读了《老人与海》，我十分佩服老渔夫坚持不懈的意志。一个年近六旬的老渔夫，在一次出海打鱼时，钓到了一条大鱼，却怎么也拉不上来。老人与大鱼几经周旋，才发现这是一条超过渔船数倍的大马林，但他没有放弃坚持与大鱼搏斗，最终获得了胜利。但引来一群鲨鱼把大马林鱼吃了个精光，老人只带着鱼骨回了家 。

虽然大马林鱼被鲨鱼吃光，但老人那顽强的精神永存，老人明知道渔船装不下大马林鱼，但是他坚持要抓住它，只要你想就一定能做到，就像老人一样他坚持不懈。他没有被任何困难压服，那他就是胜利者。

读到这里，我不禁想到了自己。每当我遇到困难时，总是觉得麻烦，又不会回避，去逃避，而不是去战胜困难，只是使它所压跨。

就像在我练钢琴时，一见到一串串音符，就头大看了就烦，随便乱弹几个音就说完成了，弹好了。这只会让我对音符更不熟悉。

在《老人与海》里，老人没有被任何困难压服，他尽自己最大的努力与生活中的磨难做不屈不挠的斗争。

这个寒假，我读了一本书叫《老人与海》这本书塑造了一个经典的硬汉形象。古巴的一个名叫圣地亚哥的老渔夫，独自一个人出海打鱼，在一无所获的84天之后钓到了一条无比巨大的马林鱼。然而这时却遇上了鲨鱼，老人与鲨鱼进行了殊死搏斗，结果大马林鱼还是被鲨鱼吃光了，老人最后拖回家的只剩下一副光秃秃的鱼骨架。老人虽然失败了，但他在与鱼斗争的过程中表现出了超常的毅力和勇气，表现了一种不可被征服的精神上的胜利，他可以说是一个顶天立地的大丈夫。

书中通过对老人与鲨鱼斗智斗勇的场面，描写细腻，引人入胜。作者从多个角度描绘了鲨鱼的凶狠狡猾。老人拼尽全力为了保住自己好不容易捕到的一条大马林鱼。充分体现出老人无畏精神。

有这样一位老人，面对凶猛的鲨鱼，毫不退缩；当困难来临的时候，机智勇猛；有这样一位老人,面对84天一条鱼都没有钓到的情况下，坚持不懈，没有放弃。对，他就是《老人与海》的主角—桑地亚哥。

当我初次接触《老人与海》这本书时，觉着一定没有意思，只有薄薄的八十一页，能讲述什么有意思的故事，肯定不好看。但当我静下心看完这本书的时候，我深深震撼到了。“虽然只有简短的八十一页”，但描述及其详尽，看着书，你能感受到作者写书时候的各种情感，真是佩服作者海明威。

故事讲述了一位老人捕鱼的故事，整本书只是在讲述捕鱼的事情。故事情节中，有悲伤，有兴奋，有期待，我仿佛听到了老人那洪亮的嗓音，看到了小男孩那可爱的笑容，闻到了金枪鱼的香味。

我犹如坐上了老人的穿，和他一起遨游在整个海洋里。我看到了“大深井”的美丽，看到了凶猛的鲨鱼朝着桑地亚哥扑过来，而老人绝不畏惧，勇敢面对，拿起小刀向鲨鱼捅了过去。

最后，我想用海明威的一句名言来表达我的感受，也希望可以激励大家。“一个人可以被毁灭，但决不可以被打败”。

每一本书都有自己独特的灵魂！最近，我读了海明威的小说《老人与海》，读完这本书，我不禁思绪万千：胜利在这部小说里已经不显得那么得重要，重要的是一个人的生命价值，老人敢于挑战做不到的事，一次次地超越自我，不得不令我们感到敬佩，它所带给我们的是一种自信，一种强大的精神力量，一种不屈的意志。

初读，我的脑子顿时迷茫了：一个孤独的渔翁是如何与汹涌的大海进行搏击的呢？小说描写的是一位年迈六十的老渔夫，他凭着永不言败的精神在大海上生活着。他连续八十四天没捕到鱼，就在一次出海打鱼时，钓到了一条大鱼，但由于鱼实在太重了，拉不上来，之后他明白这是大马林鱼，老渔夫同鱼周旋了几天大鱼，鱼才终于筋疲力尽浮上水面，被他杀死，在途中一再遭到鲨鱼的袭击，但都被他化险为夷，让其他渔夫敬佩不已。

要有着坚持不懈的精神，才能胜利，可书中的老人经常都是坚持着，屡屡失败。读完后，我不断思考着，之后我又明白：他象征着坚不可摧的精神，生活上，他失败了，但在精神上他始终是胜利者。他那顽强抗击的精神，展现了人的高贵和尊严。而我却恰恰相反。

