Just take a look at these three funny guys: You can meet them anywhere at any time. All of them have great aspirations and plenty of passion. But in the morning, none of them like to wake up early. Someone said, Joan had this wonderful success because of her confidence and will. I quite agree with this opinion. Because there aren’t any virgins in the world, so I think the appearance of the saints was only in Joan’s mind, actually nothing special happened to Joan. I think the things which really mattered were Joan’s thoughts. In my opinion, Joan must have some military ability to lead the whole army, because of her unusual image, Joan became more confident to the success. It let Joan had the will to be successful. So the success before did not happen by accident,. After some battles, Joan said that she had lost her support from the saints, but actually this didn’t mind. The more important thing was that she had lost her confidence and will, so she lost the battle at last.

So I think confidence and will are just like the foundation of success. All the success depends on them.

In the real world, confidence and will is always very important. During the XX Athens Olympic Games, Li Ting and Sun Tiantian have won the gold medal for the women’s double in the tennis game. It was the first time our anthem playing on the tennis court. Some medium says that they have won by chance. It was only a fairy tale. But I don’t think so. Actually they have won because of their believing in themselves, because they have confidence and will, so they have created a fairy tale in Greece. Their confidence and will have made the success, not by accident.

In our daily life, we must have confidence and will as well. Before the test we need to be confident to our actual strength or we’ll not give full play to our initiative. We need to be confident when we are speaking in public or others will not remember you among all the speakers. We need to have will in studying or we’ll not learn things solidly. We need to have will in our daily life or we’ll give up the things we are doing now. If we have confidence and will in our daily life, then I believe you’ll live brighter.

Based on Mark Twains novel, The Millionaire Pound Note takes an interesting satirical look at the hypocrisy stemming from class distinction in the 50s England. England is a country where class and wealth are given extreme significance, especially among the rich. The film shows the hypocrisy that existed among these people, how the rich are quick to change face when in an instant they find out that youre a man of wealth and how within the next moment they revert back to their condescending selves when all wealth is lost.

Interestingly, The Millionaire also briefly looks at how the English perceived Americans in that era. Rich Americans were welcomed as outsiders and the poor were quickly shunned away. The fact that hes an outsider either makes him more appealing or the complete opposite. The story sticks to the main theme by emphasizing on the hypocrisy of the upper class society but at the same time it also creates a balance that prevents the movie from being a mockery of the British society. The movie drags at some point but the love story appears at the right time and there is plenty of comedy to keep one entertained. A charming Gregory Peck totally nails the part and the luminous Jane Griffiths is a treat. Reginald Beckwith, as Pecks sidekick Rock is amusing. The ending is a little predictable but the director does an overall good job by rounding it up and presenting his points.

我们时时刻刻应该抱有希望，老人一直把旗鱼当做朋友也是一直与善良同行。“不白白诱惑人行窃”也是老人善良和美好品德的折射。还有那段鱼的爱情和亲情，十足感动。总之这本书虽然一直是按故事发展下来，但是的确给我带来不同的震撼和感动。

今天，我读了期待已久的一本书——《老人与海》。

美国著名作家海明威的《老人与海》讲的是：一个名叫圣地亚哥的老渔夫，连续八十四天没有钓到一条鱼，被别人看作是一个失败者;然而他坚持不懈，在一次特殊的捕鱼过程中，他钓到了一条巨大的马林鱼，比他的船还长两米的一条大鱼!这是老人从没见过的一条大鱼，他没见过也没听说过!马林鱼力气太大，大鱼拖着小船在大海上漂泊了整整两天两夜。大鱼奋力挣扎，老人身衰力竭。可能一个不小心，大鱼就会带给他死亡的威胁。

但老人的意志却是无比坚定、无法被摧垮的。他并不向大鱼低头，而是凭着顽强的意志，和大鱼展开了不屈的抗争。经过三天漫长的搏斗，老人终于把马林鱼刺死，挂在船头。

然而，幸运并没有降临，更大的考验还在等待着筋疲力尽的的老人——那是一群嗅着血腥而来的鲨鱼，一群比大马林鱼更具有危险性的凶残的敌人!老人想尽一切办法与鲨鱼展开了殊死搏斗，但大马林鱼肉仍然被鲨鱼吃光了，最后老人拖回家的只有一副光秃秃的鱼骨架。

