格的“新兵”——风华大家庭中优秀的一员。我十分珍惜学校和班级给我的这个荣誉，但这并不是我努力的终点，我会一如既往地昂着头、挺着胸、迈着正步走好今后的每一步。

The day we were looking forward to came at last----a weeks military training began.

During the training, each of us did his part in earnest. We drilled more than six hours a day, though it was very hot at the time.

In the blazing sun, we always tried to measure up to the high standards which were demanded . Sweat streamed down and we wouldnt wipe it off. Olny three days later our faces were tanned.We felt happy and proud of it .

Our platoon officer was a young PLA man, about twenty years old. He was very strict with us during the training and very kind to us afterwards. By talking with him, we came to know not only more information about army life, but also about military affairs.

The military training gave us good discipline. It brought us great happiness, too. Well never forget it.

The new term began with military training in August.It‘s popular that most of Chinese colleges and high schools hold military training for several days or more.

Why was military training held by all kinds of schools in China? I didn‘t understand exactly , but it‘s said the honor and glory culture passed from generation to generation . Last month, I took part into military training also. Oh, my god! It‘s rather a painful and unforgettable memory. The strong sunshine ,and be Controledfor a long time . During military, I were forced to stand up ,walk and run. Never worse, I almost have no enough time to have a rest ,it‘s really inhumanity . Maybe some students would protest , if they were forced to take part in military training .

In my opinion, military training arranged by college is not only a lesson that students in college must deal with, but also a chance for students in college who came form different citys to get know each other and help each other. In spite of I didn‘t like it!

军训的这几天是非常辛苦的。天很热，我们就那样在操场上站军姿。当时的训练主要是立正，稍息，跨立，齐步走等。而迟到、动作不规范者，则要接受体能训练。当然，个人的情况迥异，于是有的人跑了几圈后就吐了。第一天的军训十分辛苦，也许这跟诸多方面都有原因吧。第二天的军训则显得稍微放松了些，但因为之前下过雨的缘故，没有太阳的照射，则显得轻松一些。下午的时候也稍事娱乐。第三天便没怎么训练了，主要是娱乐。毕竟上午下雨，而最后一天的下午又不会进行正式的训练。

总体而言，应该说没有想象中的那么累。比之前暑假军训的那一批要轻松不少。我们的食宿是在自己家的，而且训练间的休息时间也比较长，可以在家里调整好状态，当然，即使这样，军训也是蛮累的。大家体质不同，而军训又要求都穿军训服，这对于晚上的换洗衣物是个挑战。有时晾不干，第二天则必须穿着潮的衣服。况且有的人身体就好流汗，半天过去衣服就湿透了，便更加不好受了。

现在回想这三天的军训，应该说，印象不是特别的深刻。虽然很不想军训，很怕军训，但又不想比同龄人缺少这样的一个宝贵的人生体验。但军训完了后，因为是压缩了的军训，时间并不长，所以并没留下多么深刻的印象，但即便这样，也学到了一些东西。

军训非常强调集体荣誉感。军训的时候做一些动作会让一排一排做，做的不好的一排便要集体跑一圈或者做几十个俯卧撑。而个人表现非常糟糕的当然也要被揪出来。个人认为，军训最强调的便是纪律性。做任何事情都要打报告，站军姿的时候便不能做小动作或东张西望，否则便会严惩。

有的时候军训也会炫耀自己所在的连队，走过其他连队的时候喊喊口号什么的，或者是对着喊1234等。在训练之余，便是休息。一般来说，原地休息居多。为了保持队形的整齐以及能够在喊起立时迅速地站好队形。原地休息是十分重要的。

怎么说呢，军训毕竟也是一次人生体验，虽然不是很想再经历一次，但还是学到了很多东西。而且今后的学习确实需要强健的体魄作为基础。

We are always educated to be an honest person, especially to our parents. While the fact is that every kid will lie to their parents in their lives. For me, my parents are very strict, I am not allowed to go out at night, because the news always reports the bad incidents happen at night. But night activity attracts me a lot, and my friends like to hang out for fun at night, so I choose to lie to my parents and tell them I am doing my homework with my friends. 就这样，为期一周的军训落下了帷幕。

现在想来，军训也没有很苦，记住的都是欢笑。尤其是和自己一个寝室的同学们都互相了解熟悉了，每天吵吵闹闹，过的都很充实。

每天早上五点半起床，趁着人少赶快洗脸刷牙，大概还没睡醒，有时候会原地站着发呆，等吹了六点的起床哨后会啊的一声尖叫猛然惊醒，这才手忙脚乱的换衣服梳头发穿鞋。早操回来有半个小时空闲，把卫生打扫好，只要教官不在，我们寝室里几个女生就坐在床上聊天，聊什么的都有，不过大部分时间是控诉教官。

上午下午的训练分别有一段二十分钟的休息时间，这是最大的盼头，眼睛死死盯着手表就等着到点好坐下休息。其实训练的时候最痛苦的不是那些正步走啊跑步走，是站军姿。腿疼得要死要活的还不能动，只能趁教官转身的时候悄悄弯一下腿，然后再龇牙咧嘴的站直。

军队的伙食不怎么样这是有目共睹的，盛到盘子里的都是菜汤tat.