每当我遇到难题是就头疼了，都没思考就请教别人。但如今读了这本书，我不禁感到惭愧，一个老人都有着执着的精神，何况我们这些青年呢？从今天起，我们要学会坚持！因为有了坚持，我们才会朝着目标坚定地前行；因为有了坚持，我们才会努力寻求解决困难的办法；因为有了坚持，我们才有可能把梦想变为现实。只有这样，我们才会看到人生的辉煌！

这是一个多么让人伤心，又多么真实的故事啊!老人这么努力，这么坚强，可还是以悲剧告终。但是细想，这本书似乎并不仅仅给予我们伤心、失望那些消极的东西，更多的还是一种不服输，不放弃的顽强精神。

还记得那段时间，我的心情非常低落，似乎一切都在与我作对。我以为自己已经很努力了，可考试还是连连失利，于是我变得闷闷不乐了，总会搞砸一些事情——不是走路时摔跤，就是不小心打翻水杯。我无数次想过放弃我那不可能的目标，就在这时，我读了《老人与海》。一时间，我被这书中的老人给深深地感动了，他是多么的勇敢——在疯狂的马林鱼面前，他没认输;在恐怖的鲨鱼面前，他没认输;在厄运面前，他也没认输。而我只是遇到这么一点点小挫折，我怎么能认输呢?于是我又一次振作起来，朝着我的目标不断前进着。

虽然，老人没能取得最后的胜利，但是他没有低头认输，一直坚持到了最后，他已经是一个伟大的胜利者。他已经战胜了大海，战胜了马林鱼、鲨鱼，更战胜了他自己。

这让我不由想到了老舍写的《骆驼祥子》中的主人公祥子，他与老人是多么的像啊，同样有梦想，同样有坚定的信念，却都遭遇了种.种不幸，但他们在命运面前都不曾放弃过，不曾认输过。

虽然，老人和祥子都只是在作家笔下构造出来的人物，可是想想：人类不一直在和自己的命运做着斗争，他们不愿只听从上天的安排，于是他们不断地创新、发展，不断探索大自然，走出了非洲大陆。

他们也不愿轻易向命运妥协，他们可能是家境贫寒，甚至有身体上的缺陷，但他们都用永不言败的拼搏精神，创造了一个个传奇故事：瞎子阿炳创作了《二泉映月》，海伦凯勒写了《假如给我三天光明》，霍金提出了黑洞这一说法……他们不都有像老人和祥子那样在命运面前永不低头的精神吗?

“一个人并不是生来就要被打败的，人尽可以被毁灭，但却不能被打败。”一个人他即使被毁灭，也不能低头认输，这是多么坚强啊!茫茫大海上，他是那么渺小。悲伤的命运前，他又是多么的脆弱。可是在他的世界里没有妥协，只有奋斗——他绝对不会向命运认输!

这个学期，我们读的第一本书就是海明威著作的《老人与海》。

这本书是我最喜欢的书之一。他讲述只一个老人捕鱼的故事。在最后老人捕获了一条大鱼，可在返航的路上，由于鲨鱼。大鱼只剩下一副骨架了。

这本书里有很多描写景物的段落，从中我学到了许多优美的词句。而且在拟人和比喻的方面我也学到了许多知识。莎士比亚曾经说过：“书是全世界的营养品。”之前我还不理解这句话的含义，可直到读了《老人与海》这本书后，我明白了，因为在书中可以学到许多知识所以书是全世界的营养品。

《老人与海》这本书让我们明白了一个道理，一个人无论你有多强大有多厉害可还是需要别人的帮助。就像这老人一样，他用尽全力去制服那条大鱼整整花了几天几夜，可由于筋疲力尽所以无法和鲨鱼搏斗。这是老人想起了他之前和小孩一起捕鱼的快乐时光。

In this materialistic society, people often use money to measure gifts.When bags of gifts which are packaging delicately in front of us,what can we see except empty and blank? Parents feel happy because of our simple greeting cards in their birthday,because of a few words of blessing.These gifts,simple but true.It cant be compared with those which built with a lot of money, outlined by luxuriance. What clever gifts! In some sense, they are invaluable.

