However, people were much more stable and care-free when our grandparents were children; they did not have to learn a second language in order to get a better job, or read a lot in order to get informed. Yet in our age, these are supposed to be the responsibility of young people.

Another discomfort of our age is that we are experiencing interpersonal alienation. With the development of communication technology, people in fact become alienated with friends and relatives since they could be so easily accessed via phone or email. Too often we feel that few of our friends are true friends, without the traditional feeling of mutual affection which could only be created by longtime apart. But several decades ago, people treasured their friends and maintained relatively close interpersonal relations, which is much more enjoyable than the estrangements we are experiencing.

The last factor that has made our age so uncomfortable is the abusive use of technology. Although it brings much convenience, it essentially changes human – we are no longer the master of tools, but instead the slaves of devices. We rush to metro station in order to catch an early train, sit in front of radioactive computers all day long in order to get our work done, and stay in air-conditioned rooms all summer without experiencing the natural changes outside thick cement walls. Several decades ago, people could still live closer to nature and make rational use of modern technology, which to me is the essence of human living experience.

However, the comparison between different times is itself ridiculous. The criteria could not be easily determined, and opinions are highly personal. Anyway, we have a longer life span, more advanced medical facilities, and easier traffic than our grandparent when they were children, and we should treasure the present experience. So I make up my mind to study hard and pursue learning as much as possible. I’m greatly convinced that knowledge can change my life. Therefore, I often go to the quiet study room where many people study there. By working so hard, I get good grades in the exams.

Secondly, student activities play an important role in our University life. To be honest, the student Union is a good place where one can develop social skills, get his abilities trained. I take part in many student activities. For example, I’ m a volunteer, teaching the kids to learn to dance and write. I think it’s meaningful for everyone to give a hand to others. I can also do some jobs in the Student Union, including receiving and sending fast mail, selling papers and magazines. I think they’re unforgettable and worthwhile experiences for me.

Thirdly, I also visit the library constantly. It’s said that “shelves of books, oceans of knowledge”, so I read books that I’m interested in. In this way, I can share stories with my new friends and it also changes my horizons .When I’m sad, lost or in trouble, staying the library makes me quiet and comfortable. After all, every life has bad moments as well as good ones, and the library for me is a support in bad moments. So it’s wise choice for me to stay in the library.

In short, my life in university is busy but valuable. Thanksgiving Day is usually a family day. People always celebrate with big

我的妈妈还有一个爱好，就是下跳棋。有一次，我要妈妈陪我下棋，妈妈爽快地答应了。进行几次后，总是妈妈比我先走完1、2步，总是妈妈赢。我以后还要多练习才行呀!妈妈真厉害!

英雄这两个字不是谁都被称呼的，他在我们心中是高尚的、是伟大的、是我们的好榜样!

我心目中的英雄他有着能让我产生前进的动力、能让我时刻记得他是我学习的榜样，每时每刻都忘不了他那高尚的品质、让人仰慕的胸怀，自己宁愿被别人称做个傻子，也不阻碍他为人民服务的一颗温暖而又朴素的心。大家可能已经猜到了，我心目中的英雄就是-----雷锋

雷锋，原名(雷正兴)，出生在湖南省长沙市望城区一个贫苦农民家庭，一名普普通通的中国人民解放军战士，全心全意为人民服务的同志、伟大的共产主义战士。作为一名普通的中国人民解放军战士，雷锋在短暂的一生中帮助了无数人，他的精神激励着一代又一代人的学习，可却在世上只活了22岁，多么令人感到悲痛啊!

雷锋的一生虽只经历了21个花开的季节，可是他的模范事迹和高尚思想却在军内外产生巨大的影响。1963年1月7日，中华人民共和国国防部命名他生前所在班为“雷锋班”。毛泽东、周恩来、刘少奇、朱德、陈云、林彪、邓小平等党和国家领导人为之题词。中国人民解放军总政治部、中国共产主义青年团中央委员会、中华全国总工会和中华全国妇女联合会先后发出向雷锋学习的号召。

1963年3月5日，毛泽东曾为雷锋题词及发表号召，此后每年的3月5日都成为官方指定的“学雷锋日”，政府引领全中国掀起学习雷锋精神的热潮，雷锋的名字响遍全国，并在60至80年代间被塑造成为中国大陆的模范人物。"雷锋精神就是全心全意为人民服务的精神，即共产主义人生观或社会主义的集体主义价值观”。就是政治上紧跟共产党，工作中努力，日常生活中主动帮助别人、勤俭节约。 雷锋，我心目中的英雄、雷锋，全世界心中的楷模!

Today I go to the zoo with my family. I see many animals. I see the monkey the panda the giraffe and so on. I am very impressed by the peacock it is so beautiful especially when it opens its tail. But the thing is that the peacock won’t open its tail easily it is so arrogant. I always wait for it to open its tail.

今天我和我的家人去动物园。我看到许多动物。我看到了猴子熊猫长颈鹿等等。孔雀给我留下了非常深刻的印象它是如此美丽特别是当它打开它的尾巴的时候。但问题是孔雀不会轻易打开它的尾巴它是如此傲慢。我总是等待着它开屏。
