The Spring Festival is the most important festival all the year round for the Chinese.

During this Spring Festival, I have a good time. First of all, I did so well in the final exam that makes my parents very happy. They say that it’s their best gift for the New Year. 大家都知道，春节是中国人最重要的节日，其隆重程度不亚于外国人的圣诞节。中国各个地区的春节习俗都与众不同，有着自己的传统色彩。今天我将要与大家说说关于我的故乡——彩云之南的春节习俗。

云南的春节习俗与北京的春节截然不同，从大年三十到元宵期间才是春节，元宵过了，春节也便完结了。云南没有腊月之分，也不吃腊八粥，所以我至今都没有尝过北京的腊八粥和腊八蒜的味道。

先来说说大年三十这天吧！这天早上我们必须去集市赶集，购买年货和做团圆饭的食材。小孩去山上捡松叶。下午要把棉被、衣服洗了，还有把浑身上下都洗干净，因为我们那里有个禁忌——从正月初一到正月初三都不能洗衣物和洗澡。大年三十晚上便是除夕夜，这是过春节的高潮。大家忙做团圆饭，家家户户的烟囱直冒白烟。团圆饭做好后，大人把孩子们捡的松叶铺在地上，当孩子们看见自己的战利品被大人夸奖时，总是要骄傲地手舞足蹈。吃团圆饭前我们还得烧纸钱祭祖，饭后才把纸灰倒掉。等这一切准备好了，大家席地而坐，毫不拘束地享受春节的团圆饭。吃完后，大人忙着捡碗，收桌子。小孩子欢欢喜喜的开始他们的“鞭炮大战”，大人围坐在电视机前守着春节联欢晚会，不想看春晚的大人就摆桌子打麻将。这其乐融融的景象持续到深夜十二点，昏昏沉沉的人们点燃爆竹，震耳欲聋的鞭炮声响彻云霄，迎来新的一年。鞭炮放完了，忙活了一天的人们倒床而睡。

睡到近午夜三点时，人们又得陆陆续续从床上爬起来，做饭吃饭。这是四点钟的“迎春饭”，因为正月初一是一年中的第一天，所以要吃饭迎接。吃完饭人们又回到被窝，一觉睡到大天亮……

My Spring Festival isecial. My uncle and my aunt came back from Shanghai. My family were very happy to keep the Spring Festival with them. And it was the most exciting festival of all the festivals.

On New Year’s Eve, my father and my uncle talked about their work together. My mum did some cooking with my aunt Grandparents and I watched the New Year TV programmes. At about six o’clock, we had a special family dinner. We all thought the dumplings were delicious.

"Try and try until you succeed." This saying shows the importance of perseverance. I have found through experience that only through hard work can we succeed.Many people have failed in their work or studies, precisely because they had no perseverance. To tell you the truth，I don t like the Spring Festival at all. When I was young I liked it very much，because I could had something tasty to eat during the Spring Festival，and I could enjoy very wonderful TV programmes，too，I also could had much free time during which I could did something I liked to do. I don t like it now， there are many reasons.

Firstly，I can t have a good time during the Festival. Every New Year s Eve something unpleasant often happens. Once I quarreled with my second brother.

Secondly，I can t relax myself during the Festival. I have to do many things，watch so many TV programmes， meet so many people，all these things make me very tired.
