您十分“厉害”，一来就让汽车在马路上“聚会”，原本单调的马路因您的到来而变得喧闹起来，汽车奏起了喇叭交响曲，五彩缤纷的灯光在马路上闪烁着，您用您那宽广的心胸包容着世间万物，这也是一般人做不到的。

我“敬佩”您是一位优秀的时尚达人。您每次来都会给地球换上美丽的衣服：长裙的、短裙的、长裤的、短裤的……各式各样，您把飘逸的白裙给地球换上了，使平平常常的地球似人间仙境一样神奇，如不食人间烟火的仙女一样高雅。

在这里，有很多人是您忠诚的守护者，整日盼望着您的到来。如口罩老板、小偷……因为您让口罩老板生意红火，让小偷有机可趁，您简直是他们的幸运神。

您每次光临地球都会考考我们的视力：用一条长又厚的白布遮住了我们的周围，只有眼力超群的人才能经得住您的考验。而那些失败的人只能接受残酷的惩罚——轻则受伤，重则死亡。

“雾霾红色警报，南京中小学今天停课”。

“什么!哇塞!太好了!”听到这句话后，全班都沸腾了。但有的人还不相信自己的耳朵，跑到那个拿着报纸读出这令人兴奋的消息的同学那里，扒在报纸上盯着字看了好久，最后又欢呼了一声。

可是听到这消息，我一点都高兴不起来。

雾霾，名副其实，就是雾和霾的总称。但是雾和霾并不是同一种物质，它们的区别是很大的。

霾，就是灰霾，也就是空气中的一些灰尘，杂物混合在一起的浑浊现象。远远望去，就像是黄山云海般，让人误以为自己身处云端。可是霾终究和云雾不同，它的危害可是不小的。大家可以想象，如果公路上一片浑浊，交通事故是不可避免。人们吸进那些有害物质对身心健康也是一种危害。霾也分很多级，有轻微霾，轻度霾，中度霾和重度霾。在我看了新闻后，发现上海那片城市已经云雾缭绕了，却只是中度霾，可见如果是重度霾，在那一片灰蒙蒙，不见天日的场景下，会发生什么令人惊悚的事。

至于雾，它经常出现在在我们南京地区。是由空气中的水蒸气遇冷而液化成的小水滴悬浮在离地较近的空气层中而形成的，就像是地上的云，一片白茫茫。根据每次出现的雾的不同特点可以把雾分成很多种类，有辐射雾、平流雾、蒸发雾、烟雾等等。当然，它的危害也是不小的，漂流在空气中的不明物质会诱发像感冒、哮喘的症状。这可苦了最近一直感冒加咳嗽的我了。

雾和霾分开来都那么令人畏惧，这可倒好，这次咱南京惹来了雾霾!“溪月行遭雾雨霾”，大诗人苏轼遇到雾霾也要感叹一句，何况我们这些只能眼巴巴地遵循学校的安排的学生?

雾霾可谓是我们生活中一大恐怖分子，结合了雾和霾的所有特征的它对人体的伤害那是更加加剧了。我们都知道癌，那可是一种让人谈癌变色的不治之症啊。雾霾，还真能致癌--由许多灰尘、杂质、有毒颗粒、城市生活中的排气物组成的雾霾，如果它经常被人吸进体内，就会引起一些疾病，癌当然是这些疾病当中的“顶级掠食者”。

当然，雾霾的形成也离不开生活中人们的“功劳”啊!比方说现在车辆排放的尾气，工厂生产东西时流出的大量有害气体，许多大路已经灰尘漫天相关部门却从不安排人去清理。

如果人们还不重视这些，或许雾霾来临，会成为一项“自然规律”。

在此希望我亲爱的同学们及时做好保养、清洁，在家自修的同时也安心地等待雾霾逆袭后卷土回家的好消息。

一、句式多变，词汇丰富。

鉴于这部分的写作要求和难度，不论是写书信还是编故事，由于100词的字数要求，考生必须要学会用具体的，多样化的语句来描写某样东西或某件事情。有的学生从头至尾都用"Thereis"的句式，而且重复多遍，看来单调乏味，很难得高分。我们不妨用主动和被动句式、各种不同的从句、动词不定式、强调句、虚拟语气等等，当然我们要写的句式必须是自己熟悉的，有把握的。

词汇量的大小影响写作成绩。试想你形容餐馆good，食品good，氛围good，那也太无聊了，我们平时就积累一些词汇，比如餐馆cleanandtidy，食品niceandtasty，氛围friendlyandpleasant等等，而不至于到考试时言之无物。

二、问题都答，加上连词。

如果第二单元你要给笔友写一份回信，信中有这么一个问题Haveyougotafavoriterestaurant?Tellmeaboutthefoodandwhatyoulikeabouttherestaurant。这个问题看似非常简单，但如果你就回答一句Ihavegotmyfavoriterestaurant.可以，但如果你不学会怎么扩展这个话题，那一封信中根本就写不了上百个单词。因此，学会拓展话题这一点在这部分中尤为重要，如你可以写餐馆的名字、位置、特色等等。

如果你选择编故事也很好。我们PET考生大多是青少年，正是想象力非常丰富的时候，很适合去编故事。但在书写的过程中，一定要注意尽量用自己有把握的语言来表达和描述。此外，既然是故事，就应该把事情发生的时间、地点、人物、过程以及结果都完整地表述出来。因此，我们在平时就把日常生活中所发生的有意义的小事儿用英文记录下来，日积月累你会发现，你的书写素材会越来越多，这种考试对你来说，将会是"apieceofcake"。

另外注意适当使用一些关联词，如and,but,so,if，使行文更加流畅。

三、平时勤练，克服畏惧。

因为该部分要求比较高，建议考生平时可以多做这样的书写练习。在学而思PET，我们会练习四五篇大作文，希望同学们平时就认真对待，描写到位，在老师的指导下，逐步明白自己的弱项在哪里，进而逐渐消除无话可写的心理恐惧，并提高写作水平。

Improve Your English Through Practice

After2 or3 years English learning, you will probably wonder how to further improve your English. When you speak, do not translate what you want to say from Chinese into English. If you do, youll get mixed up in some usages①. Youll consider“wait”as a transitive ② verb, for instance. Youll never add “to”after“listen”,but you might write “sheeps” for the plural form, though you know theyre wrong when the mistakes are pointed out.

Therefore, to improve your English, you need to practise your spoken English, and think in English. That is to say, you should build up your sense of the English language.

Grasp any chance to speak English. When you see a desk, for example, have the word in your mind; say“Whats the time? Its….”when you see a clock. In this way, youll be able to learn with ease and use with freedom. For example, youll be able to tell that“Korea Lies to the east of China.”but“Guangzhou Likes in the south of China.”without hard thinking.

Were learning English as a foreign Language. It is true that we cannot learn it without any grammatical rules. But, your sense of grammatical rules comes from constant③ use of language. Its unnecessary to recite the rules and apply④ the rules in speaking. In a word, you will improve your English only by opening your mouth to practise. Practice makes perfect.

“What if I make mistakes in speaking English?”Do not worry. You neednt be afraid of making mistakes. Even when people speak their native language, they may make various kinds of mistakes! Further, many kinds of mistakes will be rubbed off in the process of learning through practice.