Yes,in this materialistic society,some people think money is everything,the one who owns money,who owns all.No wonder a great amount of girls became mammonists,and want to marry richers;no wonder more and more men think that there is no true love,what girls love is their money. But I always believe sincere love is existed and its priceless. Even if you have millions of money, you cant change it into true love. Maybe money can let you get some feelings from girls, but those are hypocritical. 这本书讲述了一个叫桑提亚哥的老人已经很久都没有捕到鱼了，所有人都嘲讽他不会再捕到鱼，连助手都弃他而去。但老人并没有气馁，独自一人远航，靠自己的力量钩到了一条巨大无比的马林鱼，此时老人没有忘乎所以，他知道马林鱼的血腥味会引来争食者。果不其然，结伴成群的鲨鱼凶猛地跳出来，疯狂地啃食着马林鱼。这刻老人没有望而生畏，拼尽全力与鲨鱼搏战，可鲨鱼越来越多，老人也负了伤，没过多久，鲨鱼只留给老人硕大的空骨架。虽然巨大的财富没了，但这空骨架为老人赢得大家的尊重，助手也回来了。

After reading "A tale of two cities"

"A tale of two cities" is one of Dickenss most important representative works.The novel profoundly exposed the society contradiction before the French Revolution,intensely attacks the aristocratic social class is dissolute and cruel,and sincerely sympathizes with the depressed classes.The novel also described many magnificent scenes like the revolt people attacked Bastille and so on,which displayed peoples great strength.

The novel has portrayed many different people. Doctor Manette is honest and kind but suffers the persecution actually ， Lucie is beautiful and gentle ，Charles is graceful and noble，Lorry is upright and honest ，Sydney is semblance of indifferent, innermost feelings of warm,unconventional but also selfless and lofty，Miss Pross is straightforward and loyal，Evremonde brothers are cruel and sinister......The complex hatred is hard to solve, the cruel revenge has made more hatreds, loves rebirth in the hell edge,but take the life as the price.

As an outstanding writer,in Dickenss work,the language skill is essential.Each kind of rhetoric technique,like the analogy,the exaggeration,the contrast,the humorous,and the taunt are handled skillfully,and the artistry of the work is also delivered the peak."A tale of two cities" has its difference with the general historical novel, its character and the main plot are all fictionalizes.With the broad real background of the French Revolution,the author take the fictional character Doctor Manettes experience as the main clue,interweaves the unjust charge, love and revenge three independences but also incident cross-correlation stories together,the plot is criss-crossed,and the clue is complex.The author use insert narrates,foreshadowing,upholstery and so many techniques,causes the structure integrity and strictness,the plot winding anxious and rich of theatrical nature,it displayed the remarkable artistic skill.the style "A tale of two cities" is solemnity and melancholy,fills indignantion,but lacks the humor of the early works.

These days Ive just finished the novel Uncle Toms Cabin that left a really deep impression on me and we can see.

It is a book written in 1852 in response to the passage of the Fugitive Slave Law， Uncle Toms Cabin has been considered as the most influential anti-slavery novel in that period and described by Stowe herself as a “series of sketches” describing the human cruelty of slavery， opens with a description of Arthur Shelbys Kentucky plantation during the antebellum period.

There are several impressive characters in this novel， George who is clever and brave;Harry， a beautiful and talented child who sings dances and mimes;Mrs. Shelby， a very religious woman;Sambo and Qimbo and so on. The major character Uncle Tom who was the most impressive in this novel was a devout Christian. He endured the miserable fate bravely and aroused the whites sympathy for slaves with his Christs sacrifice and the tolerance of returning good for evil. This novel focuses on the distinctive personalities of Uncle Tom deeply influenced by Christianity and the important role Uncle Toms Cabin playing on abolition; and the Significance of “Uncle Tom” to the harmonious worlds development， and the effect on modern people.

In the book， at the beginning， the author presents us a very beautiful image of a rather harmonious family who live a happy life. However， that beautiful image couldnt last long， the darkness came soon. The master of this happy family， Uncle Tom was arranged into a difficult situation. As Shelby， the not cruel master， he has incurred serious debts- prompting him sell some slaves to avoid financial ruin， so Uncle Tom， Shelbys loyal servant since childhood was sold to Mr. Haley， the slave trader. Uncle Tom remained loyal to his master， despite his betrayal and the risk of death at the cruel hands of a new master. The slaves at the plantation were very mournful， but Tom remained placid and tried to read his Bible for fort. On the steamboat to New Orleans， where Tom was to be sold， Tom befriended an angelic little girl， “Little Eva” St. Clare. Uncle Tom saved the five-year-old beauty from drowning， and she convinced her father to buy Tom for her own family. In her family， Tom enjoye.

d his life because of the girls love; Toms contentment does not last， however， because Eva soon falls ill. Dying， Eva asked Mr. St. Clare to free Tom after her death. But Mr. St. Clare is so sad by her death that he never legally freed Tom before he himself was killed trying to mediate a barroom scuffle. Mrs. St. Clare sold the slaves to settle her husbands debts and Tom was sold to Simon Legree who was so violent that beat his slaves brutally. At last， when Mr. Shelby， finally found Uncle Tom， he was almost died. After Tom was dead and buried， Shelby went back and freed his slaves.