还好我们每天都能洗澡，就像把全身的疲惫连同汗水一起冲进下水道一样，很爽。

晚上等教官训完话回到寝室里都已经九点半左右了，十点熄灯。所以要在半个小时之内在拥挤的水房内争得一席之地洗完衣服再跑到楼下晾，然后洗脸刷牙，换睡衣，整理寝室，关灯，睡觉。

八个小时过去，又是新的一天了。

军训前三天天气都很凉快，根本找不到太阳的影子。不过往后几天天天艳阳高照，地面烫得能烤肉了，汗顺着衣领往下滑，眼睁睁的看着自己的胳膊一天比一天黑，欲哭无泪。

一周过去，离开部队我也没有任何不舍或者如释重负的感觉，也就那样吧。

听说要军训了，心里有一点小小的兴奋，虽然自己初一的时候学校组织军训过，但那时是自己学校的老师训练，而且也算不上是军训吧，只是每天花上一节课学做操而已。

这次，是请军队的军官来帮助我们训练，心里有点按耐不住，想见识一下什么叫做军队的教官。

早上升旗结束后，在学校的军训启动仪式上，终于见到了军队的教官。果真不一样的整齐，不一样的威风凛凛，是啊!这就是军人。

一大段的讲话过后，终于要军训了。我也见到了我们的教官，是个男军官，(潘帅)，有点黑，眼睛炯炯有神，发型嘛!说实话，有点像少林寺的和尚。

他先把我们带到了训练场地，在学校广场的东北端。接下来，就开始训练了。他先把我们分为四排男女各两排，先教我们站军姿，教官告诉我们站军姿要：两脚跟靠拢并齐，两脚尖向外分开约60度……他一边说着我们一边做着，我感到不难做，但很难坚持下来。学会后，教官要我们再站一分钟，快到一分钟时，本以为没事了，可是我前面的一个同学动了一下，被他看见了，唉!没办法，我们又强挺着站了三十秒，等到可以休息的时候，大家都累得不行，我觉得全身都很酸尤其是小腿肚子，过了一会儿，教我们学习向左转向右转。这个嘛，比较简单，不用学也会，但是我们还是练了许多遍，是因为有些同学的手没有紧贴身体造成的。紧接着我们又学了跨立，不过有时候同学们会忘记，弄得手足失措。在就要休息的时候，教官还教我们怎样坐下，之后我们就休息了很长时间。教官告诉我们，回答问题的时候，要干脆，不能拖拖拉拉，像个小学生似的。

下午，教官先是给我们出了个智力问题提起了我们的兴趣然后教我们学齐步走，教官先是教我们摆臂，当我们摆好之后，他就教我们齐步走，先迈左脚伸右臂，再迈右脚伸左臂。有很多同学会出现顺拐，教官说他，同学们就都笑他，教官夸我们班同学“真爱笑”好不容易练得好一些可以休息了，教官拿出他的哨子，准备吹哨子下课，同学们见了，放松了许多，教官发现了，说，我们再看他就不吹了，同学们怕了，教官一吹哨子，全部的班级都停止了训练，休息了。我们也连忙站了起来，正式休息了，教官问谁会唱歌，同学们有的说刘佳，有的说徐彤辉，教官让她俩准备节目，一会表演，他们一边推辞一边跟教官“撒娇”，华帅在后面唱起了歌，同学们听见了，又让华帅起来唱歌。最后刘佳终于唱了几句素颜。然后又是不断的练习，又一次休息后，我去放水瓶，跑得快了些，结果，被说了一次，教官说我，跑什么跑再跑让你爬着过去。当场同学们都笑了让我有点难堪。

军训第一天，感觉还不错。

军训是一种磨练人的意志和生存能力的训练，从小爸爸就这样跟我说，因为爸爸当过兵，吃过苦。所以从小就盼望着初中那年的军训生活。

9月6日那天，我怀着激动又激动的心情来到了我新的学校——五中，因为今天是军训的第一天。老师带领我们来到操场，操场上的那些教官多么高大，并且文质彬彬，我想：他们一定受过很高的训练吧！教官那双严肃的表情让我们知道，我们一定要好好对待这次的军训。

