走在街上，基本是人人手握一部手机，充满了“低头族”。而这其中，有多数都是小学生。我认为，小学生上网是弊大于利。

小学生，是一群不懂事的小孩，不能明辨是非的未成年人。而网络上大都是一些乱七八糟的东西，常常会影响到小学生的学习与生活。

很多人都认为，小学生只要有自控力，就可以用手机来上网，因为他们可以从中学习到很多新的知识，有不会的数学题，也可以在网上去查找，对学习有很大的帮助。可是，真正能够做到自控的小学生有多少？我敢说，只有那极少数的能够做到，甚至可以说没有！现在的“吃鸡”、“农药”等许多人们的网络游戏，不光是小学生，连许多成人都在玩，而又有许多成人无法控制自己，连夜玩游戏。那么我们可以试想，连成年人都无法做到自控，更何况是一群十一、二、三岁的小学生了。这所产生的后果也十分严重，会导致成绩下滑，性格暴戾……

上个月有一则新闻。在武汉的一名小学生因连夜游戏，而导致网死亡，人也死掉了。还有一段网红的搞笑视频，一个小学生给父母说，要用电脑上网学习，而却玩起了枪战游戏，父母站在他身后一个多小时，他都没发现，一回头……

还有一项全国统计，我国中小学生的近视率已高达百分之六十多。到了大学，近视率已高达百分之八十五以上。而其中，有绝大多数是因为上网而导致用眼过度所产生的。可见，网络对我们的危害有多大啊！即使是真的上网学习，学出一副近视眼，那也不值得啊！

网络，是一个令人向往的世界，但却危机重重，令许多人都不禁陷入其中而无法自拔。所以，我认为小学生上网：弊大于利！

突然，“嘭”的一声，把我们吓了一跳。连忙抬头望天空，发现开始放烟花了，人群随之沸腾了。

哇!烟花五彩缤纷的，美丽极了。美丽的烟花为漆黑的天空增添了无限活力。有的烟花叫火花闪闪，当这种烟花冲向天空时，就如同一支白色的火箭似的，冲上天空，即之展开来，烟花开始是红色的，一晃，就变成绿色的了，然后散落在大地，像是绿色的星星从银河系中掉落了一般。有的烟花叫彩蝶飞舞，这种烟花像一条条欢快的鱼儿游向天空，绽放时，一束伸向这儿，一束伸向那儿，仿佛是一朵白色的花苞，慢慢地舒展开来，它那迷人的笑脸，漂亮极了。

最后燃放的是一支红色的烟花，散落时像一只只红色的灯笼，眨着眼睛徐徐降落。这数不清的灯笼，如同我此时的心情，依依不舍，希望燃放烟花的时间再长点、再长点。

Our classroom is bright and clean. But it is not big. There are twenty-three desks and chairs in it. They are new. Theres a big desk in front of the classroom. Its for our teachers.There are five pictures on the right wall. Theres a map of the world and a map of China on the left wall.

i spent this summer vacation in quite a different way. i used to run about every day in previous  summer vacations， but this summer vacation i simply could not afford to do so. i would soon be in the last year of my high-school education and would after graduation be up against the college entrance examinations. though those examinations were still a year away， i had to start early to make myself well prepared by reviewing all those things i had learned at school and this summer vacation was the ideal time for me to do this. at first i was rather dismayed at the thought of this， but later i thought it was better this way because by working hard this summer i could count on  endless happy summers to e. with this in mind i then set to work like anything and only occasionally went out for a change or did some physical. i was not at all bored by this kind of life， for i was sustained by a hope.

National Day, Labor Day holiday for seven days, is the biggest expectation of every child after school, but what will happen after the holiday?

Like most children, the biggest hope for me to go to school is the holiday. In the last semester, the hope is the National Day holiday; the next semester is the May Day Labor Day.

Every time I approach the vacation, I am so excited because I can enjoy watching TV and playing computer on vacation, and play with my little partners freely. There is neither time constraint nor parents nagging. Think of it, which is a thrill!

However, there is a lot of homework at the thought of a holiday, and the excitement is not eliminated. Well, what do you do? I understand your well-respected college offers a number of places to overseas students every year, and I am writing to enquire about the application procedure.

I am at present a student at Mary High School, Hong Kong, where I have been studying for the past five years. I passed the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination last year with distinctions in English and History, and credits in Economics and English Literature. My advanced-level subjects are History, Economics and English Literature. In addition to these subjects, "Use of English" is also a compulsory subject because a pass in English is a minimum requirement for admission to most faculties of the University of Hong Kong.

Apart from academic work, I have been actively involved in extra-curricular activities. I am Chairman of the English Club and I have represented my school in many inter-school contests.

my summer vacation of this year was very enjoyable. i went to the countryside to spend my summer holidays. it is very beautiful there. there are green plants, clear rivers, lovely animals kind people. i spent two weeks helping my grandfather do some farm work there. i wrote down what happened in my diary every day.

besides that, i helped the children in the neighbourhood with their lessons. i helped them read english improve their spoken english. their parents thanked me for this.
