The Mid-Autumn Festival is one of the two most important holidays in the Chinese calendar (the other being the Chinese Lunar New Year), and is a legal holiday in several countries. Farmers celebrate the end of the summer harvesting season on this date.Traditionally, on this day, Chinese family members and friends will gather to admire the bright mid-autumn harvest moon, and eat moon cakes and pomeloes together. Mooncakes are rich, heavy, and dense compared with most Western cakes and pastries. They are usually eaten in small wedges accompanied by Chinese tea.

Ten years ago, there were many narrow streets.But now many streets have been widened. So buses and cars can go more quickly than before. Spring Festival is the most important festival in China .It‘s to celebrate

the lunar calendar ’s new year .In the evening before the Spring Festival

，families get together and have a big meal .In many places people like to set

off firecrackers .Dumplings are the most traditional food .Children like the

festival very much ，because they can have delicious food and wear new clothes

The traditional East Asian calendars divide a year into 24 solar terms (節氣). Lìchūn (pīnyīn) or Risshun (rōmaji) (Chinese and Japanese:立春; Korean: 입춘; Vietnamese: Lập xuân; literally: "start of spring") is the 1st solar term. It begins when the Sun reaches the celestial longitude of 315° and ends when it reaches the longitude of 330°. It more often refers in particular to the day when the Sun is exactly at the celestial longitude of 315°. In the Gregorian calendar, it usually begins around February 4 and ends around February 18 (February 19 East Asia time).

Lichun signifies the beginning of spring in East Asian cultures. Chinese New Year is celebrated around this time. Farmers often celebrate the beginning of Lichun with special village events, worship and offerings to the gods and ceremonies for a blissful and prosperous new year. In China, people eat chūnbǐng (春餅) on this day.

In the lunisolar calendar, New Years Day might be before or after Lichun. A year without Lichun is called 無春年 (no spring year). 無春年 is also known as 寡婦年 (widow year) in northern China or 盲年 (blind year) in southern China. Marriage is believed to be unlucky in a year without Lichun.

In the Republic of China, Lichun has been Farmers Day since 1941.

I like to see swimming match so much, the players swim so fast just like the fish. Recently, a boy named Ning Zetao is so hot, he won the men’s 50meter and 100meter in swimming, what’s more, he breaks the Asian record. He is very famous now, people call him the new flying fish in Asia. Elephant is the largest animal on land today.

It weights some ninety kilograms and is about one metre high when born. When it is 12 years old, it studs over three meters and does not grow any more. In the game, it needs to get allied to defeat others and win the game, so there is no way for one to win the game by his own. My summer vacation of this year was very enjoyable。 I went to the

countryside to spend my summer holidays.It is very beautiful there。 there are

green plants， clear rivers， lovely animals kind people。 i spent two weeks

helping my grandfather do some farm work there.Iwrote down what happened in my

diary every day.

The following plan may reveal the intensity of my desire to travel, work

and study in this vacation. In the first few days I want to climb Mount Hua Shan

with several friends to refresh ourselves. Then I tend to visit relatives,

ways to cultivate my abilities, I will find a part time job and conduct some

social investigation.

In short, I want to do interesting things in the summer vacation. Whatever

My fiat is made up of eight rooms：one hall，one bathroom，one kitchen，one dining room，one living room， two bedrooms and one toilet。The hall faces the front door。 When you come into my flat，you will first see the hall。The bathroom is on the right，and the toilet is on the left。In front of you，there are two doors。The left one leads to one of the bedrooms，and the right one leads to the living room。When you come into the living room， you will see two doors again。The left one leads to another bedroom，and the right one to the kitchen。The kitchen goes straight to the dining room。Besides，there is also a balcony next to the living room and one of the bedrooms。