军训开始了，我们由矮到高排着整齐的队伍，先跟教官打好招呼。教官先让我们在原地站立不动五分钟，如果有人动了就要加一分钟，我们一听，赶紧直挺挺的站在那，可还是有那么几个人不是那么听话，在那儿乱动，让我们又多加了三分钟，还好后来大家都十分认真，这才让我们不用站了，正当我们刚可以休息时，下一个任务就来了。我们站在那里配合教官，先把头用力的往右边转，然后用脚快速蹬地，这个动作叫做往右看，我们这次的动作并没有人捣乱，所以我们几分钟就OK了这个动作。

教官十分满意，于是就要给我们表演节目，要我们热烈鼓掌，其实爸爸小时候跟我说过，他们每分钟都是拍好几百次掌，很累的，所以我知道教官在训练我们的力量，于是我们都十分热烈的鼓掌，教官叫同学们上来表演，看谁能被同学的表演给逗笑，很多人都笑了，被教官给抓了上去，但我一直很镇定，因为我知道我一定不能笑，笑了就会让教官失望，教官在训练我们的意志力。

到了第二个教官训练我们的时候，我们明显有气无力，无精打采，我们已经在烈日下站了一个多小时了，有许多同学经受不了烈日的折磨都退出了，可还有大部分同学选择了坚持，虽然我已头晕眼花，可我也不打算退出，因为坚持就是胜利，我不能让老师失望，于是我又迷迷糊糊的在那坚持，有和教官一起把剩下的所有项目都练习完了，当军训完毕，我飞一般的冲出学校，大喊：终于结束了！

这次训练让我明白，军训是很苦的，不是轻易的就能熬过的，做什么都需坚持，不能半途而废。

军训已经进行到第三天了，我也开始渐渐适应这严格的军事化训练了。今天的训练没有前两天那么累了，主要还是练齐步走，正步走，跑步走。因为教官说要找时间把我们班的训练成果展示给大家看，所以我们训练的格外认真，卖力，教官更是喊口号喊的嗓子都哑了。

下午的时候，一个教官在我们训练时来挑人，把我叫了出来，让我踢了几个正步，走了几个齐步，就把我挑走了，把我加进了一个新的队伍。这是由各个班挑出来的人组成的队列方阵。我想：既然我被叫了出来，就说明我表现的还不错。但是我不能因此骄傲自满，而是还要再接再厉，继续努力。只有这样才不会给我们班丢脸，才不会辜负老师和教官对我的期望。也只有这样，我才能在军训中磨炼自己的意志，塑造全新自我。

下午五点钟，家长来接我们了，学校放了一天假，让大家回家整理仪容仪表。明天，我还要用最饱满的热情，迎接新的挑战。

High school is very important in one’s lifetime. Marcel Hirscher continued his dominant start to the alpine skiing World Cup season with yet more milestones on Sunday.

The Austrian, seeking an unprecedented fifth consecutive overall title, became the first man to win three successive giant slalom races at the Alta Badia venue, in Italys Dolomite mountains.

He claimed the World Cup lead from Aksel Lund Svindal, moving 20 points ahead of the Norwegian -- who was 28th, following his two speed-event wins in preceding days at nearby Val Gardena.

Hirscher claimed his fourth victory this season, and his third in giant slalom -- a technical discipline where he already leads by 134 points after only four rounds.

He was 0.19 seconds ahead of Norways Henrik Kristoffersen after the two runs, while Frances Victor Muffat-Jeandet was third.

今天开心极了！

我觉得在八月这个炎炎夏日，校园里穿着军装的师弟师妹们是最美丽的风景。在现在的我的眼里，他们都是最勇敢最能干的——超过四十度，但是尽管是正午，他们都在太阳底下站军姿。这种精神目前我是不会有的了。而且他们的嗓子很好，很有激情，喊出来的口号都是很洪亮的。

当军人真苦啊!每天要进行这么乏味的训练;天这么热，连鞋子都散发出烤糊的气味儿;太渴了，能喝点水就好了;军训一点也不好玩啊……我站在那儿胡思乱想，当初的兴奋、好奇一扫而光。游离的眼光一扫，突然发现教官们跟我们一样，也都在太阳下晒着，与我们不同的是，他们像一座座威严的雕像。

坚持，忍耐，再坚持，再忍耐……漫长的坚持和忍耐之后，第一个上午终于胜利挺过去了。

虽然很累，我心里还是美美的，因为我没有倒下。雷锋说过：困难像弹簧，你弱它就强。我要强硬起来，在困难面前做个强者。困难，你来吧，我等着你!

what relation is the best between teachers and students.A teacher can treat a

student in two ways .One is strict, and the other is friendly. Most teachers

prefer the first way.To start with, we certainly have to admit that strictness

is very effective, especially to the naughty pupils.

As pupils we aren’t able to control ourselves well or fix our attention on

one thing for a long time. We do most things because they are interesting or we

feel like doing. We are always looking out of the window in class. Sometimes, we

get to play games and forget our homework. On this occasion, strictness is a

must. It not only forces us to do the right thing, but also helps us develop a

good learning habit, which is of great importance during our whole life .In

other words, it is the first step to success.Still, everything has two sides.

