As the National Day came, I have a vacation, so I made the plan to go out

and travel to the different places. Last year, I went to the big cities, like

Shanghai, there were so many people, I could hardly see the tourist site. So

this year, I decided to go to the small place, Wu Zhou. But the result is almost

the same, so many people were around everywhere.

When I arrived at Wu Zhou, I was attracted by its beautiful scenery, though

the city is small, the water and the mountain are around the city, which makes

the city beautiful and casual. The city is famous for the food, especially the

restaurant which below the Baiyun mountain. I thought it maybe a little more

people, so I woke up early in the morning for avoiding the summit time. I came

to the restaurant at about 7 o’clock, there were a lot of people standing in the

long line. It needs to take about two hour for me to get a table!

Now I have learned a lesson, it is better not to take a trip in the

festival, I need to miss the time if I want to travel in a comfortable way.

At present, many teenagers smoke. I dont think its a good phenomenon. It

must be stopped, for smoking is harmful in many ways.

First, smoking is bad for our health. As we start smoking, its so

difficult to give up, because the tobacco contains a drug called nicotine, which

can get us into the habit of smoking. When we go without nicotine, our bodies

will feel sick.

Second, smoking is so dangerous. When we smoke in bed, we may kill

ourselves as well as burn down our houses, for burning cigarette ends may cause

a big fire. And if we threw the cigarette ends anywhere, it would also cause a

fire disaster.

Furthermore, once we smoke in public, we may make other people feel

uncomfortable as well.

Accordingly, for the sake of your and others’ health, please dont

smoke.

The air we breathe is so freely available that we take it for granted. Yet without it we could not survive more than a few minutes. For the most part, the same air is available to everyone, and everyone needs it. Some people use the air to sustain them while they sit around and feel sorry for themselves. Others breathe in the air and use the energy it provides to make a magnificent life for themselves.

Opportunity is the same way. It is everywhere. Opportunity is so freely available that we take it for granted. Yet opportunity alone is not enough to create success. Opportunity must be seized and acted upon in order to have value. So many people are so anxious to "get in" on a "ground floor opportunity", as if the opportunity will do all the work. One night Mr Lee was driving his wife home from work. She was a nurse in a

hospital. It was almost midnight and she was quite tired out. She soon fell

asleep. Mr Lee looked at her and smiled.

Mr Lee was a careful and experienced driver. He knew it was safer to drive

slowly on a dark night. After some time he noticed a car following him. It was

travelling very fast. Suddenly it overtook his car.

help. Mr and Mrs Lee got into their car and continued their journey home.

Yesterday was Teachers Day. It was a great day for all the teachers and also a happy time for us students. In the morning.we went to school early and put a bunch of flowers on our class masters desk to give him a big surprise. Nowadays, with the development of technology, many young people stay

indoors and play computer all the time. Especially for those who stay up very

late or go out to play for fun until midnight, then they wake up at noon the

next day. This is the unhealthy lifestyle, and they need to make some