As we all can see that Uncle Toms Cabin was an anti-slavery novel and it was even considered as one factor that caused the Civil War. In the novel， the slaves were sold from one place to another frequently， and their fate was tragic， with no exception- just like Uncle Tom， no matter he was under the control of kind masters or evil masters， he cant escape the misfortune of being sold from one master to another. We cant see any human right of them， so terrible.

As someone said， with more people realizing the inhumanity of slavery in the 19th century， slavery became one of the most important issues and it became more violent year by year in American society. However， slavery was not abolished irrevocably until ratification of the 13th Amendment to the Constitution in 1865， following the Civil War. After the passage of Fugitive Slave Act of 1850， Harriet Beecher Stowe wrote this novel Uncle Toms Cabin which publicized the evil of slavery to a wide audience.

Now we are in the 21st century， we may never e across such kind of thing. However， this book can always remind of us that there ever has existed this evil and we cant let it happen again. And “equality” 、“human right ” cant just be a slogan， we should make it e true really and always.

主人公圣地亚哥是个七十多岁的老渔民，九月时，他连续八十四天都没有捕到鱼，于是就对一个跟着他出海捕鱼的男孩说：“你想想看见我在第八十五天钓到一条一千多磅的大鱼吗？”男孩点了点头。圣地亚哥笑了。第二天清晨，也就是第八十五天，圣地亚哥驶着小船，准备就绪后，就向无边无际的大海进发。钓到一条金枪鱼后，老人原本想睡上一觉的，不过今天是第八十五天啦，应该好好地钓鱼才对！老人这么想着，就在这时，老人感觉有根钓竿正往水下面猛地一沉！“来啦，来啦。”他说着，圣地亚哥轻松地握着，不让鱼有牵绊的感觉。从老人多年的经验判断，这应该是条大马林鱼！可是已经到中午了，老人现在还没看见过它呢！日已西斜，夜幕降临，那条大马林鱼还没有出现过，它不断地游着，把圣地亚哥的渔船越拖越远，也不知道什么时候才停下来。知道第二天中午，钓竿有了很明显的摆动。

呀！！那条大马林鱼突然腾空而起，可是又潜入水中。圣地亚哥搞不明白，对手为什么要这样做，是伤口太痛了吗？不管怎么说，又一个晚上到了，老人也该休息咯！圣地亚哥一觉睡到明天早上，庆幸的是，大马林鱼暂时没有动静。老人逐渐回收着钓索，大马林鱼确实疲惫不堪了，可足足过了两个小时，大鱼还是没露面。

呼！又是一阵猛烈的撞击。大马林鱼又开始兜圈了，兜完第三圈时，它的尾部冒出水面。圣地亚哥与它僵持着。最后一刻，老人将鱼叉插进了它的心脏，大马林鱼鲜血直流，老人把它绑好后，就回航了。虽然之后被许多鲨鱼咬完了大马林鱼，但老人都把它们消灭了。

读了《老人与海》后，我非常佩服老人的决心、耐心、和勇气！如果没有这三样东西，就算老人有再高超的技术，也不可能钓到这条大马林鱼。在生活中，我们也只有拥有决心、耐心、和勇气才能成就大事！而我缺的也正是这三样珍宝！我在碰到不会的题目时，我就像一棵墙头草——两边倒，没有一点决心！如果一个问题被别人问多几遍，我就会缺乏耐心，变得非常毛躁。我已经十岁了，不再是个小孩子了，但我连一个人过马路的勇气也没有！此时此刻，当我细细品读这个故事后，实在是万分惭愧。

今天看了《老人与海》这篇文章，让我记忆最深刻是这样的一个场景：

老人一连84天都没有钓上一条鱼，但他不肯认输，第85天终于钓上了一条大马林鱼。大鱼拖住船往海洋走去，老人不死心，历经两天两夜他终于杀死了大马林鱼，但鲨鱼飞快地向大马林鱼游来，老人凭借自己的毅力一一杀死它们。但到最后，大鱼还是被众多的捕食者们吃光了，老人只能拖着一副鱼骨，背对着夕阳，步履沉重的走向自己的渔船。

疲惫的老人躺在渔船上，合上了沧桑的双眼，那一刻，他仿佛忘记了现实，梦见了那往日的岁月。

硕大的鱼骨，红色渐沉的夕阳，孤单的老人与孤寂的渔船，在我的脑中形成一个美丽的画卷。

我最喜欢的是老人，因为老人八十四天都没钓到鱼，都快饿死了但他却不认输，而最后他钓到了大鱼。也正因为他不肯放弃。我要学习老人永不放弃的精神。
