There is no doubt that the most unusual Olympic Games ever in history is the 1936 Olympics held in Germany, which was then ruled by the Nazi Party. Led by Adolf Hitler, the Nazi believed that the so-called Aryan people were superior to all others in all aspects. They looked down upon Jews and blacks, the latter of which was a major constitution of the United States Olympic team. Despite the barrier that faced him, the African American Jesse Owens, who was a most outstanding runner and jumper, did all that he could and finally won gold medals for his country and went home a hero. 说实话，从来没有读到有本书能使我的神经一直绷紧着。直到读过《老人与海》时，不知是否是因为作者海明威他半生的专业是记者。况且他的报道都是以战争为主，所以，该作品读上去也似一场战斗在眼前。如果可以这样理解，我更愿意称这是人与鱼的斗争。小说中有这么一句话，是过去我一直有理解错误的：“一个人可以被毁灭，但不能给打败。"现在重读，将自己拟作小说中的“桑地雅哥"老人，才真正体会到一个人的比铁比钢更强的力量-----坚定的意志。小说中的人物“桑地雅哥”有好几个事令我彻底被这力量所征服：

老人出海八十四次，一直没有什么收获，别人都称他是灾星。这使得他最后一个助手也没有了，只得他独自一人，但老人还是开始了他的第八十五次出海。老人为了排解这份孤独便把天空、星辰、大海、鱼鸟当作自己的伴侣，有时自己还会大声的自我对话。老人忍受的是无尽的孤独。
