An Unforgettable Day

August 5 was a special day. It was my eighteenth birthday, on the way to become an adult. I didn’t go out with my relatives as usual, I went to Zhejiang Daily Newspaper Building to experience how an editor of Zhejiang Online Website worked. In the morning, we visited many offices, chatted with Wang Zhidong, the former CEO of Sina, and we tried to edit a report and send it to the Internet. We also had a debate about whether kids’being on-line was good. I stood on the positive side. But I must say that it’s really an unforgettable memory in my life. Under the pressure we lived our life to the fullest， and enjoyed the true interesting things that we may have never cared before. Grade 4 in junior school was a turning point in my life. My attitude to learning， my world outlook and my philosophy of life all changed. I turned to be positive and strong. I also gained many people’s true & pure friendship， both teachers ’ and classmates’. In some way， I like that kind of life， as it taught me many things I’d never learned before.

Teachers also helped me a lot. I still can’t forget that my history teacher talked to me until 10:00 p.m. on April 30th， 2003， for my application. My head teacher also encouraged me， so did my Chinese teacher. I should say， all my teachers worked very hard and always neglected their sleep and meals. in the morning, we got to the hotel where we lived. after breakfast, we began to our travel. first we took the bus to the sea park. there are so many different kinds of fishes that i couldn’t believe my eyes. we also saw the show of dolphins. then we had lunch in a restaurant. the seafood which was very famous in china was delicious.www

after lunch we went swimming. the sea was blue and beach was golden. we all enjoyed ourselves in the sea. finally we went back the hotel where we lived. we had a happy day.

in this trip, we also went to some places which were interesting and famous in dalian, went shopping and so on.

several days later, we left dalian. on our way home, we were very happy. this was the reason why we didn’t feel tired. in all, we had a good holiday.

Health has become a very important part of our life,and there are many ways to keep heathy.

First,you can eat more fruit and vegetables,and youd better drink more warn water.Next,you have to do lots of exercise.And having at least 8 hourssleep a night.Remember,dont drink coffe or tea before you go to bed,dont eat too much sugar and dont work or study too late,it will make you too tired.

Many years ago, before I moved to the city, I lived in a small town. I was so close to the nature, I could see the mountain and the clear water. I remember the town became especially beautiful after the heavy rain, the air was so fresh and I felt a little cozy, it was like a gift from god in the hot summer. The mountain looked so clear over the heavy rain, it just washed by the rain. The things around me were so green. I love living in the town, I especially like the town when it was washed by the rain. At that moment, nature and me were united, we just like a group.

Li Yan, an engineer, was born on February 9, 1965 in Beijing, China. After

he graduated from Qinghua University in 1987, he made an important decision in

his life. He decided to go to the United States for his further study. After

four years hard work, he mastered new management ideas an advanced technologies

in computer field. In 1992, he got his doctors degree. he made another

decision that to return to his motherland and started a company. However, his

wife and daughter had got used to the American way of life, so they still stay

in the United States. But they still can meet frequently, because of the

convenient transportation, and his wife and daughter often visit him in

holidays.

我的家乡，是生我养我的地方。

虽然她没有泰山那样的“一览众山小”;没有西湖的“淡装浓抹总相宜”;没有黄山的“奇松、怪石、云雾、温泉”;更没有苏州园林的小巧玲珑。但是我依然爱她，她养育了我。

我的家乡在一个小县城，那里环境不算繁华热闹，但一走进山林，仿佛就走进了人间仙境。我依稀记得，我在儿时常和奶奶一起上山找竹笋，而我就跟在奶奶身后，欣赏着不约而同向我迎面开来的小花。山上的花各种颜色都有：黄的、粉的、白的……

我经常会摘一些，回到家后，我找来一些塑料瓶，把里面灌满水，把花装进这些所谓的“花瓶”里，算是给家里增添了几分色彩吧。山上的竹子十分的多，一颗连着一棵，密密麻麻的，没有一点儿缝隙。我常抱着竹子转圈圈，直到头晕目眩才会停下。可以说，大山是我的“游乐场”。

家乡的油菜花也是一道亮丽的风景。二三月份，正是油菜花开得茂盛的时节，他们像比赛似的，谁也不输给谁，竞相争妍斗艳。油菜花的花瓣是黄色的，而下面的叶子和秸秆是青绿色的，蜜蜂常在花瓣上飞来飞去，“嗡嗡”的闹着。油菜花是一大片连着一大片，从远处望去，像一片黄色的海洋。前几个星期，我和朋友一起去了山顶——我们去放风筝。我一手拿着风筝线，一手拿着风筝，一声“预备放”，风筝就飞到了上空，我们欢呼着。过后，我们又童心未泯——玩起了捉迷藏，真是天时、地利、人和。一人蒙眼，几人躲进油菜地，几轮过，落日的余晖照在了我们身上，我们要回家了……
