天我和爸爸妈妈一起去逛华都超市。到了华都，我们兵分两路，爸爸妈妈去购物，我则迫不及待地奔向三楼的图书区，准备到知识的海洋里畅游一番。一到图书区，我就看到了放在柜台显眼处的《福尔摩斯探案经典》——那是我最喜欢的侦探故事书。一翻开书页，我就被生动有趣的文字和惟妙惟肖的配图吸引住了。我一头扎进书里，像海绵一样贪婪地吸收着书中的知识。时间飞逝，不知不觉中，我已经看了一个多小时了。爸爸妈妈买完东西，走到我身旁，叫了好几声，我都听不见，依然沉浸在迷人的故事情节里不可自拔，当爸爸过来拍拍我的肩膀，我才从遥远的大不列颠回到了中国。

我问爸爸妈妈，我很喜欢这本书，能不能把它买下来?就这个问题，我们家分成了两大阵营，展开了争论!妈妈一方反对，她的理由有两条：一是这本书29.8元，挺贵的，但它只有引人入胜的故事情节，不像我国古典的四大名著，没有永世流传的文学和保存的价值;二是如果买回去，看过一遍，就丢在角落、束之高阁了，还不如去青少年读书基地借阅，看完就还掉，又不浪费钱。而我的意见是：我在青少年读书基地借阅区翻箱倒柜、挖地三尺找不到这本书，就是买，柜台也没有呀!我认为要买。这时，爸爸表态了，爸爸语重心长地对妈妈说：“开卷有益，知识无价，不能用金钱来衡量，不要让孩子认为知识是不值钱的!”最后，妈妈在我和爸爸的轮番劝说、狂轰滥炸下，终于爽快地买单了!捧着心爱的书，我心里暗暗念叨：难道这就是知识无价的力量?
