christmas is the most important festival in the western world. it falls on december 25th. when my mother and i stayed in america, we were invited by one of my mother‘s friends to have christmas with an american family. we bought some presents for our american friends on our way to their house.

In the afternoon, we split into three and a half hours, and in the first half hour we watched the wonderful programs for all the teachers and students. 1 to 3 second half an hour every grade class on the playground jump ballroom dancing, 4 to 6 class in their class activities, is the most interesting part of lucky draw, I take out to 6, and we also graffiti on the blackboard. Later， people imitated the angels， and on the night of Christmas Eve， they spread the news of Jesuss birth. Until today， it evolved into the good news. Although Christmas Eve is a festival for foreigners， we are also excited about this day.

On Christmas Eve， each family places a Christmas tree according to tradition. That night， the family gathered in the living room， surrounded by Christmas trees singing Christmas songs， exchanging gifts， sharing the joys and sorrows of life， expressing their inner blessings and love， and praying for happiness in the coming year. But we live on campus， we cant go home.

We went back to the dormitory， took out the apple， and replaced it with someone else. Christmas is a time for miracles.It is also a time when the dull things of daily life and the forecast of human hature gives way to a spiritual awakening.Allow me to share with you one truly wonder of Christmas.

Our miracle story comes from an incident that occurred in Flanders, Belgium, at the dawn of World War I. On December 24th ,1914, German and English troops faced each other from the relative safety of their ditches across which no mans land lying between them. Suddenly, the silence was broken, not by gunfire, but by the strains of Silent Night arising from the German position. It wasnt long before the English troops responded with a Yuletide hymn of their own. Then an amazing sight surprised the eyes of the English soldiers. A German soldier holding a small tree arranged with lighted candles began to walk across the land toward the English lines. This miraculous scene occasioned the declaration of a truce followed by English and German troops greeting one another, exchanging small gifts and singing songs of Christmas. Word of this incredible phenomenon reached the High Command of both sides.

On Christmas Day, both armies moved from their positions to engage in the killing of war at other battlefields. However, on Christmas Eve 1914 on a field in Flanders, there was Peace on Earth.

Christmas is a truly amazing phenomenon. The day and season perpetuate a miraculous, historical event as an annual presence that challenges an often rough, cruel, and egotistical creature -- the human being -- to become open and amenable to their Creators vision. The great miracle of Christmas continues in the performance of humane acts, moral honesty, and in the spiritual awareness of millions struggling to lead a life of grace.

Christmas as a grand festival of the west, in addition to the Christmas tree, also cannot little taste delicious food. Christmas Day is very popular around the world, when that day comes, we can

see the Christmas products sell everywhere, though Christmas Day is not

originating from China, in our country, more and more people spend that day. A

foreigner pointed out that Christmas meant to be grateful for them, while for

Chinese people, it was just a day for celebrating. To me, Christmas indeed means

a day to have fun.

When I was small, I did not have the concept of Christmas, because in my

mind, I only knew Chinese traditional festivals, I liked Spring Festival best, I

could get a lot of money from parents. When I went to high school, all of my

friends would talk about Christmas Day when the day was near, so I started to

know it. Almost every young people like Christmas, but if you ask them what the

meaning of the day, less of them can answer.

The meaning of Christmas Day is to remind people of Jesus’s birth, it is so

important for the western people, but for me, I only want to have fun, everyone

is celebrating it, so I join them, being happy, that’s enough for me.

If Santa Claus gave me a gift, I hope he gave every man a love in the world, love small animals in the world, cherish every little life in the world. Instead of a cage bound it, it should belong to the colorful nature, we should let it free to life.

绚丽的圣诞树顶上赫然架着一个个闪闪发光的星星，围绕着一圈圈七彩的小铃铛和发光的彩灯，树下摆放着琳琅满目的礼物盒。墙上挂着精致的圣诞长青环，餐桌上的整整齐齐的蜡烛温暖而温馨，火鸡光看着就让人垂涎欲滴，小屋里还回荡着一阵一阵的欢笑声和歌声，在这温暖而舒适的小屋里，充满着喜庆的气氛。喧闹的大街，车水马龙的街道，到处人山人海，每个人的脸上都洋溢着过节的喜悦。说不定圣诞老人正在某一个角落，悄悄地窥探着。等孩子们睡熟睡时，乘着雪橇，迎着飘雪，带着他的好朋友——驯鹿从天而降，蹑手蹑脚的把孩子们心爱的礼物装进袜子里。这就是我心中的圣诞节。

如果圣诞老人送给我礼物，我希望他送给世界上的每个人一份爱心，关爱世界上的小动物们，珍惜世界上的每一条小生命。而不是用笼子去束缚它，它本应属于多姿多彩的大自然，我们应该让它自由自在地生活。