这样一个简单的故事，让我突然发现，感人至深并不一定需要曲折复杂的情节，简简单单也可以动人心弦。

读完这本书，只觉得老人是孤独的，却也是勇敢的。

老渔夫圣地亚哥出海捕鱼84天，却一无所获。然而他并不气馁，继续出海，经过两天两夜的苦战终于捕到一条罕见的大鱼。返航时，却因为遇到鲨鱼群，而只剩下一副骨架。他失败了吗?没有。他的勇气，被记住了。他是一个硬汉子，一个真正的强者，只能被摧毁不能被击败。故事的结局虽然是令人遗憾的，但那已经不重要了。重要的是过程，重要要的是他与厄运抗争的勇气和坚持。

有时，我为之所动容的，不是惊天动地的的感情，不是两肋插刀的兄弟之情，而是一个不屈的眼神或是百折不挠的精神。

我体会到了圣地亚哥的精神。他是令人佩服服的，可是却总是那么孤单。只有海，是一直陪着老人的，也许也只有海，可以让老人不再孤单。

《老人与海》告诉我们一个道理:“人并不是生来要被打败的，一个人可以被毁灭，但不能被打败”。生活就像大海一样无常，它总会不断给人考验，挑战我们的极限;在生活中，我们们要像圣地亚哥学习，怀揣不屈与坚毅，不与命运妥协，不向现实低头，做一个不怕困难、永不言败的人。即使我们弱小，但精神不垮。

今天我读了美国欧内斯特·海明威的名著《老人与海》。

这篇文章讲的是一位老人84天捕不到一条鱼，可是老人没有气馁。他下定决心出海去捕鱼，一开始出海只捕到一些小鱼，后来老人一夜没睡捕到了一条大鱼。可是在返回的路上遇到了鲨鱼，老人使出浑身解数与鲨鱼搏斗，鲨鱼把能吃的肉全吃完了。结果老人拖回去的只有一副鱼的骨架。

这篇文章告诉我们不要被困难压倒，尽自己最大的努力与生活中遇到的磨难做不屈不挠地斗争，我被老人的精神所打动。

每到星期日，读书是我最喜爱的事。今天，我向大家推荐一本书，书的主人公有着钢铁般的意志，这本世界名著叫《老人与海》，我对这本书百读不厌，爱不释手。

有一次，妈妈带我去新华书店买书，我一直想买一本《老人与海》，这次终于可以实现我的愿望了。买了书，我很兴奋，一回到家，就赶紧拿起这本书，准备大饱眼福了。

这是一本冒险小说。翻开书，才读了几行，就对文中的老人产生了敬意。

小说的主人公桑提阿果，是一位普普通通但具有不屈不挠、永不言败的硬骨头精神的老人。他常年独自在海上打鱼，有一次他钓到了一条大鱼，但是在返回的路上遇到了成群的鲨鱼，老人使出浑身的力气和鲨鱼搏斗，最终打败了鲨鱼，安全地回到了岸上。

我很喜欢《老人与海》的作者海明威说的一句话：“一个人并不是生来就要给打败的……”是的，事实的确如此，一个人如果具有不屈不挠、不怕困难的钢铁精神，他会在生活中的磨难里做出不屈不挠的斗争，尽自己最大的努力，战胜挫折，成为一个英雄。

我想象中的桑提阿果爷爷是这样子的：身穿着补丁的衣服和裤子，背上挂着一个渔网，手上拿着一把渔叉，可有趣呢！他不仅有着大无畏冒险精神，而且是一位非常勤劳的劳动者，我真的很欣赏他。

前几天，我们学习了一篇题目叫《老人与海鸥》的课文，这篇课文通过描写老人生前喂海鸥、呼唤海鸥的名字、与海鸥亲切地说话等事例；以及老人死后，海鸥在老人遗像前翻飞、盘旋、肃立、鸣叫等悲壮画面，表示了老人对海鸥那份无私的爱，展示了海鸥对老人的那份令人震撼的情。

人与动物都是大自然家族里的一员，这篇美丽的文章，让我们看到了老人美好的人性和海鸥美好的品行。但更让人激动不已的是，在这美好人性与美好品行之间相通着的东西——人与自然的和谐，原来是那样美好，如此动人。