Its weak points are very obvious. You see, there’re top students in a class,

where average students make up the majority. Then teachers’ orders or

suggestions are for the majority, not for top students. However, top students

always have their own study plans and prefer special homework, so orders usually

won’t take great effect on them.

Maybe you have thought out that teachers can give orders only to the

majority and set some freedom to top students. However, it’s impossible .For a

whole class, teachers couldn’t give order to part of the class, for the majority

would question why they needn’t do such work, but we need? It would be probable

that they think teachers treat them not equally, and will not obey teachers’

orders any more. This is a difficulty for teachers.It also has another

disadvantage——the communication problem .Since teachers are strict, we never

tell teachers our personal affairs or secrets. Mostly we just tell them to our

friends, but as students too, they couldn’t help to solve our problem, such as

puppy love, communication problems or study problems .Not being solved

completely, they always disturb us, influencing our daily life and study. I’m

sure that you think that making friends with teachers can solve the problem, and

you are eager to do so as well. But if we do so, new problems will come out .You

see, an adult couldnt control himself well at times, let alone us students.

However if teachers are our friends, I doubt whether their orders will take

effect any more .You see, have we ever treated our friends’ orders as orders? We

think they’re only jokes. This is another difficulty for teachers.Additionally,

our parents have the same problem. Yes, we need to be friends, but not complete

friends. We need to keep a certain distance, making us communicate well and

willing to take your orders. I remember a story.One day, a lady had her rest

room decorated. And a skilled worker was bricking up the wall. Seeing large

cracks between the bricks, she questioned why. The worker told her after this

summer, the bricks would become bigger, and those cracks would disappear.That is

not only decoration, but also communication. The principle is the same.

当太阳慢慢移动着它硕大的身躯，我们已经开始了早晨的军训生活。太阳发出万丈光芒，温暖着大地，驱走严寒。此时我们赞美着它。正在站立军姿的我们犹如座座屹立的小山。虽不巍峨，但也挺拔。在教官的知道下，我们动作标准，整齐划一，纹丝未动。哪怕是只飞虫落在脸上，也是丝毫不敢移动下早已僵硬的身体，亦不去抬手将它驱走。因为我怕教官的责罚，更怕影响队列的整齐度。教官也总是给于我们鼓励，使我们斗志更加旺盛。当我们踏着整齐的步子，喊着嘹亮的口号，统一的着装。我们真的感觉，我们不是新生，而是个刚刚入伍的新兵。刚进入大学的我们也许永远不会明白，单单一个军姿钠会有如此多的要求?双脚分成60度.五指并拢.大拇指指向食指第2关节处，中指紧贴裤子中缝.收腹.挺胸.提臀.收肩.双肩自然下垂.眼睛平视前方，这些要求让我们知道什么叫做军人!

太阳移动至我们头上时，我们最盼望的就是教官发出“解散”的口令声。这也许是我们在军训中最乐意听到的两个字了!这样我们会回的休息的时间，休息的时间在军训显得如此珍贵。我们会在这个时间里尽量让自己的身体得到放松，尽可能的让身体能量得到补充。床是这么的舒服.. 如果说早上的军训是大餐前的开胃菜的话，我愿意把下午的军训生活比做完税的压轴戏。炎炎烈日，烈日下的我们挺拔的身姿，刺眼的阳光，晒地眼睛只能微微睁开，脸晒红了，晒黑了，甚至晒掉皮了，衣服湿了，腿疼了，脚肿了。可我们没有退缩没有倒下...汗珠顺着发梢，慢慢流下，淌过脸庞，低落在干裂的大地。额头上的汗水在阳光的照耀下，闪着晶莹的光彩。偶尔有微风催过，带来些思思凉意。在军训场上撒下晶莹的汗水。皮肤就这么一日一日变红，再变黑。我们就这样一天一天张大，再老练。十八`九岁的年纪承载无数梦想的声明，在训练场上明白了什么叫坚毅;当绿草被热浪风干，当鲜花被骄阳晒得地下高贵的头，我们口号嘹亮，步伐整齐地从它们身边经过。离开了一朵花儿的绚烂，天上有一朵白云飘过，我们明白了什么是坚强。我们期待在场酣畅淋漓的大雨，浇灭这烈日下的炎热，滋润下干旱的大地，那样我们也许会休息两天。可是天空依然请抗，太阳依然毒辣..

The after-class activities in my school are colorful. Every day we play basketball, football, do rope skipping and so on. But I like the Month of Science and Technology and the Cultural Festival most. In those days, we have a chance: to show ourselves to all the students. We can invent something with some classmates. And we can act in a play or make a speech or take part in the competition of singing. I enjoy myseff in those activities.
