Save the Wild Animals

Many wild animals are facing the danger of extinction, because the environment that they are living in has changed greatly. For example, with the developmet of cities, the using of insecticide and serious pollution, their living areas have become narrowcr and narrower. 讨论会开始了，同学们有的说保护环境方面存在的一些问题，有的说了保护环境的重要性，有的说了保护环境的好处，还有的介绍了保护环境的好方法，现在就让我们来听听他们的心声…………

“现在河水污染非常严重，许多鱼儿虾儿在水里都快奄奄一息了。我们的餐桌上也少了鲜美可以安全食用的鱼虾。有的人为了自己一点小利捕杀青蛙，枪杀鸟儿，使我们的生活中缺少了这些可爱的青蛙、鸟儿们活泼的身影和它们动听的歌声。还有的的为了赚钱，乱砍滥伐，导致沙尘严重，空气质量变差……这些情况多么令人遗憾呀！”傅蕾气愤的说。然后又一本正经地说：“我们人类破坏环境，其实就是在搬石头砸自己的脚呀！所以我们都要增强保护环境意识，积极行动起来，保护环境，从身边做起，从点滴做起。”

邱言听了，也应和道：“的确，现在越来越多的人都不重视保护环境了。随手乱丢垃圾，随地吐痰，随便折枝等己成为许多人的“习惯”。每年有大量的树木被砍伐，数不清的河流被污染，不计其数的动物被杀害……这些现象多么令人担扰啊！我觉得大家都应该行动起来。从身边做起来，从小事做起：少丢一个垃圾，少吐一口痰，少折一根枝，每天节约一点水，节省一些电……总之，要尽力为环保出一点力。如果遇到破坏环境。我们还可以向报社投稿，呼吁大家一起保护环境。”

黄佳雯思考了一会儿，接着说：“随着我国各类工厂日渐增多，污染也随之而来。不少工厂排放的污水和废气，严重污染环境，严重危害我们的健康啊！那些缺乏环保意识老板，只顾自己赚黑心钱，毫不顾及环境的恶化和他人的安危，我们应该严惩这样的缺德老板，积极为保护环境尽自己的一份力，因为地球是我们共同的家园，我们应该齐心协力让它成为我们幸福生活的美丽乐园！”

黄曜举起小手说：“汽车是我们现在出行最常见的交通工具之一。就说我们上学，放学吧！校外的马路上常常排着长长的车龙。有时过一个路口要等三四个红灯才行，严重的交通拥挤，此起彼伏的喇叭声、吵闹声，充斥着我们的耳朵，汽车排放的尾气使天空不再蔚蓝，雾霾天气越来越多。所以，让我们一起来保护环境，绿色出行，多步行，多骑自行车，多乘公交车，既减少环境污染，又节约能源，多好呀！”

我也毫不示弱地说：“同学们，你们知道吗？我们每天都会接触许多塑料制品。比如我们最常见的塑料袋，如果这些塑料制品掩埋在土地下，完全降解需要上百年的时间。塑料在土壤中，会使环境逐渐恶化，严重影响农作物的生长。如果动物不巧吃了在这种环境生长植物，会引起消化道疾病，严重的会死亡。所以在这里，我想对大家说：“我们生活中要少用塑料制品最好是不用哦！”

王舒奇意味深长地说：“我觉得‘保护环境，人人有责’，这句话讲的非常好！我们应该从身边的一点一滴做起，做一个‘环保小卫士’，积极为保护环境作出一些贡献，那我们的家园将变得无比美好。让我们携手来保护环境，共创美好家园吧！”

是啊，保护环境，人人有责。就让我们一起行动起来，积极保护环境，使我们的地球妈妈美丽又健康这种，这样，我们的生活一定会更美丽，更幸福！

I am a student from Xinhua Middle School in Chongqing，China. Informed that

you have a vacancy for a student to serve as the spokesman for animals, I cannot

resist my inner excitement,hoping to seize the opportunity to do something for

animals .

In my mind，nothing can delight me so much as caring for animals. Wherever I

go and whatever I do, I usually keep in mind that animals are angels from the

heaven, which bring us endless comfort and pleasure. I have been a panda lover

since my childhood. Panda is so lovely that brings fun to people and they are

regarded as the treasure of our country. Unfortunately，such a rare species is

now faced with the danger of being extinct。What I am eager to do is to raise

people’s awareness of animal protection and appeal to more people to care for

our earth companies.

It is my belief that all human beings can make a difference together. I

would appreciate it if my application could get your approval.

