十月一日是国庆节，学校放了七天长假，让我们好好玩玩。人民公园特地举行“姑苏灯会”来庆祝国庆。

今年，我家工作特别繁忙，耽误了时日，直到十月四日才去看灯会。那天晚上，大约七点多，我跟着父母向公园出发了。

4. 养成积累词语的习惯

日记是对生活中方方面面的事情的描述和感想的表达，所以写日记要用到单词面很广，这就要求英语学习者在平时要养成积累单词的好习惯，而把记忆的单词运用到日记中更是起到温故作用。值得注意的是，在写日记时，我们都会遇到很多不会写的单词。这时千万不要就此止步，而要先空出来，或者用拼音代替，等一篇日记写完了再查词典不上所缺的单词，并且重点记忆这些单词。这是通过这样的方式，我们才能更快地积累单词和提高英语水平。

5. 英语日记中的缩写与省略

英语写作中经常会有缩略语，比如：Nov. / November. Apr. / April

eg / For example 等各种形式的缩略语。

建议初学者不要用这些缩略语，因为初学者对单词的熟悉程度还不是很高，要不断的应用学过的单词才能记得牢，记得准。
