When China was hungry for their first world title to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the founding of the Peoples Republic of China table tennis player Rong Guotuan made their dream come true.

Rong became New Chinas first world champion after he won the mens singles title at the 25th World Table Tennis Championships, in former West Germany on April 5, 1959.

Before the championships, the team had pinned their gold hopes on the mens team. But their dream of a world team title was destroyed by the Hungarian team in the semifinal match, losing three games to five.

景物描写，是指对自然环境和社会环境中的风景、物体的描写。景物描写主要是为了显示人物活动的环境，使读者身临其境。恰如其分的景物描写不仅能烘托气氛，折射人物心理，还能推动情节发展。

一、景物描写主要有以下几个作用。

1、交代故事发生的时间、地点，渲染气氛，设置背景。 月色很美，月亮洒下淡淡的一片黄晕，树也像喝了惬意的月光酒，将自己的影子映到墙上，在风中微微摇摆着。门前的小河里，萤火虫飞来飞去，时而为芦苇点一盏亮灯，时而为柳树做一个发夹……一切都是那么宁静，只是偶尔传来几声蛙鸣。（用景物描写，交代事情发生的时间、地点，渲染了一个美丽、安静、和谐的氛围）

一夜细雨，天空阴得几欲滴水。在空蒙的氤氲尽处，一缕荒烟，几点残红。那绺早樱，缓缓飘入泥淖，发出零丁的叹息。偶一寒鸦点水而过，却被风中渗出的声响惊得高飞。 2、渲染气氛，烘托人物心情

景物描写都是溶入了人的情感的，周围的环境美与当时作者的心境有必然的关联，其时人物的心情好环境就美丽的，心情不好环境就暗淡的。俗语云“马上看将军，花间看美人”。 我和她快步来到讲台。一切静悄悄的,老师和同学都目不转睛地注视着我们。窗外，桃花绽开，鸟儿啾啾地叫着，赏心悦目。

她笑了，笑得那么真诚、友善。老师赞许地点点头，同学们发出"啧啧"的赞叹声，我觉得自己俨然是一个小化学家,窗外鸟儿欢快地唱着歌，我快飘飘然了。

3、借景比喻、作为记叙的线索

栀子花不仅作为背景，而且赋予比喻意义，增添了文章浓浓的诗情画意。 静谧的夜，窗外游丝般的雨勾起无端思绪。我闭上眼，一丝熟悉的清香在微微潮湿的空气中荡漾。哦，栀子花又开了吗？刹那间我又回忆起那个让我怦然心动的瞬间……

那是个栀子花开的季节空气中都浮动着馥郁的香气。晚上，做完了作业，我揉了揉发酸的眼晴。好累哦，下楼走走吧！…… 爸爸踮了踮脚，把枝头那一朵摘下，理理妈妈细碎的头发，微笑着轻轻把那朵花儿小心地插在妈妈发间，那纯洁的白盛开在乌黑的头发上，妈妈像个十八岁的少女那样微微低下了头……

4、展示人物性格 这时候，我的脑里忽然闪出一幅神异的图画来：深蓝的天空中挂着一轮金黄的圆月，下面是海边的沙地，都种一望无边的碧绿的西瓜，其间有一个十一二岁的少年，项带银圈，手握一柄钢叉，向一匹猹尽力的刺去，那猹却将身一扭，反从他的胯下逃走了。

这幅画是少年闰土月夜瓜地刺猹图。通过“深蓝的天空”、“金黄的圆月”及“一望无边的的碧绿的西瓜”的景物描写烘托出一个英俊、活泼的少年闰土。 在无边的暗夜里，一簇簇的篝火烧起来了。在风雨，在烂泥里跌滚了几天的战士们，围着这熊熊的野火谈笑着，湿透的衣服上冒起一层雾气，洋瓷碗里的野菜“嗞—嗞”地响着……

这段环境描写很好地烘托红军战士生起篝火后的欢乐情绪，说明无名战士用生命保存下来的七根火柴发挥了巨大的作用，给部队给同志们带来了温暖和力量，从而赞颂了无名战士的革命品质，突出了全篇的中心意思。

二、进行景物描写，应该注意以下几点：

l、精细观察，抓住景物特征描写。只有抓住特征写风景，才能做到真，“好让读者看完以 后，闭上眼就立刻能想象出你所写的风景”。

2、要选好写景的时机和写景的角度。风景描写只有在适当的时候，在

才不至于把局面弄糟。

3、要体现地方色彩。鲁迅指导青年作者时提出：“现在世界环境不同，艺术上也必须 有地方色彩，庶不至于千篇一律。”又说：“地方色彩，也能增画的美和力，自己生长其地 ，看惯了，或者不觉得什么，但在别地方的人，看起来是觉得非常开拓眼界，增加知识的。 ”

4、写景应渗透人物的感情。写景不应该是自然主义的纯客观的描绘。王国维在《人间 词话》里把境界分为“无我之境”和“有我之境”。所谓“有我之境”即“物皆著我之色彩 ”，作者或人物的思想感情作用于周围的自物景物，在所写的景物上直接渗透作者的感情。

以乐景反衬祥 林嫂的悲剧，更增强了作品对旧社会的批判力量。

三、与四季和心理相关的写景示例

春天：春天到了，柳树伸展柔软的枝条，随风飘荡，像在空中跳舞。桃花张开了粉红的笑脸，与我们打招呼。

新柳夹道，枝头舒展，一片鲜嫩的绿色，这可爱的年轻的垂柳，像妩媚多情的伶俐少女，温柔轻盈；像垂披秀发的古代美人，婆娑起舞，像凌波微步的月中仙子，万般风流。