Oceans becoming more acidicThe worlds oceans are slowly getting more acidic, say scientists.The researchers from California say the change is taking place in response to higher levels of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.The lowering of the waters pH value is not great at the moment but could pose a serious threat to current marine life if it continues, they warn.Ken Caldeira and Michael Wickett, from the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, report their concerns in the journal Nature.Increasing use of fossil fuels means more carbon dioxide is going into the air, and most of it will eventually be absorbed by seawater.

Once in the water, it reacts to form carbonic acid.Scientists believe that the oceans have already become slightly more acidic over the last century.But these researchers have tried to predict what will happen in the future by combining what we know about the history of the oceans with computer models of climate change."This level of acidity will get much more extreme in the future if we continue releasing CO2 into the atmosphere," said Dr Caldeira."And we predicted amounts of future acidity that exceed anything we saw over the last several hundred million years, apart from perhaps after rare catastrophic events such as asteroid impacts."If carbon dioxide release continues unabated, ocean pH could be reduced by as much as 0.77 units, the authors warn.It is not absolutely clear what that means for marine life, however.

Most organisms live near the surface, where the greatest pH change would be expected to occur, but deep-ocean lifeforms may be more sensitive to pH changes.Coral reefs and other organisms whose skeletons or shells contain calcium carbonate may be particularly affected, the team speculate. They could find it much more difficult to build these structures in water with a lower pH.In recent years some people have suggested deliberately storing carbon dioxide from power stations in the deep ocean as a way of curbing global warming.But Dr Caldeira said that such a strategy should now be re-considered."Previously, most experts had looked at ocean absorption of carbon dioxide as a good thing - because in releasing CO2 into the atmosphere we warm the planet; and when CO2 is absorbed by the ocean, it reduces the amount of greenhouse warming.

我的家乡原来是很漂亮的，清澈的河水干干净净的，还有小鱼在水里游来游去。树木葱葱郁郁的，远远看去密集得像一片片绿色的地毯……

可是现在，树木差不多被砍光了，泥石流不断地涌来，许许多多的人由于泥石流丧失了生命。小鸟没了家，只好在天空中不停地流浪。烟囱不停地冒出黑烟，把氧气转化成了不能呼吸的二氧化碳。天空中原本雪白的云朵儿，现在却变成乌黑乌黑的，像一团团发霉的棉花糖。水也被污染了，黑乎乎的一片，鱼儿根本没办法在那里生存。菜市场更糟糕，鸭毛、鸡毛随处可见，鱼摊更是乱七八糟的一片。一眼望去，能看见好多五颜六色的塑料袋，风一吹，那些塑料袋就翩翩起舞，在风的吹拂下这些塑料袋各显其能，好像在对我们说：“谢谢你们，要不是你们人类生产我们，就不会有我们的今天，真是太谢谢你们了！”

今天，我做了一个梦，发现我正站在马路上，水变清澈了，树木变得更茂盛了，天空也是碧蓝碧蓝的。我又来到了山坡上，山坡上的果树枝繁叶茂，枝头上还挂满了像灯笼似的果子。鸟儿在树上快乐地歌唱，蝴蝶在花丛中欢快地跳舞，小草频频向我们哈腰点头……

我真希望把梦中的场景变为现实，那样……

同学们，地球是生命之源，我们要爱护她、呵护她，“善待地球就是善待自己”，让我们一起保护地球吧！

Next, must carry on waste recovery use, reduces to forest-trees felling. Also must strengthen to white pollution processing, little uses the plastic product. Finally, must make improvement to clean aspect. Causes the citys appearance to be neater. For Earths tomorrow, we must start from the now diligently, will want the well local constable to protect the environment. To this us proposes as follows suggests: Implementation trash classification packed in bags. Like this not only can reduce the environmental sanitation workers work load, but also can even better basically arrive makes use of waste, to reduce the pollution, saves the resources.

环境保护是现代生活中人类所面临的最主要问题。要解决这个问题必须从基础做起。首先，要大量宣传，提高人们的意识与理解，加强环保意识。其次，要进行废物回收利用，减少对森林树木的砍伐。还必须加强对白色污染处理，少使用塑料制品。最后，必须改善清洁方面。使城市的外观整洁。为了地球的明天，我们必须从现在开始努力，将希望和当地的警官保护环境。为此我们提出如下建议：实施垃圾分类袋装。这样不仅可以减少环卫工人的工作量，而且可以更好的利用废物，减少污染，节约资源。
