Its our duty to protect our environment. Where do we live? The earth. The earth is the only one place we live in. So you know how important the environment is.

Trees take in carbon dioxide from the air and make oxygen. Thats important. People and animals need oxygen to live. Many small animals and s live in the trees. Some of them also get food from trees. Trees can also stop water and soil from going away. If we have a lot of trees, we stop deserts from being large. I think this is very important. You know, trees are green. They can make our country even more beautuful.

等我醒来时，家里还是静悄悄的。我想了想，只能自己照顾自己了。虽然有些无奈，也只能慢慢学习。我下了床，量了一下体温，还是有些烧。于是，我给自己倒了一杯热水，逼着自己慢慢地不停地喝。然后打开电视，找到自己喜欢的节目。可看着看着，我突然想起，马上要期末考试了，同学们都在学习上课复习呢!我怕自己落后太多，赶紧关上电视，回到房间看起了书。在学习时，我一感到头晕不舒服，就去喝热水。几次三番下来，病情居然减轻了不少。就这样，我撑到了爸爸妈妈下班，这才有了安全感。妈妈询问了我在家的表现，非常高兴地夸奖我：你长大了!

每当回想起这件事，我心里总有种不可思议：自己能在发烧时，照顾好自己，安排好自己的学习!那也是我第一次发现：成长其实就发生在我们生活中的每时每刻。经历过这件事，我发现自己变得坚强、勇敢了!

The news that Mr Cai had passed away was known, and I fell into great

sorrow. The sound of the rain knocking on the window was so mournful that it

deepened my distress.

My memory brought me back to the class when I saw him for the last

time.

That evening it was raining, too. We started our lesson as usual at a

quarter past six. I sat in the first row, and I saw Mr Cai press his stomach

with a hand from time to time, but I didn’t know the reason then. The two hours

passed quickly. When the lesson came to an end,Mr Cai told us that he had

possibly developed a stomach cancer, and would go to Beijing to see a doctor. If

there was nothing serious, he would continue to teach us after he came back. He

was very calm and his voice was steady. He still gave us some homework. He said

that he would mark the papers as soon as he came back.

Then I started to wait for his return. I had not thought that I would not

see him any more. The cancer had taken his life, even though he was still

young.

Mr Cai’s words are still ringing in my ears,“I hope you will be one of the

best students.” I think I should work hard at English and live up to his

expectation .

I have lost a good teacher. Tears will dry up in time, but the memory will

stay for ever.
