It is generally believed that a high diploma guarantees a promising future. Some people identify high diplomas with profound knowledge and exceptional competence. Companies also tend to emphasize the academic achievement of a job candidate. Like it or not, there does exist a social reality – the higher diplomas one gets, the more popular he becomes。

On the contrary, other people claim that a high diploma doesn’t automatically translate into knowledge. A diploma, in their eyes, is only the acknowledgment of one’s educational experience rather than a guarantee of one’s ability. Therefore, we can never measure the depth of one’s knowledge by the grade of one’s diploma. Besides, many knowledgeable people don’t have a high diploma. Take Bill Gates for example. His dropping out of college cannot deny the fact that he is one of the world’s most learned men。

So I must say no one should ever equate a diploma with knowledge, because a diploma is nothing but a proof of a short-term study while genuine knowledge needs one’s lifelong devotion。

How to protect our environment

We all know it is becoming more and more important to protect our environment well.We should stop cutting down trees ,dropping litter everywhere and throwing waste before it is processed. It has caused lots of problems such as much rich land becomes desert;Rivers become dirty ;The air is becoming worse and worse ;The temperature is becoming hotter and hotter.So we must do something to change the situation.Wed better walk or ride bikes to work or go to school instead of driving a car,We mustnt use plastic bags.Our government must take some measures to prevent factories producing smoking etc.

下午，随着上课铃响，同学们陆续走进教室，英语老师也捧着试卷慢慢的走进教室。老师站在讲台上严肃地说：“今天我们考试，请大家准备好考试用的东西。”我一听，呆呆地坐在那，想“唉，竟然是英语考试，这可是我最怕的事情，啊，真是悲剧啊！”想完，只见老师发下试卷，说：“现在开始考试。”唉，只能写了。于是，我硬着头皮，乱写一通。

咦？这个怎么写呀！于是我想呀，想呀……忽然，我觉得试卷正面好像有这道题目，于是，我把试卷翻过来，看了一下，果然有这道题目，然后，我把填的答案抄过来，这样，这道题目就做完了。

过了半个小时，我的试卷做完了，看了看时间，快要下课了，于是我检查了一遍。过了一分钟，下课铃响了，我把试卷交了上去，静静的离开了教室。

Im in my third year now in Environmental Sciences. And what do I want to do with my B.S. once I graduate? Become a librarian. Yes, I know it sounds completely random and unrelated, but thats my master plan. Right now Im preparing for all those crazy grad school applications that Ill be sending in next fall. I began thinking about what kind of skills I have and what kind of jobs would complement my natural interests. Ive thought about becoming a librarian dozens of times growing up but for some strange reason, I never took it seriously. But it popped back into my mind as I was contemplating all this. If theres anything you can get out of my strange journey I hope its the comfort and reassurance that you dont always have to know what you want to do in the near future. And its okay to change majors or even pursue a major that may not necessarily be related to your future career. You should enjoy what youre studying. But also seek after what you really love.

Resultsis more important now.But it is difficult for many students to study it.Now I make some suggestion,maybe can help you.First,you should take notes and take them here and there.When you’re free,you can take them out and read it.Next,you should read Results loudly.Many students know many grammars,but talking with others is hard.

So reading is very important.It can make progress in your talking and listening,and it can also make you get excited,let you have a nice day.Then,talk with people in it’s interesting and very used.Finally,most importantly,try your best to learn English.No Resultspains,no gains.I hope you can improve your LearnGood luck!

On the other hand, the college town is always far away from the downtown, so it creates a quiet environment for students to study. When I went to visit the college town in Guangzhou, I was impressed by the clean and quiet environment. In some schools, many commercial shops have moved into the campus, which distract the students from study. But the college town pays attention to the study phenomenon.
