小兔子是惹人喜爱的小动物，它的毛色有白色，也有灰色的。它长着一双圆溜溜的红眼睛，像两颗玛瑙一 般。耳朵长长的，尖尖的，还会转动呢。尾巴短短的，毛茸茸的，微微向上翘着，被长长的毛掩盖着，要不仔细看 ，还看不见哩!它的前腿短，后腿长，跑起来一跳一蹦的，远远望去，就像小绒球一样一起一伏的动，可逗人啦!

小兔子的种类很多，大体上可以分为家兔和野兔两种，家兔是由野兔经长期驯化而来的，虽然被人喂养的 历史也已长久，但尚承袭着其祖先的不少习性。 兔是素食动物，它不以肉为食，但其躯体是其它动物，尤其是食肉动物甚为垂涎的美味佳肴。又因其个体 小，自卫能力弱，故常被其他动物所。从其祖先起就逐渐被自然选择为能逃避肉食动物，并传种接代的特有的 生理外貌和生活习性。

家兔承袭了祖先野生生活的习性，如胆小，举指轻捷，来去无声，后肢跳跃力强，繁殖力强，对敌害抵御 能力很差。家兔有打洞的习性，一般在夜间活动量大，常在白天睡觉。家兔不宜群居，尤其是雄兔，关在一起易互 相厮打。家兔适宜生活在干燥清洁的地方。

家兔繁殖力很强，每年可多胎高产。饲养6-8个月龄的母兔就可配种，当年的幼兔到秋季就可以繁殖。一般 每只成年的母兔1年可产仔4-5窝，每窝产仔6-7只，多可达10只左右。如果每窝产仔以6只计算，每只母兔1年便可 繁殖幼仔24-30只。 怎么样，兔子的世界也很有趣吧，可现在有很多人喜欢以兔肉为食，我们可不能做那样的人，也要制止试 图伤害我们动物朋友的那些人。
