Dear Professor Smith,

Our school is planning to have a lecture on how to learn English

effectively for middle school students next week and Im writing to ask you to

come and give a talk on English learning strategies. It will help us understand

how to learn English in effective ways and also increase our interest in

learning it, thus making us learn it actively. Do you think one and a half hours

will be enough for such a lecture? Please let me know as soon as possible so

“清明时节雨纷纷，路上行人欲断魂，借问酒家何处有，牧童遥指杏花村。”每当我想起唐大诗人杜牧的这首诗歌时就想到好像清明节快要到了，清明的脚步已经不远了……

"Qingming Festival have rain, pedestrians on the road, borrows asked wineshop where has, the shepherd boy points at Xinghuacun." Whenever I think of this poem in Tang Dynasty poet Du Mus thought of as the Qingming Festival is coming, the tomb of the steps is not far away......

大概到了8点左右，我与妈妈爷爷从家中出发了。在路上，我不断回想着以前的事，似乎我从来没有见到奶奶那慈祥和蔼的模样，脑海里也没有任何跟奶奶有关的事迹。她长什么样子?待我好吗……一连串的问题一下子涌到我的大脑。我问妈妈：“妈妈 ，我见过奶奶吗?待我好吗?”妈妈无奈的说：“实话说吧，她对你可好啦，你犯错了，她一直袒护你……”

Probably around 8, I and mother grandfather from home leave. 经过几十分钟的汽车颠簸，我们终于来到了奶奶的坟前。我们清理掉墓前的杂草，疏通边上的排水沟，放上供品，点好香、蜡烛，把折好的纸钱烧成灰烬给亲人拜祭，以此寄托对死去亲人的一份思念。我们行完了中华民族的礼仪以后，叔叔就拿出鞭炮“劈劈啪啪”的响起来，那声音震耳欲聋，就像天上打雷一样。我默默的在坟墓前许愿“希望奶奶能保佑我读书聪明，学习进步，全家生活快乐，身体健康”。

After several minutes of the car bumps along the way, we finally arrived at Grandmas grave. We cleared of weeds grave, dredging drainage ditch on the side, placed offerings, incense, candles point, folding the paper money burned to ashes to the family worship, as a means of sustenance for a miss their loved ones died. We finished the Chinese etiquette, uncle took the firecrackers "crack" sound, that sound deafen the ear with its roar like thunder. I silently in front of the tomb wishing "hope grandma bless me reading smart, study progress, family life happy, healthy body".

Today is Qingming Festival. Its a traditional Chinese Tomb Sweeping Festival. Dad drives grandma, mom, my brother and I to Xianyou home together. My hometown is on a big mountain near Xianyou County town. After 1 hours of winding roads, we finally arrived at the destination -- my familiar hometown in dreams.

As soon as we got off the train, we could smell a fresh country smell, surrounded by green hills, and the whole countryside was so peaceful. We walked a few minutes to see an old house covered with mud, a place where Grandpa, grandma and Dad had lived before, and only Granny and grandfather lived there. As soon as I entered the door, I saw grandpa and grandma. They were elderly people. They smiled when they saw our arrival. After greeting grandpa and grandma, we are going to sweep grandpas grave. We climbed the hillside behind the house. Sunny, bright spring days, both sides began to busy road. The small green grass shows the small head, the busy ant in the spring transportation, the spring bamboo shoots also sneak out the small head, the mountain path is really interesting, while the chicken, the duck and us play, and the little sheep and the puppy race us in a moment. The distant green wheat fields and golden rape flowers add a bright color to the hometown of spring. After a while, we came to Grandpas tomb. My father took three bow to Grandpas gravestone with my mother and me. How I wish Grandpa would live beside us and enjoy this wonderful life with us.

Today is a special day, Im going to the bookstore beside U stand when volunteers.

Into the U stand on the side of the road, and the inside of the elder brother elder sister say hello, volunteers put on cap, I started a volunteer work. Each pass by in front of us, see I will say: such a small child to when volunteers, so capable!

Although I work is very simple, but there are a lot of things I dont know, such as the somebody else will be asked to go to take a few road cars. After, I think, should not only study well, also want to expand extra-curricular knowledge, when volunteers, next time Ill be more successful

今天是个特殊的日子,我要去书城旁边的U站当志愿者。

走进马路边上的U站，和里面的哥哥姐姐问声好，戴上志愿者的鸭舌帽，我开始了志愿者的工作。每个经过我们面前的人，看到我都会说：这么小的小朋友就来当志愿者，好能干啊。作文

虽然我做的工作很简单，但是有很多东西我都不清楚，比如人家会问到走到哪要坐几路车。我想，以后不仅要好好学习，也要扩展课外知识，下次再当志愿者的时候，我会更成功
