I enjoyed my May Day holiday. We Chinese people celebrated the International Labour Day in different ways. Some of us really enjoyed our holiday vacations, so we went sightseeing and visiting our loved ones. However, other people had to take their duties on this holiday.

For example, the police, firefighters and soldiers were on their duties by keeping us safe throughout the holiday. Hospitals opened during the holiday, so doctors and nurses were on call for taking care of their patients. Services such as tourism, restaurants, shopping malls and super markets were open to the public during the May Day holiday.

We appreciated these hard working people who never stopped delivering great services to their clients and customers throughout the holiday of the First of May. All in all, showing appreciation to hard working people is a significance of celebrating the Labour Day holiday. I liked this May Day holiday very much!

The shortage of housing is one of the most serious problems facing many big

cities in China. Though the government has spent a large sum of money on

housing,the investment has not been very resultful and a housing shortage still

exists. Two generations sharing one room and newlymarried couples finding it

difficult to have a house of their own are still common cases. Housing shortage

is a problem that requires an immediate solution.

Peoples attitudes towards the solution to the housing problem are

different. Some suggest building more tall apartment buildings; others believe

that we should develop underground housing areas. I am in favour of the former

opinion. For one thing, it is cheaper to build upward than downward. For

another, living underground for a long time will do harm to peoples health.

Above all,people are unwilling to live underground with artificial lighting and

they prefer to live normally on the ground to enjoy the sunshine.

Although there may be some other ways to solve the housing shortage

problem, I believe to build more apartment buildings is one of the feasible

solutions to the housing problem.

i spent this summer vacation in quite a different way. i used to run about every day in previous  summer vacations， but this summer vacation i simply could not afford to do so. i would soon be in the last year of my high-school education and would after graduation be up against the college entrance examinations. though those examinations were still a year away， i had to start early to make myself well prepared by reviewing all those things i had learned at school and this summer vacation was the ideal time for me to do this. at first i was rather dismayed at the thought of this， but later i thought it was better this way because by working hard this summer i could count on  endless happy summers to e. with this in mind i then set to work like anything and only occasionally went out for a change or did some physical. i was not at all bored by this kind of life， for i was sustained by a hope.

mistake accidentally, you should have largeness of mind. Friendship is too

虽然，有许多家长不同意小学生上网，说小学生上网会分散小学生在课堂学习的精力，如果长期看屏幕，会对小学生的眼睛视力会有很大的伤害，娱乐节目会使小学生沉溺其中无法自拔……这些观点，我都不认同。上网并不会影响小学生的学习，反而会有很大的帮助。为了保护眼睛视力，不影响学习，小学生上网时间要有所控制，既解决了学习问题，又保护了视力。

有人曾说：“机不可失，失不再来！”这不就告诉我们：手机是不可丢失的，丢失了不就不会再有了吗？当然了这是我的一句调侃了。所以，我认为小学生上网利大于弊！

大年三十的晚上，我、老妈，还有姥姥一家在一起吃年夜饭。桌上的菜各种各样，有大鱼、大肉，还有我最喜欢吃的火锅。吃饱了，老妈洗好碗，我们一起出去活动活动。回来后大家在家里，有的津津有味地磕着瓜子，有的饶有兴趣地打牌，有的愉快地聊天，有的在聚精会神地看电视。大家开心极了！

怎么这么平静，好诡异啊？哎呀，这分明是暴风雨前的风平浪静、火山喷发前的死寂，如此镇定，发起火来更凶。浪子回头金不换”还有时间，快补吧！这真是大大的出乎我的意料！不过，我可以感觉到她的声音有点颤。好”我抱起作业跑回了书桌旁，妈妈也跟了进来，拿起本书看了起来。

那天晚上很静，只有钟表的嘀哒声和笔尖磨动的嚓嚓声以及妈妈的翻书声。9点、10点、11点、12点、1点半，随着一声重重地合上本子的声音，我扔下笔，欢呼着，妈妈笑了，说“看吧，平时不努力，如今只能熬夜了，这已经算是罚你了，谅你以后也不敢了，希望你以此为戒，改变你懒惰的毛病。怎么样？手酸了吧，快去睡吧！”此时，我看到了妈妈那疲倦的眼神，心中涌现一丝愧疚。

现在，我内心深深地明白，妈妈在我没写完作业时并没有批评我，那是因为怕浪费我补写作业的时间啊！妈妈，放心吧，您以您那种特殊的方式教育着我，您对儿子的理解与爱，我懂，儿子一定加倍努力，不辜负您对我的爱。