不仅人有感情，动物也有丰富的感情。正如文中写的，老人死后，海鸥在他的遗像前翻飞、盘旋、肃立、鸣叫，这些举动不是海鸥在给老人守灵吗？

正因为老人爱海鸥，所以海鸥才会去爱戴老人，去敬佩老人。

人类啊，醒醒吧！只有我们去爱戴动物，动物才会来爱戴你的。但是说与做是两码事，光说不做假把势。所以我呼吁大家保护动物，保护大自然，保护我们生活的家园——地球！

费尽周折，却只带回一具残骸，历尽艰辛，却只留下了一身的伤。但尽管这样，老人仍然与孩子相约一起去打鱼。看到这里我潸然泪下——这是一种多么值得人敬佩的精神啊!这篇文章给我带来了感官上的刺激，但更多的则是反思。敢问在我们这些从小娇生惯养的00后可曾有这样的精神?作业稍多，便叫苦连天;受点挫折，便萎靡不振;甚至有许多成年人都无法做到这一点!写到这里，作为一名少先队员，我感到深深的惭愧，不禁扪心自问：这种本应该长久留存下去的优良品质去哪了?海明威笔下一个普普通通的老人圣地亚哥却让我感受到了这种永不腐朽的品质。

现在中学生阅读的普遍是一些所谓的“青少年流行读物”，那些真正的名著却堆在家中的书柜里无人问津。在这里，我要向全世界儿童呼吁：那些“少年读物”无法带给你任何东西。有空，多去翻翻那些名作，那是世界几千年文化积累的精华!其它只是转瞬即逝的风景，只有那些经典之作才是经久不衰的！

“又转了一圈，鱼背露出来了，但它这会儿离船还太远了点儿。又一圈，还是太远，不过它又浮出来了一些。老头儿盘算着，再收些绳子，就可以叫它靠拢过来。它已准备好了鱼叉，系叉的又是一盘轻巧的绳子，装在一个圆篮子里，绳的那头儿拴在船头系在缆绳的木桩上。这时候，鱼已经转了向，往船这边过来了。它游得静静的，全身只有大尾巴划着水，稳稳地朝前走。老头儿拼命地拽紧绳子，想把鱼往船边拉。他咬牙猛使劲儿，一拉绳子鱼跟着偏了一下，不过他马上就扳正了，又接着转圈。”

《老人与海》讲述了一个真实的故事：一位老人独自在海上钓鱼。他在钓一条大鱼，可是这条鱼拼命地挣扎，老人费了九牛二虎之力才把它钓上来。就在这时，他又遇上了鲨鱼，老人使出了浑身解数和鲨鱼搏斗，最终战胜了鲨鱼，终于把这条800多磅的大鱼捕回了家。好大的一条鱼啊，而且是徒手和鲨鱼拼搏后而捕到的，这不是一条普通的鱼，我们很难感受到这个渔民这时的快乐。

在这个真实的故事里，作者让我们看到了桑提阿果爷爷这样一位普通而又可敬的劳动者，他不被任何困难所屈服，尽自己最大的努力与生活中的磨难做不屈不挠的斗争。这种永不言败的硬骨头精神永远贯穿在《老人与海》故事的始终。在日常生活中，我们也会遇到许多失败，其实并不可怕，只要我们有桑提阿果爷爷这种永不言败的精神，就能够战胜这些失败。有一次，我遇到一道很难的数学题，开始我感觉很难，怎么也做不出来，这时就想放弃听老师讲了在做。后来我想，我还没好好地动脑筋，只是做一下就感到难就放弃，怎么行呢?不行，再试试看。结果我通过了画图，竟然做出来了。

这时，我的心真的好阳光灿烂啊!充分享受着战胜失败的快乐，这真是阳光总在暴风雨后啊!从这件事说明，我们做什么事都要有永不言败的精神。同学们去读《老人与海》吧!去和桑提阿果爷爷一起享受经过种种困难后而捕到那么大一条鱼的喜悦吧!

This is a story about a special and ueserved woman who has been exposed to a hostile environment but continuously and fearlessly struggling for her ideal life. The story can be interpreted as a symbol of the independent spirit.

It seems to me that many readers’ English reading experience starts with Jane Eyer. I am of no exception. As we refer to the movie “Jane Eyer”, it is not surprising to find some differences because of its being filmized and retold in a new way, but the spirit of the novel remains----to be an independent person, both physically and mentally.

