On no-car day, neither students nor teachers are allowed to drive to school. Meanwhile, just walk, jump, cycle or run. Use our legs and enjoy the fun.

On the second place, we had best not use plastic bags any more. No one can stand the “white pollution”. So, it is wise to use bags which can be reused again and again.

Finally, one thing that we should keep in mind: every big thing comes from the subtle. Therefore, as students, we ought to turn out the lights the moment we leave, turn off the tap in time, and reuse our textbook and so on.

All in all, it weighs greatly for all of us to put the low carbon lifestyle into practice. Just set our mind to these: no-car day, no plastic bags, and no waste. Let’s do it now.

以前在书上看到这样一个小故事——一位大学生在进入大学后，什么都不会做，就连自己的衣服也不会洗，每一次都只有让自己的姐姐到学校来替他做这些原本应该自己做好的小事，就因为这位大学生如此地不独立，其他同学们都对其避而远之，最终学校校长只好让他的家属将其接回家中。理由则是——一位不懂得独立自主的人宛如行尸走肉，这样的人不被大家所需要。

当然，这只是诸多大学生中一个特殊的例子，但这个例子却让人们深思。正是因为大人们对孩子从小的溺爱，导致孩子无法独自适应一个新的环境，这样的人仿佛一条从水中跳上岸的鱼，当鱼儿失去了水的“保护”它将无法长久在世间生存下去。

不久前，我真正学会了独立生活。现在回想起来，感觉收获很大。

当时，父母因为要去桂林办点事，只能让奶奶来陪我住几天。谁知奶奶才来了一天，又因为有事离开了。家里只剩下我一个人，接下来的三天时间里，我都要自己照顾自己。

在那几天时间里，我每天早上6：30起床，马上洗脸刷牙，然后出门买早餐吃。为了节省时间，我只能边吃早餐边走去学校。到了中午，我就在外面吃粉解决午饭问题，回家稍微休息一会再去上学。下午放学时，我会给自己买点白切猪脚或是烧鸭之类的熟菜。因为吃青菜的次数少了，为了补充维生素，我还买了些水果。回到家后，我赶紧先写作业，写完作业后才把买回来的菜加热吃了。然后，我才洗漱上床准备休息。每到晚上临睡前，我就会躺在床上，拿着手机和妈妈聊聊天，说说自己一天的安排，谈谈学校里发生的有趣的事情。做完这些事情后，我还要调好闹钟，准备好第二天一早要穿的衣服，才关灯睡觉。

Every coin has two sides. On the one hand, I am quite satisfied with my university life. On the other hand, life in my university is not as satisfactory as what we had expected.

Here is the bright side of my university life: Firstly, Equipment of my university is advanced and teacher team is powerful. There is an advanced library that owns all kinds of books. So we can acquire a lot of knowledge from my university. Secondly, all sorts of lectures are given on campus. We can learn much knowledge that is interesting. Thirdly, my

campus activities are rich and colorful. Such as sports meets, speech contests, different social gatherings and dancing parties provide opportunities to make friends. What’s more, my dormitory life is very harmonious. Dormitory life is an important part of my university life. On the one hand, we can have a good rest and put our heart into study. This is the dark side of my university life: Firstly, there is only one dining room in my university. So we often need to wait in a long line, which waste much time. Everyday is always fixed cuisine types, which make our appetites depressed. Secondly, self-study room is not enough. Now we will soon take final exam. So it is difficult to find a self-study room. In my understanding, if we refer to an ideal college life as a formal western dinner, then a high GPA, that is, Grade Point Average, should be the main course, while an active part in

activities, together with associations, means the appetizer. Some romances, of course, play the role as desserts. They are the 3 key elements for an ideal college life.

Those, however, are not what college life is all about. As we all know, college is wildly different from middle school. It connects not only adolescence to adulthood, but also the ivory tower to the real society. Therefore, the ideal college life is that I become matured both physically and mentally, and that I obtain qualified academic knowledge and get well prepared for society at the same time.

Under this circumstance, I never expect my college life to be too ideal, or you can call it too perfect. However, this does little good to my future. What really helps is hardships like failure, betrayal, and unjust treatment. I have dinner at about 6:30 p.m.. After dinner, I often go to the outside to play games with my friends. We live near to each other, so we always play together. Sometimes,we play table tennis or badminton. Sometimes, we ride on bicyles. Anyway, anything could be funny when we are together.I usually go home at 8:00 and then take a shower. After that, I spend sometime in study or watch TV. At 10:00p.m.,I go to sleep.

How time flies! One month has passed before I could take any notice of it. This is the start of my freshman year in Fudan University. At the very beginning, everything and everyone is strange to me. But now, everyday and in everyway, I am getting better;I am getting used to it.

我的第一次独立睡觉，真是一波三折，现在想来真有点可笑。那一次的经历让我我明白了：世上本没有妖魔鬼怪，只是人们如果心中有鬼，便总是胡乱猜测，以致不能从容地面对生活中的一切。我们只有心中坦荡荡，做事情才不至于前怕虎后怕狼。

During the winter vacation, nothing is different for my life. i wake up 11 oclock am everyday, after a washing, i have a good lunch with my parents. next i play computer games till the time to have supper. after have dinner. i go on playing till 2 oclock am, and then go to sleep with tired. this is one dull day of my winter vacation.

But i havent bored all the time. sometimes i read the books, sometime i listen to the music or the radio in the bed, because it was very cold outside and snowy all the day. and i also meat some of my good friends during the vacation, we have a very long talk about the life of each other in the past year and play table tennis tegether. and i watched the spring festival party of the cctv in the last seconds of the 2004 year! i think this is the thing most people of china doing at that time.

I am a student who studies in a school which is located in Harbin. I was admitted into this beautiful school. I still remember the day when I first went to school. In my eyes, everything was pretty. I get on well with my classmates and teachers. Since I went to this school, I think of my teachers as my best friends like leaves and flowers. I never look upon them as others. It is reason why I often question my teachers on some problems is that I love them. When I am trouble and lose heart, they always help me settle these problems. My school life is very common. I get up at six o’clock every morningfrom Monday to Friday. And the I would go running with my classmates, as our head teacher says health is themost important thing. I have rested for a week. I began to feel bored. So I went out with my friends. They are my best friends in the middle school. We didn’t go to someplace special. We just saw the other.
