Saving Water

The world is not only hungry,but also thirsty for water. This may seem strange to you, since nearly 75 % of the earths surface is covered with water. But about 97% of this huge amount is sea water, or salt water. Man can only drink and use the other 3% -- the fresh water that comes from rivers, lakes,underground, and other sources. And we cannot even use all of that, because some of it is in the form of icebergs and glaciers. Even worse, some of it has been polluted.

However, as things stand today, this small amount of fresh water, which is constantly being replaced by rainfall, is still enough for us. We all have to learn how to stop wasting our precious water. One of the first steps we should take is to develop ways of reusing it. Experiments have already been done in this field, but only on a small scale. For us, the systems are as important as the spacecraft.

Last year, I went to Guilin for travel. On the train, I felt so bored. A

girl who sat next to me was reading a book, which caught my attention. I asked

大家一定晓得石洋溪吧！它又脏又臭，路人一闻就会一阵眩晕。但是，谁又会想到，它以前竟然清澈见底，碧绿的湖面荡漾着微波，能看见溪底五彩缤纷的鹅卵石，可是现在却……唉；另外，一块工地上要建龙山小区，嫌几棵大树碍事儿，就一斧子砍下去，“啪”，刹那间，大树被劈成了两半。

这一幕幕都令人心如刀绞。请大家想一想，我们生活所需要的氧气是无穷无尽的吗？不是！是植物制造出来的。如果花草树木都被毁灭完了，那么我们难道还有生存的希望吗？只可以等待死神来抚摸你的头，送你上西天。到了那个时候，一切都已经来不及了。霎时间，一个原本生机勃勃的地球就会变得死气沉沉。而现在呢？南极上空已经出现了臭氧层空洞，二氧化碳增多使得全球升温这个消息无人不知，无人不晓……这几个惊天动地的消息，犹如利剑一般深深的刺痛了我的心灵，它震撼了我。总而言之，保护环境，人人有责。只要我们去种树、花、草，世界也将会变得美丽。

植树种花草，并非千斤之重，只不过是举手之劳罢了。而且，它既可以美化环境，也可以有益身心，这一举一动，就可以关系到全世界人民的生存，难道我们连这一点都做不到？

一个晴朗的早晨，我吃完早晨，出门晒太阳，一抬头就看到一片灰蒙蒙的天空，阳光不像从前那样明媚了，而是披了一层灰纱，我多么希望看到曾经的蓝天白云哪，为什么看不到蓝天白云了？是因为人类开了越来越多的工厂，工厂排放的污水和污气，不但污染了河水还污染了蓝蓝的天空。

人类发明了汽车、飞机，放出了数不清的污染气体，把天空变得乌黑乌黑的。人类砍伐树木，地球的绿洲也变成了沙漠。如果再开办工厂，那么河里的鱼儿会死，河水流到江里，江里的鱼儿也会死，江水流到海里，海里的鱼儿也会死去，动物都死亡了，那我们都吃什么呢？如果再不停地开车，那么空气污染会越来越严重，如果继续砍伐树木，那么有一天沙尘暴来了怎么办？总之，再这样下去，我担心会全军覆没，我怕地球也会灭亡！

这是因为从前的白云千姿百态：有的像绵羊，在天空中散步；有的像打老虎，把地上的小兔子吓跑；有的像一头大象，在天空中嬉戏。可现在的天空一片乌黑，从前的鱼儿在水里自由自在地快乐地游泳，可现在水里的鱼儿都死了。从前这茂密的森林，可现在变成了稀稀落落的一两棵树了。

总之，保护环境，从我做起，保护环境就是保护人类，拯救地球就是拯救未来！

In high school, Chinese students study very hard to fight for the future

college, while in western countries, students are spending time in taking all

kinds of activities. Though students from different countries have different

ways to spend high school time, they make the decision and take charge of their

life. This is the best age to learn knowledge, their brain can remember words

and numbers quickly. For making friends, they will probably meet their lifetime

friends. During three years, besides gaining knowledge and making friends, they

grow so fast, not only in body, but also in mind. Being independent is the main

feature. They can make a lot of decisions without asking parents for help. When

they are equipped themselves with basic skill, then they can better get used to

the new environment, which is important for future life.