Jane Eyer was a born resister, whose parents went off when she was very young, and her aunt，the only relative she had，treated her as badly as a ragtag. Since Jane’s education in Lomon person, just the same as any other girl around. The suffers from being humiliated and devastated teach Jane to be persevering and prize dignity over anything else.As a reward of revolting the ruthless oppression, Jane got a chance to be a tutor in Thornfield Garden. There she made the acquaintance of lovely Adele and that garden’s owner, Rochester, a man with warm heart despite a cold face outside. Jane expected to change the life from then on, but fate had decided otherwise: After Jane and Rochester fell in love with each other and got down to get marry, she unfortunately came to know in fact Rochester had got a legal wife, who seemed to be the shadow following

Rochester and led to his moodiness all the time ----Rochester was also a despairing person in need of salvation. Jane did want to give him a hand, however, she made up her mind to leave, because she didn’t want to betray her own principles, because she was Jane Eyer. The film has finally got a symbolist end: Jane inherited a large number of legacies and finally returned. After finding Rochester’s misfortune brought by his original mad wife, Jane chose to stay with him forever.

I don’t know what others feel, but frankly speaking, I would rather regard the section that Jane began her teaching job in Thornfield as the film’s end----especially when I heard Jane’s words “Never in my life have I been awaken so happily.” For one thing, this ideal and brand-new beginning of life was what Jane had been imagining for long as a suffering person; for another, this should be what the audiences with my views hoped her to get. But the professional judgment of producing films reminded me to wait for a totally different result: There must be something wrong coming with the excellence----perhaps not only should another section be added to eich the story, but also we may see from the next transition of Jane’s life that “Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you would get.” (By Forrest Gump’s mother, in the film “Forrest Gump”)

What’s more, this film didn’t end when Jane left Thornfield. For Jane Eyer herself, there should always be somewhere to realize her great ideal of being independent considering her fortitude, but for Rochester, how he can get salvation?

The film gives the answer tentatively: Jane eventually got back to Rochester. In fact, when Jane

met Rochester for the first time, she scared his horse and made his heel strained, to a certain extent, which meant Rochester would get retrieval because of Jane. We can consider Rochester’s experiences as that of religion meaning. The fire by his frantic wife was the punishment for the cynicism early in his life. After it, Rochester got the mercy of the God and the love of the woman whom he loved. Here we can say: human nature and divinity get united perfectly in order to let such a story accord with the requirements of both two sides. The value of this film may be due to its efforts to explore a new way for the development of humanism under the faith of religion.

Life is ceaselessly changing, but our living principles remain. Firmly persisting for the rights of being independent gives us enough confidence and courage, which is like the beacon over the capriccioso sea of life. In the world of the film, we have found the stories of ourselves, which makes us so concerned about the fate of the dramatis personae.

In this era of rapid social and technological change leading to increasing life complexity and psychological displacement, both physical and mental effects on us call for a balance. We are likely to find ourselves bogged down in the Sargasso Sea of information overload and living unconsciousness. It’s our spirit that makes the life meaningful.

Heart is the engine of body, brain is the resource of thought, and great films are the mirrors of life. In

dubitably, “Jane Eyer” is one of them.

在文中，老人的一句势如千钧的话感动着我——“事情来了就要勇敢接受!”。多么有气魄的话啊!这句话好像是一句魔咒，它使原本已疲惫不堪的老人顿时有了力量，有了动力。老人用自己的智慧，战胜了自己，也战胜了鲨鱼。他有着很强的男人味和霸气，他是强者!他面对困难不畏惧，他是强者!他有着刚中带柔的性格，他是强者!

他说：“一个人并不是生来就要给打败的，你尽可以消灭他，却不能打败他。”事实的确如此，一个能够战胜自我的人，即使被打败了，也终将会成为一个成功者，一个英雄。老人这种永不言败的硬骨头精神贯穿在故事的始终，这种精神激励着我，催我不断奋进。

看完这部书，我不禁爱上了这本书，更爱这位不屈的老人，他让我学会生存，学会坚强，学会面对困难不畏惧，他让我学会了太多太多。他为我在学习生涯中指明了前进的道路，何其伟大，又何其崇高!桑提阿果的背后是人类永恒存在的价值：自信、自强和自尊，他将是矗立在我心中的永远的丰碑。
